Amazing! My family and I went to several haunted houses tonight and the Frightmare Compound was by far the best in Denver. The actors were on point and ready to pounce. This place totally transformed from last year and is now a must stop before Halloween. We showed up at 9:30 tonight and lines were pretty short. I would totally do this again and are seriously considering doing the lights out nights.. We did that a few years ago and it was totally awesome! The Frightmare Compound is located at 10798 Yukon St, Westminster, CO 80021.

Where do I even start. the Frightmare Compound is the best haunted house I’ve ever been to!! The atmosphere is very realistic and gives you the feeling that it is real. The owner of Frightmare is extremely smart, cleaver, and creative for creating such a Haunt. As soon as I entered that door leading into the first scene of the haunt my heart dropped. It was so terrifying! The actors where amazing and the staff in the front where extremely nice. I am a satisfied customer and would willing spend my money here again! I’m giving this haunted house five out of five stars!! Great job! Buy tickets at the Frightmare Compound! It’s worth every penny!

The owner of it whose name is Josh is very nice and cool. If I was able to I would give the framer compound 11 out of five stars because it was hands-down amazing! The atmosphere is creepy and hands-down it’s worth every penny!

Did not disappoint! Even with COVID going on, this place had everything taken care of! We were not rushed through. I never saw any other groups, in front or behind us. This was nice, because we could actually enjoy the props and soak it all in. This was probably due to the fact that we went on a Wednesday. So I do recommend going on a weekday and not the weekend. They have changed a lot over the years and its nice that they keep changing so that they dont remain the same old haunted house. Five stars all day! Great job guys!

I loved this haunted house so much. The wait wasnt long at all and the haunted house wasnt short at all. The actors were amazing and their masks were so cool and unique. The different effects like the fog, the strobe lights, moving floors, and quicksand were so cool and added more realness to the haunted house. The actors definitely gave me a jumpscare every time. The detail is so good and all of the props are just so dope. I highly recommend going here.

I came here with some friends and we really enjoyed our visit! It was a little bit of a wait but that only served to build up our excitement. It was awesome to walk through and see all the different masks that the scare actors had and I believe that they did an awesome job scaring the dickens out of us. Walking through the different areas and seeing how each was done up and scarified was also super cool. When we left, one of the security guards was nice enough to help us take a picture in front of the banner that’s near the entrance. Serious props to the whole team over at Frightmare Compound! Thank you for the screams!

This was my first haunted house so I wasnt sure what to expect. I typically scare very easily though so I was super nervous to step foot into this place. There were some cool parts and the fact that some of it was outside made it unique. It took us about 15 minutes to complete the whole thing. Unfortunately, there was a big group ahead of us which we did end up running into. The actors were focused on them, which made sense. While waiting in line, there is a recording playing which states that you dont touch the actors and they wont touch you. However, at one one point we came into contact with an actor who grabbed my hood and pulled it down off my head...I guess to try to scare me...? It seemed a little out of line and I definitely didnt appreciate it. Overall, it was an okay experience considering the online ticket ordering price of $73 for two people.

By far a better haunted house than the 13th Floor. Unique, mostly outdoors, and very scary. The actors are all believable, and the best part about this haunted house is that you seem to be walking through it ALONE. Thats right, they only send you through with your own group, so you never see people in front of you or people behind you. That changes the experience exponentially and makes the Frightmare Compound one of the best haunted houses in the country.

It was really well done and all of the sets and scenes were really cool, going through outdoor areas, buildings and even caves were super fun and interesting. It was fun watching my friends be terrified and getting chased around. One of the best parts was immediately getting scared by the weird pig monster after we thought we were safe from the chainsaw guy

What a cool place! I had an amazing opportunity to model and shoot with talents artist and models at the frightmare compound. Josh was extremely hospitable and so excited to have us there capturing the spooky abandoned ambiance. I have been to many Halloween haunted events in Colorado before and I am not easily scared. Walking through this maze while the sun was up gave me a chill and I can’t wait to go back in the evening while the actors are in role! I think this haunted maze might actually give me a fright! There are so many unique items, this place is so cool you’ve got to see it!

Waited in line for nearly 2 hours witch in no way was social distanced. As we moved closer I was hoping for coco but was refused maybe for the color of my skin or the fact that she was just in a mood. As we got closer to the entrance I was met by a clown who showed no effort in his role he clapped and called it good. One of the actors even went as far as chirping at me and my girlfriend for not being scared. Overall the worst experience I’ve ever had any where. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY on this scam. To top things off at the very end a big spinning wheel knocked me to the ground resulting in injury. A day later took a trip to the ER and fractured my wrist. The Frightmare Compound will be hearing from my attorney very soon.

Soooooo not worth the price. We spent 140 for 3 people for VIP tickets and still waited in line for 15min and we were in and out of the actual attraction in 15 min. Super waist. Meh. The setup is great. They really, really did great with the actual layout; but the scare factor was zero. Predictable jump scares, and the clown house had entirely too much fog machine mist (it was hard to breathe because of it).The customer service is severely lacking. The VIP line moved at the same rate as the other line, you just move further to the front to begin your wait.Waiting areas are channeled que’s with no distancing whatsoever, and no heating. We went and it was 23 degrees outside. Standing still in line with no heat source isn’t fun; once inside though, you’re moving and you forget that you’re cold. You miss the concession stand altogether if you don’t actually look for it. I’m not sure why the high reviews; I definitely don’t think it was worth the 90 minute drive.

They oversell tickets. There was no social distancing; the line to General Admission is a small hallway and it was literally packed shoulder to shoulder. They sent groups through way too quickly. The group ahead of us was way too close; we would approach actors still busy scaring the group ahead and some of them seemed to just give up when they saw us because the surprise had been ruined. I also felt bad because the guy in front of me kept asking for space but there was none to give. This place has a lot of potential but was executed poorly.

My group and I were extremely hyped up about visiting this haunted house. We purchased general admission online and upon arriving the line was extremely overwhelming to look at. We were told that it would take awhile and therefore decided to upgrade to the VIP ticket. Before we were let in, we asked the employee how long the experience would be and he said specifically 30-45 minutes. Well, to our surprise it was a good 10 minutes to get through the entire thing and we were going slower compared to other groups. Even then, we literally had to stop several times because the group behind us and in front of us were right by us. There were very few actors and the worst part is we literally witnessed a worker, who wasnt an actor, fixing some equipment that wasnt working. We tried talking to him about what was happening but he walked away. This place is extremely overrated and definitely not worth the $180 price tag for our group of four.

We did this haunted house last night and it was AMAZING! I would 10/10 recommend it to anyone. I live in Orlando and am an avid Halloween Horror Nights fan - this house was just as good, if not better than the houses at HHN. The detail and set designs were incredible and the scares were fantastic. I actually got scared more in the Fightmare Compound than I typically get in an HHN house. The scare actors were well hidden and would follow/chase us when they were able to. It was just 2 of us, so I’m not sure how well the scares are with a larger group, but they were so well done for us. The house was also way longer than I expected, took us about 20 minutes to walk through it. We did catch up to the group in front of us, but that was only because they were going way slower than normal. We would stop every so often to let them get further ahead. I also recommend buying your tickets at Costco if you’re able. They have a deal for 2 VIP tickets for $44.99 total. Great deal! Regardless though, this house is definitely worth the full priced tickets as well. Thank you guys for continuing to put on this haunted house while maintaining safety standards for everyone :)

Last year (2019), this was our favorite haunted house. This year (2020), least favorite, what happened? (1) They report more attractions this year, actuality, they got rid of about 30% including the metal barn at the end. (2) We had an ADA compliant issue that they would not accommodate. What facility in 2020 cant accommodate ADA? (3) Dont purchase VIP, or if at COSTCO, get them, but the line and benefit of VIP doesnt exist. The facility alternates 1 VIP to 1 regular admission. (4) Reservations dont mean anything, you will still wait in a line from 30 min to >1 hr in a NON SOCIALLY DISTANCED LINE. (5) If you wear sandals or have a concern, they wont tell you until you are next to go in line. What does this mean? You may get kicked out of line, hold up the line, be embarrassed, deal with unreasonable and uneducated management (he claimed to be anyways). (6) Staff acts like this haunted house is the scariest and most dangerous facility in Denver...FALSE. The haunted house this year blew. They make such a big deal about the actors because they now have these metal sparker things like Knotts has had for 20+ years, wow. The best haunted houses we have been to this year was Field of Screams and 13th floor, which were both very accommodating as well as done excellently! The companys reply doesnt address any of the concerns I mentioned, creates a false narrative to deceive their customers, and goes on to ridicule their customer. So who is the real monster??? If they are truly worried about their customers, they would (a) have socially distanced lines for their customers safety, (b) address ada concerns which they dont, (c) treat their customers with dignity and respect. If the management or owner of this facility are the shining example (i.e. dont address any of the concerns mentioned, ridicule their customer), then what does that say about the integrity of their facility? Waste of time and money, promise.

It was a fun evening, but the haunted house was underwhelming. We really wanted to love it. Cool vibe when you arrive. But as someone who is very easily scared, I barely jumped. The haunted house itself is super cool, but they don’t have even close to enough actors inside to jump out and scare you. Plus if you are walking in a group, the people in the front get all the scares as the actors than retreat. When they come back out, they do the exact same thing that you already saw coming. We would’ve saved our money and the time in line to do something else. We also paid to skip the line and it was a similar wait time as those who didn’t.

I have lived in Westminster, Colorado for 32 years- over the years I have visited countless haunted houses to include all Colorado haunts, a few in Utah, California, and Florida- Frightmare is on a different level than anything I have ever seen. Their scenes and props are incredible- everything is real- tractors, old mine cars, an airplane, windmills, grain silos- everything antique and so cool! The overall setting is so creepy and the actors are amazing! Absolutely terrifying and superb! I screamed, jumped, and laughed until i cried! So much fun! I can’t say enough about it! Very friendly staff- ticket booth folks were very nice and helpful! We tried the mini escape room that was a fun edition to the site! It’s well worth the money! Such a great experience! I dont really scare easily but the claustrophobic nature of some of the environments was definitely unsettling. As for the people complaining about the marijuana smell, you do realize you live in Colorado right?! Im not a marijuana smoker, I dont like it, if it were up to me it would not be legal but there is no point complaining about it. There was, just like any public places you venture to these days in Denver, a strong smell in the parking lot from people in their cars but I didnt notice any in the event area itself. Sounds like the management team gets rid of that pretty quickly.

We didn’t see any other groups with us and a bit pricey BUT let me just say the whole thing was about 30 mins . I left with heart almost coming out off my chest and it was totally worth it.

If I could it would be none. For paying as much as we did it was not worth it! The fast pass line was so slow. Not worth the extra money. Most haunted houses have people walking around for our entertainment and to take photos. Not one person was doing that. You also need to step the game up when it comes to scaring people and making sure the group in front of the next is a bit longer. We were with them the whole time and that made it even worse. We know what was coming and when. That was my 1st and last time going to this one. I guess I will just have to pay to get in another one to get my haunted house fix!
