My husband and I randomly came upon this place last year during a trip to explore Wilmington and we fell in love! We met and chatted with a few of the artists that work out of the space and it was as if we had been acquaintances for years. Some of the artwork here was so beautiful and compelling that it made me cry. We also were able to participate in a photography competition which was really fun.We have been toying with the idea of moving to Wilmington for years now and finding this place definitely moved us further in the yes direction. If you have time and are able, please explore this wonderful artist space.

The ArtWorks contains a dozen or more mini-galleries and studios for individual artists, all of whom are very talented. Among the artists, you will find painters (oil, acrylic, & watercolor), sculptors, glass artists, and more. Most of the displayed art is for sale. Prices vary. It is a great place to shop for that unique gift or for new art for yourself.I am including a photo of a stunning example of Elena Wrights glass art. This gorgeous angel is approx 4 ft x 4 ft, and weighs 17 lbs. She also has functional pieces, such as vases and bowls, in variously blended colors. I loved her unique creations!

Their fourth Friday event is a great time to meet the artists and learn their stories. When you walk in youre asked to sign in. You can grab a drink and listen to the music or go mix with the other guests talking to the artists.After visiting, take the time to walk down the street and visit one of the local eateries. theArtWorks is in an up and coming neighborhood take advantage of everything being offered in this area.

The owners, Jim and Betsy, are wonderful people who make you feel comfortable and right at home. I plan on going back many times.

Amazing space with an interesting set up...much like walking down a city street with each artist studio having its own unique storefront. Wide variety of artistic mediums including sculpture,paint,woodwork,jewelry and more.

We attended a Fourth Friday Gallery Night last month and it was amazing. The gallery layout is open, well kept and decorated very nicely. There was impressive art displayed in each room and the artists were very friendly and interesting to speak with. We really enjoyed the food and entertainment plus we found 2 paintings that we are planning to purchase in the near future. If you are in the Wilmington area, you must check out this event.

The ArtWorks allows so many talented artists to work creatively along with selling their art to the community on Fridays and Saturdays. As you stroll through the building each studio has the personality of the resident artist on the facade. It is a great art community idea and one that will continue to evolve allowing the public opportunities to be involved and around wonderful talent and art. Try and visit soon.

I have a studio here and I love it.

I love this place, but many vendors are doing paintings. I would love to see more of a mix of smaller handcrafted items. Worth a stop on for sure.

Nice to have a place that houses local artists. I called to find out hours as I wanted to make a purchase. The employee told me open hours, only to arrive to a closed venue. I would be weary of placing my art here as an artist, as they never seem to be open.

This is a collection of rented spaces for artists. If you like to buy art or make art then this is the place for you.

TheArtworks is a great spot for those who like to get a taste of the awesome talent from the Wilmington area. the artists are so sweet and their studios boast some very cool and creative pieces. And Jim and Betsy, the owners, are great to work with. They really care about what they do and the space reflects that passion for art and creativity. Fourth Friday, which is the event they put on each month, is a fun time to visit, because theres live music, wine, and food. Most of the artists show up and have their studios open to the public to view. its a nice atmosphere to discuss the works and to share in the areas love for art. If you ever find yourself in Wilmington, or if youre a local, I definitely recommend stopping by and examining what this towns artists have to offer.

Yes this place is a joke!!! Jim the owner is very unprofessional and a pathological lair!!! Dont believe a word he says... He does treat his wife badly too!!! I do not recommend this place. Also, do not let your kids go there for lessons either. ..

A wonderful magical place!

The worst experience I have ever had at a Art gallery!!! The owner was speaking to his WIFE in a very rude manner (profanity) No A/C in the building whatsoever, the restrooms were very dirty!! The owner is a very disrespectful man too!! I would not recommend this place to ANYONE!!
