Super beautiful and peaceful here. Came here around 7ish before the sun set, it wasnt crowded at all and we were able to sit on the rocks right above the water and admire its beauty. We walked the pier next to the marina afterwards, which had a few interesting signs about the history of the area. Worth going to for a quick little walk and beautiful scenery

Dont be fooled by Google. On the way there I was directed to the end of the lane to the closed gates of an industrial park. Youre better off to follow the other traffic and park near the yacht club/childrens park area. Not really a lot to do here, but the view is great. Theres also information boards about some of the shipwrecks in Lake Heuron. Not a bad place to check out.

Bay View park is located at the edge of Downtown Alpena. This park has a lot of options, but you really cant swim here. The shore is lined with boulders to help stop erosion. There are however, many other things to do here. You can walk out onto the pier, you can listen to a free concert or watch a free movie. The city band also plays at the bandshell here! There is a wonderful play area for kids, with a lot of fun climbing activities. A tennis court and basketball court are also located at this park. And its within walking distance of Downtown Alpena!

Very nice park with basket ball tennis courts. Very nice playground area. Beautiful view on the lake. There are some great bike trails there as well.

A beautiful spot to watch the water in the Bay. A great place to get take out and eat in your car, especially during this pandemic, while enjoying the beautiful view.

High water levels made it impossible to enjoy the shoreline up close... shore line sidewalk was flooded!! But a spectacular view of the water!!

Lovely place to come for church in the park and concerts at the band shell. Kiddie park and basketball courts very close by.

Stopped by and ate lunch. Nice little park. Dog friendly. Walked the dogs near the shoreline.

Nice place to park your vehicle and watch the sun rise or set any time of the year. Many people like to take their lunch their or read the newspaper.

Beware the mud. The water is so far up parts of the sidewalk are being swallowed up. Otherwise beautiful park. Not for swimmers.

Beautiful open space along the shore of Lake Huron includes tennis and basketball courts and a band shell as well as an enclosed play area for smaller children. Adjacent to Alpenas small boat harbor and only a block or two from downtown shopping.

The water crashing in is impressive. There is no swimming.

Its the place to be. It provides so much for those who wish to enjoy the great outdoors. Wouldnt you love to see the village that raises you and be able to share in the moment of what it means to be alive? I do. Thats why I love going to see whatever is going on :) its more than just a place. Its UpNorth.

The view is Extravagent. Nothing like it for me personally. Im from out of the area and its summer now. I can sit on the rocks and sunbathe and its solitary. Amazing. The way the water crashes on the rocks. Mists you. A Must see

Walking the pier was a wonderful experience for my family. Beautiful view. Well maintained walkway and well lit at dusk. Nice way to view the Alpena Light. Can get a bit buggy (gnats mostly) so wear repellent. Looking at the docked boats is almost as mesmerizing as the view of the water crashing on the rocks.

This is a very relaxing place to visit. There is much activity at the marina. The yacht club is nearby and many boats can be seen sailing or fishing!

One of the best spots in town to play basketball and go for a walk. The nets are usually always maintained and in good shape.

Its pretty to look at but the marina was full of trash floating around, and the bugs are overwhelming when you walk out there late afternoon or night. The city needs to patrol down there a lot more a lot of funky people in the parking lot making it feel sketchy

If I would have had my hammock with me I would have joined the people in the trees by the water they were having a good time just hanging out in there hammocks It was realy nice.

Best place in the Alpena outdoors to get a break from the heat. Only critique is its missing a drinking fountian for thirsty kids.

This is a nice park. Always seems safe. Theres a nice big play structure. The pier is well kept. The Bandshell has concerts every Saturday in the summertime. And theres various different events that happened at this park throughout the year.

We were there foe Art in the Park and its a great place for everyone!

Clean & Fun! Took my 7 year old here last week and we had a great time. Walking the pier was fun too. Definitely recommend to other parents looking for an outdoor outing...

Bay View Park, is a great place to spend time at during the summer months. Theres a tennis court, a basketball court, the city band shell is located there, and theres a kiddie park for the kids. Theres also a large area for spreading a blanket for picnicking or just relaxing. Theres benches to sit and relax on. Part of the city bike path goes through the park. And its located along the shoreline of Thunder Bay/Lake Huron and is adjacent to the city marina. And its just seconds away from all the stores, shops, and other businesses in, Downtown Alpena.

Beautiful views of the Thunder Bay, spacious park grounds and multiple tennis courts make this place a must see. Great fishing from shore or pier. Free concerts all summer in the large band shell.

I grew up playing basketball and tennis on the courts here. Great park to watch the fireworks, have a picnic, go to a concert in the park, throw rocks in the water, climb trees, fly a kite, and more.
