Great performance of Christmas at Premberley. Fine acting and atmosphere.

Intimate setting, nice cafe, high quality performances. Comfortable seats with decent leg room. Bathrooms can be inconvenient, with only two private rooms on main floor bit larger facilities that can accommodate more people are down the stairs. Venue will be moving up the street at some point.

Love this place. Small intimate theater with always a great play. Just saw the Full Monty and it was a fun play. They have a small bar set up and offer several beers and several wines as well as limited mixed drinks and usually a mixed drink special geared to the show at hand. Nice night out and reasonably priced.

I love this theatre. It is an amazing space with great performances. The actors and tech workers truly care about the performance and it shows! Definitely get tickets and see a show here! Brilliant work! You wont be disappointed. Also, drink specials for the shows are adorable and delicious!

First time attending performance at this venue and loved it! It is small and intimate with the row in front of you low enough to not have a head to obscure your view of the performance. My wife and I were there to see the Full Monty, which was hilarious.

Went to see Shakespeare in Love. Theater is cozy with easy view of the stage. A nice place to see performances. Seats arent very comfortable--theyre a little dated. Staff is friendly and courteous.

I have been to Cap Rep a number of times over the past few years. This production, as others, was presented in top notch acting, comedic timing, excellent costume and direction. It is always a wonderful, memorable time! I hope one holiday season they bring back STRIKING 12, as this production has always been a favorite. Thank you to all who make these shows possible!

Intimate theater. A bit tight for leg room but tolerable. Ample restrooms which keeps the lines moving. We were handed a discounted parking voucher @ the crosswalk which made it easy to park & walk across the street to the theater. On street parking available if you arrive early & you dont mind hunting & walking.

We saw Christmas at Pemberly. The performances were spot-on. Creative sets and stage management. The only reason this is not a 5, is the theatre itself! These folks need a new theatre that can support the quality of the product! This is in the Capital of New York State! Wheres the Support!!

Wonderful performance of Red Maple. All in cast were engaging and flawless. Facility is getting tired. But the place was packed on a Saturday night. See the show!

So I could tell you about the great shows Ive seen, but tastes differ and shows change, so let me tell you about what Im always wondering the first time I go to a new performing arts venue:Yes, the seats comfortably fit a typical human rear.Ill give pretty much any show a chance on content (again, consistently good content imo also), but the best performance in the world cant be enjoyed in a one foot wide seat.Great venue; Ill keep coming back.

This is a great theatre venue. They also serve light snacks and hot and cold beverages. Performances are high quality.

Cap Rep is a wonderful theater. Each play is performed including Actors Equity actors, with amazing and creative sets. The theater is small and I have enjoyed shows from nearly every seat, the few that are partially obstructed are identified when purchasing tickets. The choice of plays is diverse, ranging from comic to dramatic, classic to world premieres. The quality is consistently very high, a season subscription is well worth the price, and the partnership with Proctors increases its value.

Am amazed at the shows they pull off. One of the best places in America for theatre outside NYC!

Whoever reviewed Paris Time for the Times Useless I would ask if he even seen the play. I was surprised and moved by the play and performances. Keep up the good work

I LOVE the Theater! Ive been an avid supporter of the Capital Repertory Theater since its inception. Ive attended at least one production each season. A few years ago, I was gifted with season tickets which brought joy to my heart. One of the perks that I cherished was the option of changing to an alternative date in case of an emergency. On Sunday, 11/26/17 I attempted to use that option for the second time since Ive been a subscriber and was told I would have to pay a additional fee. I refused the option to change, not because I dont have $5.00 +, but because I feel it is unfair to charge a fee for a seat on a different day when the seat is empty and was offered previously without a fee. I called back today, 11/27/17 for further information of the change. The explanation sounds like price gouging to me, just another tactic designed to get extra cash, which to me is very unfair to supporters. Of course, there are other theaters I could choose, but, I LOVE CapRep. However, I am saddened and disappointed about the extra charge. In my mind, this is a great way to loose supporters/subscribers.PS: I no longer use Holmes in my name, but, there wasnt an option to change it. I am Nell Stokes.

Saw she lovers me here, as well as a strand up comedy show. The seats are comfy, stage is well lit, an the sound system is on point. Productions are professional, actors are entertaining, and the small auditorium gives it a intimate atmosphere. Theres also a bar in there so feel free to drink before the performable, and enjoy yourself.

Awesome time at this location, downside was the mens restroom, 2 flights down, limited availability and long lines at intermission. Otherwise friendly staff, great seating, light, sound and of course amazing performance of Ring of Fire musical, the cast nailed it! YES, this is 5 stars!!!

Never been disappointed at any of the many performances Ive seen here at Capital Rep. Great casts and acting all around.If all goes well, by 2020 the theater will be moving a few blocks away to a newly renovated location with more seating, so keep an eye out for those exciting changes coming for The Rep!

Very much enjoyed our play and the venue is small but cute. The only reason I gave it one less star than perfect is the parking situation. It is unclear and unpleasant. Nice and close to all kinds of eateries do you want to eat before or after your play or even if you want to go out and get a drink

Ring of Fire was a great treat, talented acting and playing by a wonderful group. The space is intimate and season tickets are a steal

After laboring over the website seating chart to locate 3 seats near one another & not too far from the stage for the Evening with Janis Joplin show in August, we were surprised to discover the actual intimacy of the theater. Refreshments are available, as were show-related items for sale. Though its small and feels a little tight initially, we were ultimately comfortable in the space & enjoyed being able to be closer to the stage than we expected. The size really does add to the experience, and we really enjoyed the show that we saw; the quality of the casts voices was really superb.

This is the premier professional theater in the Capital Region. It offers very high quality live theater ranging from musicals to classical drama and comedy to regional premieres. Many actors come from local communities as well as from New York City. Stage design and directing are cutting edge.Full disclosure: I am a life long theater lover, and have been a volunteer usher at the Rep for 10 years.
