This is one of the most beautiful spots to check out the Sacramento river. Keep your eyes peeled for bald eagles hanging out on the opposite river bank. I was lucky enough to watch one of the eagles swoop down and scoop up a salmon. Massive cottonwoods, and oak trees fill the park and you can bring your pooches and let their noses go wild smelling all the animal paths that crisscross the trails.

This park is honestly a sight for sore eyes. I dont know much about the area personally, but this park lines part of the Sacramento River and its very well kept with lots off seating, picnic areas, playground for the kids, and fishing access point in the far back of the park at the river. Would absolutely recommend this park to anyone interested in going to the area.

Cat Heaven!!IDK how they all came to be here, but Ill sit and watch cats play down by the rivers 3dge for hours. Some little old lady feeds them because they dont look hungry or starved. I do bring a can of cat food with me, but it never seems to warm them over and let me pet them. All is for the best, Id end up taking 1 or 10 home with me if that were possible.

Always lovely when the weather is so beautiful. Lots of lovely trees and wildlife to see, and a great place for a variety of activities. You can bike, walk your dog, have a picnic, do some disc golf, and plenty more. My only hope is they fix the former walking path that was destroyed by the floods quite awhile ago. Getting married here in September and I cant wait!

I took my daughter to this park to enjoy the outdoors. I was expecting to arrive at a little park with a little playground. Upon entering I was lost immediately and realized this park was huge; one you could drive throughout and pull off the road to explore. Some of the rocks on the ground were absolutely beautiful, shining in the sunlight after a long storm. Definitely will return when I am back in the area.

It worries about the Hawks circling and they are big and I was told they will pick up a tiny dog in a heartbeat. My friend worked a field in Redding and was walking the field and Just got a baby puppy and something came from behind him and it was a hawk and picked up the puppy with his claws and was gone My friend was beyond broken hearted, so watch open fields with small puppies Itd be nice to unleash a puppy so they can have fun running and playing without harm looming. above

This has been one of my favorite parks since childhood, I love this river I love this park I love its trees and I love it swings! I remember when the wizard of Oz swings were gone for a while and then they finally came back! every time I see them I hope they dont go away again. Today I decided to take my picture with one... But I didnt decide that till after I climbed up there to look and see what the inside of it looked like and had to try to dig my phone out of my pocket while holding myself up there with one arm in one way to take a selfie There are many social groups that meet here, clubs that meet your, a very well-maintained frisbee golf course, a remote control airplane park, bike jumps, great fishing spots, trail and field running, basketball courts, gazebos, there are social clubs, parent clubs, a community center that can be rented, This is a very well taken care of park That is loved by many :-). If youre in the area and looking for a park to go to, its worth checking out :-)

I brought a tiny baby bird that had fallen out of its nest into the wildlife animal rescue office in the park. I couldnt believe it but they took him in, fed him formula and put him in a warm incubator until hes strong enough to go into a wildlife bird cage with other rescued birds. Eventually they will set him free! What an amazing place to take all forms of rescued wildlife (but no domestic animals). The staff there are kind and helpful. Be sure to make a donation!
