Beautiful park the river is beautiful great place to picnic with family have a barbecue. Walking and bike paths along the river Definitely will be returning.

24/7 open beach made from the Colorado River in Yuma, Arizona. Perfect for cooling down from driving from the East Coast to the West Coast from the summer heat. Water is slightly warm we’re it touches the sunlight but still cold enough to enjoy... not sure how cold the water can get during winter in the area.

We are not from Yuma and stumbled upon this while traveling. Was a great little Park and some interesting history to boot. Theres also a small sand beach that looked to get quit a bit of use too. Quite a few people were playing in the water and floating for small distances. Great break from the high heat in the summer. Water looked only to be a few feet deep so no need to be a strong swimmer.

I love gateway park,due to the current thins to do there.as well,theres the lovely people whom are there daily.

Great place to sit under the shade and relax looking out at the Colorado River. It also has nice walking trails and a green area with playground for the kids.

Plenty of parking, some shaded. Played in Colorado River with my kids, mostly shallow. Even with a lot of people on weekend, social distance was not an issue.

This place is so pretty! I drove from San Diego and got here right at golden hour, so I got go see the sunset here. I even got to see the train go by, so that was exciting for me. Really nice park!

Cool place to hang out with friends and family, the bridges provided good shade and the water is clean and keeps ya cool in the hot weather we have in the valley region.

Loved it. Though people are dirty they leave their trash everywhere. In the river. Of course no bathrooms are open and. Yup you guessed it. The thought of renting a Shade Booth is ridiculous, but I guess. Just needs a little more attention.

Fun bike ride from Gateway Park to the other parks. Trails go all the way through connecting several parks. Some nice ones along the river. Pretty level easy riding, you can go as fat as you want. Several lengths and options are available.

Very nice park. Great to walk along the river and let the kids play at the playground while on route from San Diego to Phoenix. Climbed on the old steam engine. And saw actual trains crossing the bridge. One park type restroom

I dont know how to delete this or how it got labled Gateway Park.This was SUPPOSED to be a restaurant review!I would actually give Gateway Park 5 STARS!Its a bit of an odd place but the food was decent even though the service was pretty slow for an empty restaurant and a half full bar.Although, we had just blown into town and they were rolling up the proverbial sidewalks. Our waitress was very nice but it was obvious she wanted to get out of there so we felt a little rushed to finish up. They were still belly up to the bar as we exited though.

Little Caesars Pizza is located here. Gotta love those 5$ hot-n-ready pizzas.

I was at the California side recently clean. Removal of invasive species took place such Phragmaties, and tamarisk trees. I was monitoring a herbecide application to irradicate the new growth.

Were always under the bridge because the sun moves a lot plus we have fewer people up by us compared to right on the river bank. People were jumping off the bridge this time around so I want to let you know that its illegal to jump from the bridges and you can be arrested for.

Nice beach with a mostly quiet park and playground area. Bridges provide good shade. Lots of trails to exercise on our just to explore.

Easy access, shaded parking and the Colorado River male this for a great stop on a hot day.

PLEASE PEOPLE WHO GO THERE DO NOT BREAK GLASS THINGS LIKE BEER BOTTLES AND TROW THEM IN THE RIVER CAUSE LATELY I HAVE PICK OVER 50 PIECES AND THERE ARE CHILDREN AND ELDERS AND US DIABETICS WHO WANT TO ENJOY THE RIVER SAFELY THERE IS ENOUGH TRASH AROUND PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOU GO ENJOY A REFRESHING TIME AND DO NOT MESS OUR ONLY FRESH PLACE TO ENJOY... THANKS

My favorite spot for a walk along the Colorado River ... Right under the Old Territorial Prison state park ... my place for quiet contemplation and reflection !

I just love coming here. Theres great ambiance since the people are nice and fun. Theres also lots of parking available and convenient restrooms. And the whole area is pretty clean.

Gateway Park has plenty of river sand beach area, several gazebos, and plenty of play areas and parking. Fishing and swimming/wading, mountain biking, picnics, Gateway Park has plenty to keep your family engaged.

Located along side the Colorado river and under the Ocean to Ocean bridge this park is a jewel for both tourists and locals to enjoy. Families can picnic at tables under the gazebos or in the sun. In this area you can swim in the river, fish, bike, kayak, or enjoy walking trails to the wetlands, or up to the historic interpretive plaques that explain the early days of Yumas history. You could spend and hour or a whole day, and it’s dog friendly as well! Yuma has turned an otherwise seedy area under the railroad tracks into something to be proud of. Great job!

This is a great park for the entire family! Clean and very well manicured landscaping. Its a perfect spot to grill or take the kiddos to the playground, also a great place to ride bikes, run or do a leisurely walk. Easily accessible for handicap. Has a nice beach for swimming or if your like me and like to Fish plenty of shoreline to cast from for Bass,Catfish,Carp or bluegill. Excellent spot for your photography and just under the Ocean to Ocean Highway bridge.

Great Riverside Park. This is a great place to relax and enjoy a family day out right near the river. Beat the heat and take a swim in the river then relax under the shade and enjoy all the park amenities. Located near the Wetlands Nature area which is a great place to explore the natural environment.

Gateway Park is lovely. Our church had a river baptism and pot luck there. Many people sat there chairs in the lush green grass.

We took a nice walk by the Colorado River, watched a group float by in inner tubes, and saw a young girl building a sand castle on the shore. Ill be back when its a little cooler to take a longer walk!

I remember all the homeless people that would be living in the area and it was not safe. The City of Yuma should be complimented on such a beautiful park.

Fun for everyone, shallow areas for small kids, deeper areas for adults and strong swimmers. Theres shade, play ground, grills, and shower to rinse off. Lots of fun for the whole family.

Has shallow water for the kids and a deeper spot if you can swim. The shade under the bridges is nice. The beach is sandy. The current was not strong when we went.

It is a nice place to hang out with family and barbecue just sometimes gets a little to packed and the water just full of insects that we can bearly see thru the water. I recommend it to family and friends but only certain areas.

Great view of the river. Has been built up significantly over the last two decades. No lifeguards on duty so swim/wade at your own risk. The areas deeper in the brush are occupied at night so be cautious.

I love parks. Theyre so peaceful and beautiful and this obe is no exception. I highly recommend this park!

Awesome clean, shaded wading area under the bridges. I hear there is good fishing here, too, for blue gill and cats.Some good Geocaches in the area and a good place to catch some Pokémon that you dont see much in other areas.Nice place to being the family anytime, but especially on hot days.

Gateway park is a great place to enjoy the cool Colorado river. Excellent for young children to play on the shallow Rivers edge. IT has picnic tables shaded under canopy. Lawn grass areas ,bar b q pits and very nice winding cement walking and biking pathway.

My kids loved it but the water is just nasty

Nice little place on the Colorado. However be careful walking through the trails as I did spot a rattle snake last time through.

Love this place. Waters great, theres kiosks for pics, and its dog friendly. Wish I had found it at the beginning of summer instead of at the end. I would have visited more.

The river front comes together under the bridge and the city keeps it very clean. There is a hiking trail to follow and its marked with tid bits of information regarding the flora and fauna along with some historic lessons as well.
