Really nice waterfront park for picnics. Well maintained gardens with picnic tables. Nice ambiance. 4 stars because there isnt a bathroom.

My wife and I visited Wolfeboro for a day as a stop on our vacation trip. We liked strolling the streets and lanes, popping into shops, browsing galleries and enjoying an ice cream. Then we spent some time walking at the Cate park. The park is well maintained and lovely. It was a warm day so we could sit in the sun and enjoy the peace and quiet and the views of Lake Winnipesaukee. The Park is close to all restaurants in very walkable Wolfeboro. Highly recommend this spot for visitors in the area.

We live 30 min away from Wolfeboro and visit Cate Park many times during the year. The Park is tiered down a hill ending at the Wolfeboro Public Docks. There are plenty of benches to relax and enjoy the views of Lake Winnipesaukee. In Springtime, there are many flowers and shrubs in bloom among the well manicured grounds. Summertime brings out many boats. You can bring chairs and a blanket dnd picnic in the shade. On Saturday nights in Summer, there are concerts at the bandstand. Fall has many of the Maple trees in full color. In Winter the Lake freezes over. On a warm day you can sit in the sun and enjoy the peace and quiet. The Park is close to all restaurants in very walkable Wolfeboro.

This is such an adorable park! It is right on the edge of the water, right where people can put in their boats. Very often in the summer there are musical concerts that are free. Lovely mature trees and plantings. Would be a great place for picnic or to meet people. And there is ice cream right on the other side of the parking lot!

Part of lake Winnipesaukee we like to go there to see the boats. The end of September there are race boats and vintage boats. The shops there are nice and food is good.

Great place to sit in the shade while watching the boats dock, especially with an ice cream from one of the many shops in town.

Small but beautiful, right in the heart of Wolfeboro. The Summer concerts are inviting to this lovely gathering place for community and visitors.

Nice little park in downtown Wolfeboro. Built on the lot where there used to be a gas station! Very nice view of Wolfeboro Bay. There are concerts in some evenings at the pavilion here. Trees provide shade and flowers provide beauty. Relaxing after the somewhat hectic downtown streets during the Summer.

Nice spot on the water for a picnic, enjoy music by the bandstand or just to relax.

By the Lake, great views, meet nice people, near a great ice cream store, whats not to like !!

Cate Park is a great place to visit and spend some time relaxing. The park has beautiful gardens and some neat sculptures to admire, plus there are lots of benches throughout the area to sit on and relax. This isnt a park where youll spend hours, but its a great place to get out of the sun and refresh while enjoying the view or a quick bite.

Great place to hang out listen to live music. Best time to visit is on the 4th of July. Overlooks Wolfeboro bay very scenic.
