Really nice, upscale hotel and anchor for your Northern Virginia/ DC exploration. Within 1 block of the DC Metro and right on King Street. I was able to stay in a connected room apartment with a full kitchen, and a lovely jacuzzi tub ( so nice !) . I HIGHLY recommend Club Wyndham. The staff were all so lovely and knowledgeable about the area. Im sure they could accommodate your every need.

Very good reception at check in. We got in late and needed water and ice and it was provided. One room had a view of th entrance circle. The other, a view of the trains that whiz by regularly. Amazingly some trains are louder than others but it is not real loud or disturbing. The rooms are roomy and comfortable. I just miss the washer and dryer. They do have a wash room on each floor.

The rooms werent bad, shower sucked in our room but others said they were fine. Location is good. Close to the Metro and some local food and a Wholefoods. Staff seemed nice but the sales force seems to walk around always selling or asking for a sales meeting. Not set up for people to really hang out at the building. Worth coming to if you want to have excursions to DC.

No swimming pool, minimal activities. Not a great resort for kids. Old equipment, had to deal with leaks, maintenance was at our unit 3 times. One of the only redeeming quality is the close metro station and the free King Street trolley. Melanie (the concierge) is one of the best people Ive ever met.

The Wyndham Old Town is primarily a basic hotel, and less of a resort. We enjoyed its location next to the Amtrak and Metro Station, and it was right next to King Street. The employees were very friendly, and the room was clean. The problem was that there are no amenities - no pool, no restaurant, no nothing. And while thats not a major problem, those things are expected when staying in a nice location where the room costs more than a regular hotel. Id stay here again, but I wont expect much more than just a room.

Had a wonderful experience at the Wyndham Old Town Alexandria. We enjoyed the convenience of being so close to the Metro & loved the free Old Town Trolley provided by Metro Transit. When you walk down the street of Old Town in the evening (during the Christmas season) it feels as if you are in a Hallmark town.

This is a very well groomed and kept Wyndham location. I would tell everyone who wants to visit the DC area and do all the tours, let the folks here make your tour reservations. This is a wonderful resort in a good location, steps from the King Street Metro. Rooms are spacious and quiet, though the resort is right next to the Metro and CSX/Amtrak rail. This didnt cause any problems sleeping, though we did hear the horn on the engine sound during the day every so often. Unfortunately it is a timeshare, and you may have to sit through a presentation/sales pitch.

Its fine for what it is but calling the please a resort its miss leading because it is lacking a few amenities. No pool, no hot tub, no on site dinning/room service. They have coffee and other drinks. A few games ... Pool table, foosball and a video games a couple lounging areas some outside lounging areas. Our one-bedroom unit was comfortable and spacious but the bathroom was on the small side. If I had children I dont think we would stay here.

This resort was beautiful and very clean. When we got into the room from being waiting getting our one bed deluxe ready. I went into the bathroom and came out laughing ( not in the happy way). There was a big open window plane over the juzzie which it was on the wall between the bedroom and bathroom. It did have a door with which why do we need it since when someone see , hear and smell from the window plane? Did I mention the plane was just two feet from the bed. No vanity in bathroom and light switch was in a bad place. Asked to if we could change to any room. But no response.

Ooooh! Let me tell you! The location is perfect! Its walking distance from TONS of shopping, eating, and entertainment. The Metro station is right across the street. I rarely walk, but it was a nice night and we wanted ice cream. I am so glad I did! King Street is gorgeous at night! Theres also a King Street Trolley that runs until midnight and its FREE. I didnt ride it, but my aunt and my son did - more than once. I am SO looking forward to riding next time and seeing more of King St. The Wyndham staff was great! Our rooms were beautiful! Definitely the expected Wyndham Standard. The only reason Im not giving them 5 stars is that the bathrooms need a bit of a touch up and the garbage disposals are not contained which is not good for families with young, curious children.

Review №38

We had an excellent stay here, and while Id love to give it a 5 star review, I had the same horrible experience at check in that I do every. single. time. that I check into a Wyndham timeshare where the concierge tries to badger you into taking time away from your vacation to be subjected to another high pressure sales pitch. They always make it sound like you have to go, and the concierge was very rude when I explained why we dont attend them anymore. Seriously, Wyndham, you guys need to come up with a way for owners to gracefully opt out of those sales meetings! That said, the rest of the staff was incredibly friendly, the amenities were great, and you couldnt beat the location. We were easy walking distance to the metro station, and there was a stop for Alexandrias free trolley system right outsider the resort! Our suite did smell a bit like a stale fast food restaurant all week, but our noses got used to it, and we had a fabulous time.

You can hear A LOT of noise coming from the lobby, both late at night and early in the morning and I was on the sixth floor. The way this hotel is designed, each room opens up to an open area where you can take a step forward and look all the way down to the lobby. Upon my arrival, the bathroom sink was clogged to the point of not draining at all. It was a bit difficult to figure out where the front entrance was and where we should park. The TVs are not smart TVs, so you will not be able to stream anything on them. Other than that, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the apartment was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were quite comfortable.

Friendly staff, nice units, great location. This is turning into one of my favorite trip getaways! Theres so much to do in Alexandria and its a super quick and convenient trip into D.C on the metro that is right across the street. I have to say the staff is some of the friendliest, genuine people Ive come across at a Wyndham property. They genuinely care about your stay and do whatever they can to make you well informed and comfortable. I called to ask if there was ice on the floor, they said theyd have someone bring some right up. I asked if they could recommend a restaurant for a birthday celebration, they not only made the recommendation and reservation, when we got to The Chart House, our table was saved with a little VIP tag! But- most importantly- I left a very expensive article of clothing behind. Once I realized I left it, I called and it was safe and sound locked inside their lost and found area! This resort and the staff get two thumbs up and 5 stars from me!

Pretty well maintained, with a beautiful lobby. No refreshment offered in lobby, which was a disappointment for the stature of hotel. Free bikes available owned by hotel. Within walking distance to many eateries of all variety. A walkable city, but in-season theres a free trolly that runs every two blocks. Uber is the best option to make your way to the National Mall, but I suggest you go early in the day. We enjoyed the courtyard on our down-time with board games that we brought ourselves, and a bottle of wine that we bought across the street.

Pretty area. Parking garage free but not as easy to find a spot if u go out. We have stayed here 2x. Staff is helpful & friendly. Rooms show some wear it could use some updating overall. Its super close to metro & area is full of shops & restaurants. Check out Del Ray neighborhood for quirky eateries nearby too & groceries. Laundry in some rooms but a washer & dryer on main floor. Single king room had a small kitchenette no oven, only microwave, stove top & small fridge & freezer. Small dishwasher in room. Things u need already there to prep meals. Very lil counter space or cupboard. Im gluten free so I made many of our meals in the room. Couch & small table & chairs. It was basic. Our room was not sound proof & there was some noise from other rooms, voices, TV etc very audible some nights. Train tracks for metro & csx etc were quite loud at times too. Bring ear plugs. We were on a higher floor & faced away from tracks time before. Its a great area to stay close to DC & Alexandria itself is very historical. Look online before going into Key to Alexandria city pass. Its like $15 person & gets u into nearby Mount Vernon, (Washingtons farm), Masonic Temple 9th floor observation tower (tour $18 adult separate) several area museums, history & Washingtons church etc.. like 9 attractions. Wish I had known about it in advance.

Right next to many good restaurants and two blocks from Whole Foods. The units are large and well maintained, the gym has been updated and is well equipped. They have family activities every day, including wine and cheese socials, and movies every night in the theater. Coffee and teas are also available all day in the lobby.
