It seems to be a trend with AQHA losing documents and then requesting more money in order to process clients papers. I mailed my transfer paper work for two horses. AQHA mailed a letter stating they wanted the actualcertificates. I mailed it back to them in the envelope they provided and guess what... they got lost. I have never had anything lost in the mail, but of course the thing that will cost me an additional $155.00 gets lost. Very frustrating and to me seems like an easy way to try to scam people for more money. I would recommend to send things certified mail to them when it involves money

The association itself deserves one star, but the people on the phones are friendly, while trying as hard as they can, with what they are given. Horrible computer system (what is this one, the 2nd or 3rd, that we have paid for as members, that doesnt work correctly, and gives us less bang for our buck?) that cant get out membership cards in a timely manner, and has less records access for paying members. They just took away one of a few free reports, that we paying members get anymore, since they scrubbed our $10 per month free records. Pay more, get less, is the motto of the new AQHA. Not the association that I grew up with, and it is sad, frustrating, and starting to feel like a rip off. I have an excellent new mare, but once she is done, I think I am, as well.

Worst experience ever, this place is a joke, I sent papers in OVER A YEAR AGO and not have received them, everytime I call them and ask why, they change the answer, so you took my money over a year ago and never contact me with pending issues so it can get fixed right away? Every time I talk to someone I get different answers. Some say its perfect and can be sent off, never get them, call and they say info is missing.. about to get a lawyer for this joke of a mess

I have been a member of the AQHA for many years. There are times I love it and times they tic me off...but its horse family. I will always be a member.

For an orginization based on membership you think you would be wanting members and not pushing them away. no other orginization is as concerned with transfers as this joke of a orginization. i know of several people who have bought registered horses only to end up with a grade horsecause aqha couldnt find every owner. was a member now im not nor will i ever be again. if you are smart you will save your money and not waist your time with this pointless overpriced club.

So far zero stars would be a better rating. HORRIBLE experience so far. Glad I have my tracking number for the papers it looks like they lost. This process has taken months and they wont send out my papers. They said they didnt get the original certificate. Well with tracking it said it made it over a month ago!! Not to mention I told them Id rather not send them because of them getting lost. They said there was no other way. So here I sit with no papers. They can cash your check though!

Was lied to about how there DNA genetic test results worked and given FALSE information and wrongly had $100 pulled from my account. Manager refuses! To get on the phone and make things right. They DO NOT care about the people just there money! Even in hard times like now during COVID they have NO problem taking your money and screwing you BE WARNED!

They have been holding my registration papers hostage because I refuse to pay more money for their delay/mistakes. It took 9 months to do a transfer on two horses before this issue. Worst customer service, different answer/excuse every time I call. Can’t get anyone to call me back or give me answers.

Worst customer service ever ! If only they truly cared about their members then maybe it’d be a different story , but unfortunately it’s not. You can call everyday and they will never pick up their phone, and by looking at the reviews I can see I’m not the only one going through this. AQHA needs to get it together because I’m getting tired of dealing with the same thing over and over and later on have to pay fees because they never decide to send me in the appropriate forms to register my horses. By the looks of it money is their only interest from their members

If I could put 0 star I would. Simple registration question on hold for two hours . Tried the leave number they will not call back. This is a piss poor organization. I have been a member for years supporting them any way I can. Stan Weaver should be resign. Two hours later they are closed still on hold. Will they respond nope call back nope. They don’t care about members. Will keep adding to this until they answer simple question.

I love quarter horses but getting help from the aqha is like pulling teeth. Everytime I call its a different answer I seriously hate calling them they are just as bad as insurance companies.

They care less about their PAYING members!! Two-three hours wait time for a phone call for support! Four times I have tried to get something as simple as papers for a colt...and can’t. They took my money and here I am.

Its been a night mare, no one ever calls you back. Charged us for DNA on a gelding, said they would give us our money back, never did, then they said send us pictures. Its been 8 months now no papers, on two colts. Girl on the phone said 3 months ago she would have them in the mail. She lied!! Then I called back and another girl said those papers belong to, someone else, I told her we raised them here. So far its cost us a little over 400 . The only thing I know to do, is write the BBB. Its been 8 months now, still dont have papers, on either colt. But they cashed our check, and took our money. Well still waiting on the phone its been one hour now. I think they sent my papers to someone else. I am worried I will never get my papers. This is crazy. Such poor service.

The Aqha over the past 20yrs has gotten terrible! Customer service is so below par! And I believe they think theyre the IRS with their hold times on the phone. Ive come to realize they only want people that sit behind desks as members!

Im giving this 3 stars based on past registration experiences only. This time around has been a nightmare! 1 star rating for this present experience. I have been trying to get my colt registered since Aug 2018! The first set of registration forms and check I sent in was lost (I thought it was just lost in the mail, but now Im not so sure it didnt get misplaced at AQHA somewhere). It took forever to get proper forms back to the stallion owner to be re-filled out and sent to me. I finally get everything I need, fill it out and send it in (this is now March 2019 were talking). My check wasnt cashed until May! It took several phone calls to actually get a DNA kit out, even though their records stated they had sent 2. Then lets not forget the getting the pictures sent 1 at a time...it took 3 attempts, and finally they received those. I finally get the DNA kit in June, send it the next day, as well as the confirmation of identification form to the listed addresses, only to receive an email approximately 3 weeks later that they have not received the confirmation form, only the DNA sample. I call them, and after getting a call back 15 minutes later, I am told that what they see on their end is the opposite, that they do have the confirmation, but no sample on record. WHAT IS GOING ON AQHA??? Where is the intra-department communication? It didnt used to be like this. I understand new computer systems and phone systems as I have just gone through such a transition at my own place of employment, but who is managing this organization? This has been such a frustrating process to say it mildly. I do have to say that, on the whole, the people I have talked to on the phone have been very helpful and courteous, but the last person I spoke to -Maribel- pretty much had a this is how it is so deal with it type of attitude. The last time I had to register a foal was about 9 years ago. The process was definitely not this grueling. I dont know if Ill be having any more babies in the future, but I really hope there are major improvements if I ever have to register a baby again.

Trying to get anything done through AQHA is a nightmare. Paid tons of money for rush fees and it’s been well over a week and a half and nothing has been done... it’s ridiculous! Hire more people or train your staff, PLEASE!

Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Ive waited months on a set of papers on a foal. When I call....waiting hours and days for a return call??? Hear different things from different people say that certificate is mailed —-don’t get it in mail??? What in the world can a member do ??? I’m at my wits end. Drive from Ky to tx??? Help! Member services ridiculous!!!!!

I am not seeing results at all! I sent an easy change in on March 26, 2019 via email and mail. The check was cashed in April 10, 2019. Still no new papers. I have emailed and called again. Three days later I get a call back where I am then transferred and am in hold again for 45 minutes to get hung up on! AQHA fees go up and their customer services went to hell in a hand basket. Very disappointed and wish there were another option to register horses. AQHA is not providing the services that we are paying for. Enough is enough.

Customer service over the phone is worse than anything you will ever deal with. 1 to 2.5 hr wait on the phone if you dont get accidentally hung up on. Recieved different answers to the same question 3 times. And now i have to plan a trip to register my baby in person (5 hr drive) because we can not get Anything done over the phone. And no registry papers = no value to my filly.

If I could give 0 stars I would, very horrible customer service, long wait times on phone. When you do get in touch with someone either by email of phone they are extremely rude. Send bills for things that are already paid for, and then cash your check 3 months later.

Terrible customer service. On hold for 1 hr and 13min. Now its past closing so Im sure I was left on hold for eternity even though I called an hr before they closed. Fees went up customer service went down.
