We were up visiting family last week and they took us up to the park. On the way up we saw 4 buck deer and their does feeding on neighborhood lawns. They walked right by our car while we were stopped and watching them.Well worth the time to visit.

It was thickly forested park with a high point having a space to park about 25 to 30 cars. A beautiful viewpoint with a board displaying 1925 photograph of Hidalgo bay and itsa history. It connects you to the place. You can see the islands, factories and a grand scenic view al around. Have to be careful while walking due to rocky outcrops.

Sweeping views of the marina and waterway up high in Anacortes. There are some good flat rock formations to climb on and take some fun pictures. Be careful driving up as you go through the neighborhood since there are many deer that can cross your way.

Beautiful sunset watching from the Cap Sante Lookout. You can hike from the main trail from the marina than cut through the small forest and follow the trail to the top to get amazing view of the marina and City of Anacortes. Also you can drive all the way to the top for sunset viewing.

This is a beautiful lookout on Fidalgo Bay and deserves 5 stars. However there are a couple of downsides. Grafitti on the rock outcroppings, the best views require a bit of climbing, and there was a fair amount of broken glass and garbage.

Enjoy the beautiful views of Anacortes, the Cascade Mountains and the San Juan Islands all in one place. Its a short drive from town to this 37 acre wooded park.Parking isnt plentiful at the top and can be crowded on sunny weekends, however it is possible to park along the road on those busy days.Pay attention, use caution while driving to the parking area, there are often many deer along the road and they can become unpredictable.

Theres a really nice, wide paved walkway that ends with a view of the water. There are stairs that allow access to the shoreline, but it is a fairly narrow swath of land, especially at high tide.Dog walking is encouraged for on leash dogs. Owners are asked to clean up after their pets. Poop bags are usually available and there are garbage cans along the trail for responsible pet owners. There are still a handful of inconsiderate dog owners, but overall its pretty clean in the grass areas along the path.

Beautiful place to come and check out the surrounding areas and Anacortes to your right.. Everyone looks like tiny lil ants! Lol theres quite a few places that are MUCH higher than the parking area and if youre athletic enough, its worth the struggle to get up the rock. Im sure its not recommended to climb up it when its wet lol but this is a great old skool make out point to bring that lovely girl lol just be aware of your surroundings it seems like you could fall off with one small misstep
