For experienced hiker it’s an easy, short trail but with awesome view points! We hiked almost all the trails! There were several steep, narrow trails along the way.

Quick hike through the woods and you end up on cliffs looking west over the Puget Sound and Straight of Juan De Fuca. The main trail to Sares Head is fairly easy and about 1 mile each way. There are roots and rocks in the trail so no wheelchairs. If you get onto some of the other trails they can be very skinny and right near cliff edges and also quite strenuous with steep inclines and declines. All the trails are fairly short. A friend and I spent 3 hours out here and walked almost all the trails.

Got there in rainy conditions, but it was still pretty awesome. The hike to porpoise point was a bit treacherous, but worth the views.

Beautiful views, trails not marked well, can be a little confusing . Take a picture of the map at the parking lot.Update: As of summer 2019 when I was here, the trails are now very well marked. This is a very nice, quiet park with a half dozen trails to different viewpoints of the Puget Sound. Small parking lot

Large acreage offers a multitude of hikes suitable for didnt difficulty levels. Forest is nice, beach and bluff areas have a beautiful view of the Sound and part of Deception Pass. Despite nearby airbase, the forest is fairly quiet, though the planes are certainly noticeable once youre out of the tree cover. Bathroom at the trailhead is a port-a-potty, but picnic area is nice and parking is convenient.

Great hike with sunset views to point - if you want a challenge try the sunburst and porpoise point hikes for great cardio in a smaller hike. Combine all hikes for a fine trail run/workout. You can continue past the point for some distance views of Deception Pass area.
