Well maintained trail and one mile to the top for a Beutiful view. Its quite technical, and as a beginner trail runner took me 25 minutes to get to the top. Would also be a fun hike, but a bit too challenging for my seven year olds. About a 500 foot climb, steep but Im sure a fitter person than me could run all the way

Enjoyed being in woods, however, poorly marked getting to overlook. Marked well til you get close to the top then specific about overlook. We tried two trails & gave up. Another coming down also couldnt find. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Would like to try again.

Great place to hike with the family..Sometimes dogs are unleashed and bags a poop are left.... very busy location trail head is sometimes full with no place for parking. Trail head could be bigger

Had a great winter hike, though we did get a little lost, we ended up back on the trail with an extra mile hike. The trail is moderate hike, in winter with snow and ice, could be better marked, but you can get there eventually. View at the top of the trail is worth it!

This is a great, short hike up the hillside with a treat at the top. Great for kids and adults alike, though there are a few step sections with lose rock and lots of tree roots so watch your footing.

Well kept novice hike close to Burlington with two egresses for variety. Not the best view at the top due to overgrown vegetation, but theres a bench. 35min or so to the summit. No ticks found afterward, mid-July.

I really enjoyed this hiking trail. The town of Williston clearly does a great job with the upkeep. The view at the top is beautiful. I did see three people on the trail with their dogs off leash but they were friendly dogs and each owner warned me ( one lady even asked me if I was ok with it). I love dogs and did not mind but other people might care. There was plenty of spots to rest if needed but the trail isnt difficult. The trail is clearly marked and visible so its very easy to navigate.

07/27/19 We, couldn’t find the entrance as the vegetation had overgrown the sign. Disappointed that there were no maps at the parking lot, not even a billboard with info. There for the first time and expected the trail to come full circle. My wife and our puppy ended up on Sunset road and walked the roads back to our car. Trails were marked but never said which way to go back to the parking lot. Glad we didn’t hike it in bad weather. Trails were dry and no bugs! Saw four doggie bags left on the side of the trail. What do people expect someone to pick up after them. Probably won’t be back. The puppy was totally exhausted though.

This time of the year, there were no bugs, trail was dry, in good condition. Its a beautiful spot, with ledges and switchbacks and great old trees ... Very picturesque, with enough climbing to keep it interesting!

Didnt finish the hike to the 4nd, but enjoyed what we walked. Went in late winter and most of the trail was a sheet of ice. We had crampons which helped. Cant wait to go in summer.

Lovely trail and worth the slog. Very pleasant throughout but coming down can be hard on the calves if you dont deal with hills regularly. Great vista at the top! Take plenty of water.

This is a popular short hike in Williston. The trails are well maintained and marked. I bring my dog here all the time, and he is usually safe to be off leash (it depends on the other dogs there at the time). Its a short 1mi hike to the top of the hill, and the views from up top are wonderful. On a clear day, you can see out across the valley. I would definitely suggest this if youre looking for a quick outing, or someplace new to walk the dog.

This is a very nice trail. Its about 1 mi long and ends with a scenic overlook that has a bench. The trail is clearly marked with yellow arrow signs. The parking lot is very easy to miss. Its marked by a brown sign surrounded by trees, making it very easy to drive by. The lot fits about 8 cars.I would recommend bringing waterproof shoes and bug spray. While a fair amount of the mud is covered by wooden planks, there still are some puddles and mud patches. The puddles are the perfect breeding ground for mosquitos. Also, a lot of people bring their dogs on this trail. People and dogs are generally very friendly.Happy trails!
