Man what can I say? Beautiful bartenders, beautiful bottle women and drinks on point. As a person from jersey this is your go to for strong drinks with some good music. I havent tried the food but I had no need to...drinks and the atmosphere kept me occupied and goin..Cant give it 5 stars though...guy waiter came at me funny...

My husband and i stopped in here last night looking for a place with good music. There was one other couple that walked in just before us and quickly realized that we were the only guests in the place. We each ordered drinks but the bartender was too busy smoking her hookah to pay any attention to the fact that there was no toilet paper in the bathroom to use but spread all over the floor. We stayed about ten minutes and quickly left right after the only other people that were there left. With the location and want for good music this place could be awesome! Its too bad, we couldve easily stayed there all night if we had had better service and felt more welcome.

Worst place ever !! Run far away. This place has mold in their cups, I saw the staff not properly sanitizing their cups. The food is undercook and the owners are very rude.

Went last night with a guy friend, and the guy collecting money said it was $40/person. I’m a girl. I’m not saying girls shouldn’t have to pay cover charges, but $40 for a girl on a Thursday night is steep. I was going for my friend’s birthday and she said it was only $20 for guys. She goes there a lot, too so I know she knows what she’s talking about. I think the guy collecting money was trying to make a little more from us since we don’t look like we frequent the place often. We’re asian, and I just got off work to come celebrate my friend’s birthday so I wasn’t dressed up either. We finally got in paying $20 after he kept negotiating price with us. SKETCH. Like I said, my friend said it was only $20 for guys so that’s all we had on us. If I’m negotiating a price with you, it seems like there’s no standard and you’re playing us. Just putting this out there for other people so they don’t get played.

Been here several times and I really can’t complain. The club space is little but hey it’s still great to come to. You don’t want to miss out on this gem!

This bar was great, until it wasnt. It is not a safe place for women or the LGBTQ community due to the overly aggressive staff that they have. The line for the womens bathroom was extremely long, per usual. The mens bathroom was completely empty. Someone whose gender identity can be perceived as female proceeded to go into the mens bathroom, while someone else ensured that no one else would enter. A bouncer aggressively told the person that they couldnt do that. I asked the bouncer to not force gender norms on people and told him that he cant tell people how to identify. He then put his hands in my face, almost touching it if I didnt move. I then proceeded to tell him that he was being extremely disrespectful, which he was. I pointed out that he is a security guard that is way bigger than me, but he still needs to know that what he said and did wasnt respectful, at all. Out of nowhere, a bouncer 2x bigger than me picked me up from behind, without any warning. I am pretty tiny, so he was able to do this with ease. Given the circumstance, I tried to get the man off of me. I didnt know who he was, he didnt announce himself or give a reason for why he touched me. I didnt even know he was a bouncer until afterwards. During this altercation a female bouncer also grabbed me and started putting her hands on me. Once they pushed me out of the bar, a bouncer in a red shirt who was 3x bigger than me pushed me. I pushed him back and he choked me and said, dont make me kill you out here. No one on staff did anything at this point. The only person who protected me during this time, was a black woman who was just standing outside. The staff then proceeded to tell the police that I was drunk, which I wasnt. Not even close to it. I later spoke to the owner, who took no fault and just blamed this on the contracted security company. The manager was apologetic and nice about it. Several people have told me that I can press charges and sue the security company and bar and I am still highly considering it. The people who assaulted me suffered no real consequences. From one night only, this place demonstrated oppression, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia and violence towards women.

I Must Say ... Being From Out Of Town. This Is A Very Nice Club Scene! Bartender JOHN Was Amazing. He’s Very Good At What He Does. It’s Another Thing To Just Serve Drinks But He Was Outstanding & Made Sure My Hookah Was Still Running And Is Very Quick To Take Care Of His Customers. Great Drinks & Amazing Service!

We paid $300 for a VIP and the waitress gave us nothing but attitude! Then added a $3 tip to extra drinks we ordered. We forgot our food at the table and would have to pay $10 extra to go back in and get the wings. It was definitely not worth the VIP price. The hookah wasn’t even worth it and then we had to pay more for the extra coal. The waitress dropped the coals on the floor for over 5 minutes! And then asked for a tip when we left. How you automatically put a tip on extra drinks ordered??? I will not come back to this place! The only good thing was the DJ! And the dj was meteor at best.

I went to this place a couple weeks ago, and the bartender there she looked Ethiopian mixed with Spanish or something. Name was Gina or shina couldn’t hear with the music..She was really nice she came from behind the bar and sat with me and even let me try her hookah before I purchased my own. The music is great, I wish they had the food that was on the menu. But the bartender recommended the shrimp basket which was really good. She also did a great job making my drinks...wasn’t a rushed drink she even tasted it too make sure it was right. These are small details I love about an establishment that makes me wanna come back. That bartender really made my time there. Well deserved 30$ tip..Great customer service!

I planned an outing here on a friday night. Tonight. The website says they open at 6pm and close at 2am. Its 1055pm and I al looking at an obviously closed business. I go to open the door to make sure and its locked.

The bouncers were really cool, the DJ mostly played trap music but it was good, the place is extremely small but it packed with a lot of people. I just didnt like having to pay $20 when the club was closing in an hour.

First mistake I made was to assume my brother and I would receive just a little bit of common decency when visiting an establishment. Walked in to an empty bar after 5:30 pm, and had to wait 10-15 minutes (ignored)before a person with mediocre at best customer service skills decided to do her job. Staff treated us like we didn’t exist or didn’t meet their standards to patronize this establisment.The only positive redeemable experience from my one and only visit was I had the good sense enough to close the tab and leave after purchasing one drink. If no stars was an option, that would be a more worthy rating to match our experience.

Hookah its perfect and the staff is wonderful Im going to be there every Thursday

Im from Cali so Ive been to alot of hookah places .Definitely would not go Here ever again . Wasnt even busy , I orderd a hookah and 1 drink that took 15 minute while the waitress was sitting across from us chilling , not only did it take a long time but the taste was horrible , & the hookahs are small .She welcomed herself to a well over 5.tipShe did zero effort. Wasnt even polite. Next time Im going to try another place . Nice music though .

Highly recomned this spot. Very fun and intimate club and lounge. The service at the bar was on point and their hookahs are authentic and unbeatable. Good vibes and the dj played all the right music.

Im from Chicago and went to Virginia for business purpose. When i first arrived i was told that RY is the SPOT. They were right!!! Best place in Virginia Beach, the staff is great, the hookah is by FAR the best on the ocean front and the waitresses are very nice. Would recommend it to anyone visiting Virginia Beach.

I went here to celebrate my birthday last night!! I must say the playlist was love I really enjoyed it. The drink called fireworks that I had was amazing they served it with sparklers I loved it. They made me feel special! However I got another drink that wasnt all that great. More juice than alcohol. Over all I had a amazing time. I would love to come back again.

Very classy place opens up I believe after 10pm Saturday night I went a few weeks ago with my husband. Hookah bar and lounge servers and very nice and beautiful as well. Staff looks and good as the place does lol. I will definitely go back music played when I was there was more Hip-hop and R&B nice chill spot.

Cool environment for a party crowd. The bouncer took all of the bar stools around 11:30pm, so unless you purchased a booth or sat outside in the back you had to stand up. The back area is not enclosed and it was windy, but you could smoke back there. Expensive drinks, shots were $10 and a mixed drink was $18.

Arrived at the bar about 8 or 9 pm. I ordered a hookah and a lot of drinks. Never moved from my spot except to use the restroom. We were tipping the waitress more than enough well over 40 percent. Well as the night goes on we are approached by some dude (looking like he was at the club to party not for business), who claims that he is the manager. He tells us that we have to move from VIP seating because someone is coming in and buying bottles. Now normally I would not have a problem doing so, even though I had already bought at least 2 bottles myself, but it was almost midnight and there were tables that were occupied by people who were not drinking or smoking hookah. I asked to speak with the Person in charge since I was told that, that was the person who sent the manager to my table. The manager would never get the head boss on the shift and had security escort us out of the club/bar. I was having a great time until this happened. The manger also kept saying you did not pay to sit here. In all my time of hitting night clubs if the VIP section is not occupied or paid for in a certain amount of time, they allow people to be seated without having to move. I think that people should not be allowed to sit in VIP or told that the seating is open if they are going to be removed after spending money, time and buying a hookah. Oh and not to mention when I asked what we were suppose to do with the hookah since there were no more seats left not even at the bar. We were told to hold it until something became open. The manager was rude and I will never be seen I this bar again.

Had a hard the entrance to the parking. Once we found it there was a big car blocking the entrance. Did not even feel like going in.

Hookah is not that great. Drinks ok depending on bartender. Security EXTREMELY RUDE. They remove bar stools after a certain time. They’ll sit u at a table with ur hookah anytime before 11. Let you spend your money on drinks, food, hookah and etc but will NEVER suggest buying a table or paying for a VIP section. They will just come to u and kick you off the table at 11 very rude. We didn’t know what was going on. When they told us to move we asked the rude security guy where and his reply was “i don’t know where u gonna move but u gotta move”. That’s not how you talk nor treat paying customers. After spending at least 300 on drinks and etc at that. They “say” VIP is 300 however, when we questioned the table they said 550! For 550 at that place, it’s definitely not worth it. The music was good. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone because they could use training in customer service! Maybe you will have better luck .

Corny.... No where to sit!! The security is rude and they show favoritism towards regulars. The bouncer told me and my sister no reentry but there was plenty of people walking in and out. Not to mention the 20$ cover charge! The place isnt even that damn big. The only thing I can say is that the DJ played some good songs but if your from out of town dont expect anything fancy or songs youre familiar with. This place is for locals and the staff is very pushy.

I love this spot I usually come to Virginia Beach twice if not three times a year in the summer and this is always one of my stops, I love the music, hookah and drinks. Great music and inexpensive drinks and hookahs staff is A-1

Cool place, chill vibes, awesome lights and music

Drinks are fairly expensive BUT good so that depends on your preference. Its VERY often randomly closed so always call before you plan on going. Ive even called ahead of time drove the 35 minutes to get there and it be closed. Nonetheless its always fun when its open.

Ry Lounge at the Oceanfront makes the best hookahs, probably the best in the East Coast. Ive been coming here since they opened and the place is always improving, from the menu to the atmosphere. Its well decorated and I enjoy the service that Ry provides.The events are worth going to and the music is great, they have a variety of DJs that come in.If you ever find yourself in the Va. Beach area make sure to stop by and have a nice hookah or even grab a bite to eat.

Straight up got robbed at this place.....walked in and spent $100 in a matter of seconds. Only stayed because there was a table open. Sat for 20 mins then they sold our section. I felt so insulted and wet...got greased up real good. Very urban place too...you get pat down real good. Dont come here if you are from out of town!!!!!!

Not really a hookah spot. Music was great but it was brought down by the depressed looking bartenders. The girls looked so sad to be there and had no energy at all! Drinks were more of the mixer than anything. As for the hookah, they didnt know how to switch up the coal so the hookah itself did not last as long as it should. They do take the chairs away from the bar around 11. So even if you come early to have a seat at the bar, the stools are taken away (like taking the stools are really going to make more space in there anyway). They dont need to advertise as a hookah spot though.

Went there on Saturday night, music is good, hookah was good, friendly bartenders, i would recommend you to get there before 11 so you don’t have to pay cover.

Came from out of town to visit the area on a Monday night for my birthday. Being that it was a Monday night it was a slow night but still had a great timewith my group of friends. Music, drinks, hookah and most of all service were great. Bartender and hookah guy were very tentive and sweet, would definitely return again!

Met a friend for dinner on a recent trip to VA Beach who recommended we eat/hang out here. Arrived about 15 mins early and realized they had hookahs. I was definitely taken care by the fun owner and staff. The bartender was super cool and creative and had awesome food recommendations. My order as well as a few orders I observed for others at the bar were all well prepared, had great presentation and were quite tasty. It was Thursday and after 9, it started getting really busy girls and guys. SOOO I came back Friday night and the party was insane, people where dressed well, got a VIP table with a group of friends and danced (There is a bunch of fresh VIP sections and a chill bar). This is not what I expected to find going out in VA Beach....Really cool...I recommend asking for their surprise hookah mix flavor.

I love the Ry. Definitely my favorite place to go !! Id recommend it to anyone any day.
