Just a walkway up to the river. The woods can be kinda sketchy over here though. Carry Mace!

Anderson Indiana is a very nasty town. Those people treat that Park like a landfill. Me and my wife have clean that park numerous times. And the next day it looks like a garbage dump. The city doesnt care because numerous times we have seen the police and fire and rescue take their latex gloves off and throw them on the ground. If it wasnt for the humans the park would be great but because of the humans the Park sucks.

Nice place but needs road repairs, facilities, etc. A little work and this would be a great in town camping and picnicking spot.

The river very gradually gets waist to chest high on an adult making the shallows along the shore excellent wading grounds. There is easy access to the river for paddlers and plenty of trails along the bank for anglers who don’t want to get wet. The asphalt path is horse, bike, dog, and board-friendly so yield accordingly

River Bend Park is just a parking lot at a bend in the river. There are ruined buildings near by. My favorite part however are the paved trails and unpaved trails connected to the place. Have fun.
