Found this place on a whim...Glad I did!..Hidden gem here. Laid back and quiet. They have a little snack shack, and they also have ice & firewood, and a boat launch on site ( The lake is gorgeous!!!) Staff was friendly, and stayed on point...very helpful!!And I cant say how awesome it was to be at a clean campsite! Bathrooms were not a traumatic experience like other placesOverall Im happy found this place...probably be back again

Long Lake County Park was a little underwhelming. Nice people, the bathrooms were clean, the roads are in good shape, and Long Lake Is absolutely beautiful, but I had a few issues also. The rustic campsites have few if any trees. They are smashed close together right in the middle of the camp and ours was right next to the play ground and bathrooms. I think our rustic site WAS the playground. I guess they call them rustic because they have no electric or water hookups.The fire pit was full of trash, the beach area was full of trash and cigarette butts. The quiet hours at night are not enforced and there are huge street lights that stay in all night.This campground is not horrible and I would use it again in a pinch, but not likely.

The silliest things youll see

Found this place to tent for a night near Alpena. Couldnt find anything near-by more primitive. The grounds were well kept and the bathrooms and showers were clean. It appears this is a summer retreat for people with large RVs. It was good enough for a night.

Very nice camp ground with a beautiful lake view from our site. Friendly staff. Great fishing and nice boat launch. Bathrooms were neat and tidy. The sand bar swimming was our favorite. We will definitely be returning.

Extremely nice campground hosts and county workers. Making this park a beautiful place to stay and enjoy beautiful sunsets.

I use the boat ramp here. The lake is nice, the ramp is nice. I have never stayed at the camp ground.

Camping site was small. Playground was nice and bathrooms were clean.

This is a great campground on Long Lake. It’s close to Alpena and other areas in northern Michigan. Most importantly, it’s close to Austin Brothers. There’s good fishing on the lake and clean camping facilities.

Visited here for the week. The park was nice however a permanent resident at site 40 is NOT an ideal neighbor. He threated to shoot us over a satellite dish that was on OUR site out of alignment for his tv apparently. We reported it to the office, however the office manager and he are buddies so nothing was done about it. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!! I would do no stars if possible. So completely inappropriate...

Long Lake festival fireworks were Awesome. Great spot for boating, fishing and vacations.

Very quiet and peaceful campground. Very orderly children and rowdies get thrown out. Would rehurn.

The fireworks show here is not to be missed! Simply amazing and the people in this area are terrific!

My family and I have stayed here four times always tons of fun . We had fun everyday clean area bathroom was taken well care of great crawfish fishing nice beach owners were very chill and welcoming. Thanks for our great memories

Water is warm and swimming area is clean. Nice sandy lake. Sunsets on the lake to die for!

Little noisy, our camping spot was very unlevel and the water and electric hook up was at least 50ft away. Most of the campers are permanent personnel. Bathrooms were somewhat clean. Will not be returning.

Horrible experience. Paid for a site, was never told site number. Management didnt return phone call until 11:30 PM, and left a rude message. It was too late and had to find a new place to stay in a panic. Only reason I gave one star, is you cant give zero.

Nice quiet place to go camping. Also a great place to launch a boat, kayak, or even a paddle boat.
