I’ll give 1 star because I have no option for less. I will be suing this club for domestic violence. Security is very unprofessional and abuses their customers. Absolutely uncalled for what I went through last night over a 1/4 spilled beer. It’s a bar, drinks get spilled. The actions of the security at this moment and time, I have never seen in my 28 years of life. Working in the music industry for years I have worked with so many bars and clubs and still never seen this type of behavior. Honestly these little kids that call themselves adults need to be fired. The reviews precious make sense. It’s sad the owners hire such individuals. It’s a huge reflection on the people running this outfit.

Went here the day before New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Eve and had a blast! The dance floor was spacious and the music was superb. The bar service was great as well. We made lasting connections with folk who work there like Ethan, our favorite bartender, and are looking forward to partying there in the future!

The music selection needs a major upgrade. I get bored easily when it’s only top 40 music playing that’s not even that good.

My debit card was hacked by one of the bartenders last night. Used it at this bar.... nowhere else all day . A couple hours later, I started getting weird charges on it from fast food places near Ann Arbor and Downriver. Someone who works there is copying cards.

Not safe , I will never go back again , ZERO professionalism, Ann Arbor city need to close this place for safety and health hazards , NoT CLEAN, the owner need to pay attention to his employees customer services skills becouse they are bunch of bullies who enjoy to destroy an educated Ann Arbor resident who trying to enjoy his/her birthday party. Never again.

DJ plays a wonderful music makes the Saturday Nights awesome.It is not over crowded until 1 am. Free entry before 10pm after 10 $5. Drinks are affordable.We do not get a place to sit and enjoy the environment, As there is always advance reservations

Can you please play a real good music...all musics they are playing here are so outdated. There are tons of amazing EDMs out there. Its always so hard as an international audience to really dance with hiphops. Music here is so minus to everything else that it could gain great points. Search for a really talented DJ and listen to whats hot around the world!!!

Music sucked for over half the night. who plays slow songs when people are trying to dance. Also, the fire Marshall should be called because the amount of people they had In there is an absolute fire hazard even for being a club. If an emergency happened many would be hurt

They tried to charge me $5 at 1:30 in the morning when there is 3 people in their. Its a badd way to run a business because I woulda bought drinks. But since you tried to charge me $5 for nothing I took my money elsewhere.

Live is a great place to go dance! the staff is great, especially the VIP host Danielle.

Nice club with a pretty good atmosphere. Its not a huge venue but comfortable enough to get around. On Friday the DJ plays really good top 40 music that people can dance to. The crowd is normally in their mid to late twenties.

Was pleased with such an awesome bar staff. Could not decide what to order and the bartender the night I was there came up with someone that was absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere, clean and presentable club.

We were at Live for a drag show, which was super fun, however the bartender was extremely rude. Not only was he terribly rude but he tipped himself on our debit cards, even though we explicitly did not tip him. This is stealing and he should be fired.

Had a great time. Ramsey was one of the best bartenders Ive ever had take care of me. I told him what I was in the mood for and his creativity took over. Hes a magician.

Our group went here last night, the staff were rude, the place was dirty, the drinks were mostly ice than liqour and my friend got kicked out for standing up for himself after being the victim of sexual harassment. They sided with the assailants!

If I could give zero Stars I would. Accidentally bumped into a lady on the way to the bathroom who grabbed me by my shirt and yelled at me and I told her dont touch me b****. Come to find out that was the owners daughter she got physical with me I didnt touch her one time she went and lied and said I shoved her they said they would check security footage and never did. They also would not give me my debit card when I was trying to exit the place they told me they will bring it outside to me and I told him Im not going anywhere until I get my debit card right now. Two of the bouncers got really Rowdy with me got in my face screaming at the top of their lungs and made threats towards me. So they brought me my debit card out and I was angry and I told them that I was not leaving a tip at all due to the horrible service I was given so I put $0 in the tips space. Checked my bank account today to see that they took $8 in tips out from my bank account that is illegal and I will be looking into further legal proceedings to handle this matter due to the how horrible the service I was given. I would not recommend this club to anybody there were multiple fights! Ive never in my life had felt the hostility that I felt in this bar.

Service is a poor quality... we asked for a drink and the barman said he didnt have any ice. But he gave many drinks to his friends.The DJ. For us we called him, DJ 20 seconds. Each music he played, switched after 20 sec...First time, last time in this club...

Bouncer was rude to my husband and was confrontational. When paying for cover the bouncer was rude and condescending so we left and went to other bar. Not worth the wait and not a fun atmosphere, very rude staff.

Mixed bag at this establishment.Liquors: Mostly low-mid range, prices are high but not unreasonably so for a bar. I didnt see many taps, and what I did see was not impressive, but did not look at the bottle selection.DJ: The DJ was okay, nothing special. This doesnt affect my rating TOO much as the DJs rotate, but still.Bouncers: Great guys. One of them had to make me leave, but allowed me to get my coat from coatcheck, drink my water, and explain to my friends that it was okay and that there was no reason to visit this establishment if they want to treat customers in this way (more on this below).Bar staff (front bar): Great! Went to them for my second drink, very friendly.Bar staff(small bar to right of floor): Extremely poor service. I asked for light ice, he started pouring Gin into a glass packed TO THE TOP with ice. I tried to tell him to stop before he started pouring but he kept going, so I yelled a little louder (its a club) and he got irate. Yelled at me that he heard me and to let him work. He then proceeded to dump out some of the ice. Why it makes sense to dump out the ice after its been covered with Gin is beyond me, Id rather it stay in the glass. Im pretty sure he was just annoyed when I asked him to correct. A few minutes later my friends joined me on the floor and they also complained he was rude to them, without prior knowledge of my experience. Some time later in the night, I was feeling parched and a little sick so I went to the bar and asked for a water. After hearing what I wanted, the bartender then asked the guy next to me what he wanted, and proceeded to make him a drink. That guy also asked for a water, so the bartender then filled two cups with ice and a splash of water. He only filled mine about 3/4 of the way, the other guys was filled to the top. He then had to go out of his way to hand me the one with less. Was this a perceived slight? Its possible, but after his previous rudeness with not only myself but my friends as well, I sincerely doubt it. I always tip for water when the wait staff provides good service, but Im not going to tip for rude behavior. I quickly drank the small amount of water in the cup, and knowing I was going to get ignored, grabbed the wand and started filling my cup with water. He saw and threw me out of the club, making a big scene about making me leave while I casually and calmly walked to the front, stating no problem, Im leaving while he pushed me and yelled for security to take me out. I realize I was in the wrong for grabbing the drink dispenser, but I needed water and this guy was being a jerk about it. The bouncer made reference to the bartender being his boss, so this may just be a place I dont visit anymore.

Always have an awesome experience at LIVE. They have a big dance floor (usually packed) and the DJs are always killing it. Its the go-to spot after bar hopping on the weekends. Plus theyre always so damn friendly!

Live plain sucks. The security is a bunch of rowdy, bigoted country inbreeds who think they can do/say whatever they want. I would stay away from live, so many other places in Ann Arbor with better service, friendly staff and better atmosphere.

It says it’s open on Thursdays but I went there and they were closed??? Paid $5 for parking for nothing. I know not to come back. I’ll just stick with Necto

Came here based on a recommendation from a taxi driver as a good place to dance but was extremely disappointed. Loud, dark atmosphere with little to no dancing. Bar service was okay and drinks were fine but probably wouldnt return since there are so many other better options in the area.

Terrible experience, the bouncers were incredibly rude. After paying $300 for bottle service we were told I had thrown up in the bathroom and they were kicking us out. That was not true at all, nobody in our party had thrown up in the bathroom. When we tried to explain that to them they literally had 2 bouncers pick up my husband and throw him outside (he has bruises on his arms from being mistreated). The ironic thing is a male bouncer told me I threw up, how would he have known he wasn’t in the bathroom. And why would they kick out a full group of 20 people over that, they were clearly just making up a reason to throw us out. Either they’re racist or they were trying to give our table to another party, but I can’t believe we were treated so poorly. Live should really be giving us a refund for our bottle service and should really focus on hiring better management and employees.

Im giving them a couple of extra stars because theyre awesome enough to host Nerd Nite, and since Im not their usual clientele the rest of the month. That said, as a bar, its terrible. Lets start with their beer selection. Its 100% bottles and cans of big macro junk. Its 2014, and they dont have a single craft beer available in the place. They had a few decent bottles of liquor, so I decided to go with a whiskey sour instead. Suspicion confirmed: a shot of whiskey, topped with sour mix that isnt sour out of the soda gun. Gross, ok, next drink lets be safe, a scotch on the rocks. Should have done it neat, they filled the whole glass up with tiny ice cubes that diluted it before I ever had a taste. As I ordered, I overheard someone beside me reminding the bartender that their drink was supposed to have bitters in it. Hmm, I dont see any here, they must have moved that downstairs...Speaking of which. The sting of this was worse knowing that downstairs, from the same owners, is whats probably the finest cocktail bar in the region - The Last Word.Im not asking for much. Keep a stock of some Two Hearted or Founders Porter or something. Anything.

This place had managed to win the Slowest bar on earth prize numerous times, service is very slow and inefficient , I literally had to wait more than half an hour at the bar and was put out of my misery by a friend who gave me one of his beers, otherwise I would have still been waiting. Ventilation is poor and so is the places floor plan.Bottom line - go to the nearby Cavern, Necto or Ricks!
