I ordered their buffalo wings and was pleasantly surprised! For bar food the sauce that they make in house is really flavorful where you can taste what your eating before you get just the right amount heat that goes away just in time for your next bite.The staff are super friendly and the entertainment is simply amazing. Without a doubt this is the best gentlemens club in Virginia. The security is the most professional Ive ever seen in a club. My wife and I never had to worry about anything at any time,from getting a$100 changed to me leaving my wife at the table alone while I went outside to smoke a cigarette.The ladies are all beautiful,sexy,friendly and flirty as they should be. The bartenders/waitresses are very quick to server your drinks and good at not letting you go thirsty.All of Mermaids staff treated us like a regular and made us feel comfortable during every visit.We tried some other gentlemens clubs and always gravitated back to Mermaids because they had the best of everything.

I went to mermaids a couple days ago with some friends and the establishment was very clean and fun. The atmosphere was the best Ive felt in virginia beach in a long time. my drinks tasted great and the waitresses ky and amber were quick to serve us. The music was awesome and we had a blast! Quality over quantity! Smaller club with the sexiest girls in Virginia Beach! Always very friendly, and the bouncers have your back instead having it out for you. DJ takes requests, and there is a smoking area separate from the main stage.

Well the girls were cute but looked like they would rather be any place but there, which is about how I was feeling shortly after sitting down. One girl actually looked like she was trying to take a nap on the stage. Then I made the mistake of ordering lunch, the cheeseburger I ordered was horrible, the patty was basically round like a ball and for some reason had like half a head of lettuce on top and the frys looked like they were swept off the floor. Even the Pepsi was bad like it was mixed with orange soda. Needless to say none of it was worth eating and I damn sure didnt want to waste anymore time or money so I left everything on the table and got a ham sandwich from wawa.... Dont waste your time or money at this establishment.

I went 10/8/20 only stayed for 20 min 2 different bouncers pressuring me to sit at the stage and spend money wen I was standing by the bar.Since wen do they tell u where and wen to sit in a Strip club? They told me to sit in an area that I didnt like. I felt very Uncomfortable and didnt hav a gud time at all, I didnt even finish my drink I was so Disgusted and I didnt I will Not be returning

Everything about this place is a 5 out 5. Everyone from the owner to security is chill and accommodating. The dancers are beautiful, lighthearted, and alluring and the waitress was on top of her game all night. Couldnt have asked for a better bachelor party, Im sure my friends will be back. LOL

Wide selection of enticing dancers, great staff from Management, bartenders, and security. All staff was inviting also very friendly. Great drinks prices were great and food hit the spot as well. Great local venue that has an upscale atmosphere. Best time me and my buddies had out so far in the Va Beach area.

The girls here are super friendly and gorgeous! Its a very warm and inviting atmosphere. The DJ is always killing it with the tunes. The bar staff, security, and dancers all get along really well and it shows, it feels like a big family just having a party!

They OVER SOLD seating at an event I went to 9/17, wouldnt refund my money, I paid for VIP seating but general admission ticket holders had stage seats and management refused to move them even though i paid 2X the amount they paid, didnt receive my food until 1 1/2 hrs after I ordered (A simple Quesadilla and had to hunt them down just to get it) and still got the wrong food, Little parking lot and little to no staff. HATE THIS PLACE AND WILL NEVER RETURN NOR RECOMMEND ANYONE GOES.

I love going to Mermaids! It looks like some of the reviewers on here are a little salty about some local laws though. So let me clarify, in Virginia it is illegal to dance nude in bars, and you can not touch the girls. Dont let this deter you though! The girls put so much effort into their incredibly sexy and barely there outfits. These are your fantasy girls that will leave you wanting more. They rely on their looks and amazing talent on the pole to entice and entertain you. They are also very nice, and usually dont mind conversing with you once they are off of the pole. The bartenders are attentive and drop dead gorgeous. The security is awesome and they are there to protect you and the girls. And the DJ is always killing it! Dont hesitate to come here for a good time that you likely wont forget.

Mermaids is absolutely my favorite place to go for an awesome night out. The staff is always friendly and the girls are true entertainers. Not only are they great dancers they are packed with personality and charisma.

There are two main reasons why I love this club so so much.Number one is the feeling while in the club...whether ate the VIP or not;its just warm and it imbues some comfy.This makes one really get loose and dive into that moment of fun; and of course thats what clubbing is about,right? The other thing is the attention that the employee give the customers.Anything to do with an order or commotion is attended to instantly,making the customer very safe and comfortable.Forget about those clubs that tell you about VIP yet there isnt really anything special.My evening at the Mermaids Gentlemens Club VIP provided me with the real meaning and feeling of VIP.The lightning alone plus the seats are so definitive.Drinks?Ha Ha,orders whatever you want and it will be served in a very special way by properly groomed waiters and waitresses.sit back,relax,let loose,and have real fun.I love their women...Literally

I spent about two hours at this club on a weekday. Most of the girls were good looking but theres a lack of diversity because theyre mostly black. The customers are also mostly black. There was broken glass and a spill near my chair, and no one was in a rush to clean it.This ISNT A STRIP CLUB because all of the girls dance in bikinis and no one goes topless. I understand that Virginia doesnt have nude clubs, but this venue is disappointing. None of the girls came over to me to ask for lap dances. How do these girls make money besides the stage tips? Im not sure. I left the club with plenty of cash still in my pocket.

The talent here is pretty good, but if you decide to hand your stage dancer a dollar by hand, expect to be told that “touching the dancers is not allowed, but she’s ok with it....’cause she’s cool” by the bouncer. Then expect to see no topless dancing at all (I guess that just a location thing), followed by more typical disappointing drink pricing, topped off by a aesthetically unpleasing establishment, that’s parked right next to a storage facility.The club is small as well, and the men’s bathroom is cramped, with no separation at all between the urinals and toilet. If you had to take a $h!t in this bathroom, your knee would be touching the guy standing at the furthest urinal, as there is no stall around the toilet. No bathroom attendant obviously.2 stars at best, at least security was polite about trying to restrict my very not offensive actions at this club.I will not be returning on my next trip to VA Beach. Here’s to hoping Mynx is a bit better.

Like they said on their website, their dancers truly took my breath away. What a magnificent place to hangout. The level of pole dancing in this club is out of this world for sure , and theyve selected women whore blessed body-wise and whore passionate about what they do. The waiter also understand what etiquette is. I cant even properly comment about the food that we are since its nothing you find out there; its the in thing....yummy.

Such a great place to come and have a good time ! The entire staff is friendly and welcoming. The girls are beautiful and super talented ! The wings are to die for , really anything is great (the chef is amazing) ! What to say about Mermaids..... Was visiting Virginia Beach from Vegas and I wasnt sure what to expect. Born and raised in Vegas, its a tough place to beat but happy to say that Mermaids lived up to some high expectations. The atmosphere was sexy, plush, inviting, and the dancers were top notch. They all have their own personal style and are SEXY, not trashy, which some clubs dont see to know the difference. I had an amazing time; it had the feel of an upscale place with very decent pricing.

Came in on Tuesday for a brief couple drinks with an old friend. Was immediately greeted by the bartenders and the young man even walked our drinks to the table for us. The dancers were absolutely wonderful and a pleasure to be around. I will most deffinetely be back!

I tried to call Minx all week to set up a Bachelorette party. They never answered the phone, day or night, and when I sent them a facebook message they apologized for the delay and promised to get right back to me..... still havent heard from them. I decided to reach out to Mermaids kind of last minute to see if they had any deals, and club owner James was amazing. He created a custom package to suit our needs and was very accommodating. We arrived to the club and were immediately greeted and treated like VIP guests. The girls were BEAUTIFUL and I was pleased to see that they were true entertainers and not just girls gyrating on the floor. The DJ made sure to ask us several times if we had any special requests and congratulated the Bride several times. Even security was top-notch. They were very polite, and if someone did something wrong they were not aggressive or condescending, very friendly demeanor. The girls were so nice and I truly feel that every person in that building went out of their way to make our night special. The ONLY downside to the evening was one of the girls mentioned that another girl did not share the tips with her, and several stacks of rubberbanded ones I had went missing. To be completely honest, I could have lost them in my drunken state, I could have given them to friends in my group and forgot, another patron could have wound up with them.. Im not really sure, but its never happened before and made me a little uneasy. I mentioned it to a security guy and he continued his polite demeanor-never outraged or offended, just genuinely concerned in making sure we had a great time. Thank you everyone!!!

I had a good night here. The girls were nice and attractive. Atmosphere and Decor was good. My favorite part was talking with bartender and getting a dance for her even. Only one or two girls were a little pushy about trying to get a dance but if you said no they just walked away. I do like that they dont allow alcohol on the VIP side, you get fewer drunk idiots.

You know that a club is properly organized when they keep on updating their website and telling the public what events are coming. I popped in on a wicked Wednesday and found myself going to the same club the next day. They offer the best service you can find in Virginia Beach and their improvement is evident every time you check in. With all sincerity, though, its the girls that got me hooked; they wrapped it all up for me.

The girls there were disgusting and clearly on drugs. It was dirty, the food was mediocre and overpriced, dont spend your money here since there are clearly other clubs. Everyone acts like a druggie lol

I cant get enough of Mermaids!! As a longtime customers, I know the waiters by name and enjoy being able to walk in and be greeted personally-- especially by the dancers. I like that they each really do have their own unique style and personalities and it comes off in their dancing, but they all seem really cohesive together. its one of the things I love that just doesnt change.

Once youve been to Mermaids in Virginia Beach, you wont want to go anywhere else. Everything about this place gives you a great 5-star experience. The lighting, ambiance, dancers, food and drinks are all always on point, not to mention the fast and attentive service. I swear I could come here for the chicken alone. But the music is always good, and they play all major games on their flat screen TVs. What else more could you want?

The performers were excellent here. And I saw the drink offers for Wednesday night on its website were $2. I genuinely enjoyed myself. I just wish I didnt get crapped out of the alcohol specials; I might have definitely remained much more time!!

The owner was of the chilest owners I have ever met in my entire life. Even though they dont give private lap dances all the dancers and bartenders were amazing and beautiful. Even though we showed up an hour before closing the place was amazing, I recommend that everyone visit this bar act least once well worth the experience

Mermaids Gentleman,s club has some cuisines that would make one come back again and again. I was there the first time with a buddy and for sure, we got really good food and was also entertained with music and pole dancing. I find myself going back there very often since theyve activities each and every day of the week. Its turned out to be my favorite club in Virginia Beach.

Next time I know I have to go the VIP way. I kinda gate crashed my buddys VIP party and love it so so very much. VIP makes you feel truly special. The service is just heavenly and they give a lot of niceties to their VIP guests. I thought that the price would shoot through the ceiling, but its all affordable. I cant sign off without mentioning their hotties; they got my eyes red, you guy. I just love it all.

There isnt a single day Ive gone to the club and left disappointed, never. Theres always something special for every night. They have a DJ who knows what hes paid for; he carrier everyone away with his fitting selections that inspire a very wonderful clubbing experience. My #1 Club.

Excellent service and great drink specials for happy hours in Virginia Beach! The girls were very acrobatic...very entertaining. We had a VIP Party for Bachelorette and Bachelor...lol! So the soon to be bride and Groom where there and Mermaids staff did a great job accommodating this weird request. Very friendly and flexible...thank you guys and girls. The layout of the spot was nice. Drinks are absolutely watered down. Ordered a rum and coke but they still added water or had the soda syrup down to minimum and full of ice. The women there were pretty and some could dance but definitely heavily relied on the MC being the hype man to keep the crowd pumped which he did. Security did their job well. The waitress was very attentive and knew her job. I didnt review the parking lot cause its not too much they can do on that but it small so dont be shocked if you cant find a spot. Ill give them a 3 but only cause I cant give them 2.5

First Impression: HorribleThis venue racially profiles on Tuesday NightI showed up looking to have a good time no matter the crowd; white, black, yellow-who cares and I was charged an illegal $20 cover for being white- I walked in as the only white veteran in the club was charged the cover although the African Americans in line in front me were charged nothing-I didnt realize it until I walked out of the club 5 min later and I asked about if I could receive a cover reimbursement, the white manager said you were charged what??The African American security guard who solicited $20 from me was asked by manager to return - he only gave me $10 which I didnt dispute. This place has shady business practices by its employees. The security guard who had no authority to charge the one white veteran willing to pay should be fired and any disabled veteran who is considering going to this establishment should venture elsewhere - Im embarrassed and ashamed by this place and their profiling. I had just arrived in Virginia beach for a research project with some of my friends. We didnt know where to spend the evening since we had some two days before the project started. Luckily, one of our guides had known about Mermaids Gentlemans Club and we decided to give it a try. End result? None of us wanted to leave the club with all those beautiful women doing their thing. I cant forget to mention their dinner specials that made me eat like I would never eat again. Highly recommended!!!

Im a gentleman and I feel like that title shouldnt escape me.It gives me some kind of entitlement going to Mermaids Gentlemens Club. Its one of those places that are very addictive, and its coz of their music, the decor,the food and several other features that just spice it all up for you. The funny part is that its one of my aunts who me about the club and I decided to try it out. What a loving aunt she is!

PROS-This is a very clean place cool lighting and comfy seat and the dancers are over all attractive and skilled and most importantly friendly prices are decentCONS- do not waste your money on a VIP area this is a small club and the VIP areas are very tiny we and got one for a birthday party and when we arrived there were already people sitting in the cage dancing area that we had requested and paid for so we had to sit in the other VIP we then then got our bottle service and they wanted to pour shots and make drinks right away and kept coming back over telling us to finish the bottle and at one point just poured the rest into shot glasses and took the bottle from us......then we were there for a few hours and only had about 3-5 dancers come to the VIP we kept having to go sit at the main stage to see the dancers(so what as the point of a private areas?!).as for tipping the girls when they lift up there pantie strap or shake it at you to put money in DONT ITS A TRAP the bouncer will spend the whole night babysitting you telling to put the money next to them or to hand it directly to them i know in VA you cant touch so i guess that means to even tip.soooo one by one people from our party dropped off and when we finally through in the towel i talked to the manager that was there jason told him what a snooze fest it was and that we didnt even get the bottle of champagne we were promised and paid for he didnt believe me and when i showed him the text from his party jimmy that we were suppose to all i got was a ooops my bad.over all decent club but i wouldnt go out of my way to go there and i would defiantly for go the VIP because you will not be treated like a VIP just any other customer but you will be paying alot more money !!!!!

Get me that WICKED Wednesday again for my lungs; thats da illest and da hottest Wednesday of my entire clubbing career. I got myself some real food and some Bacardi shots and my whole evening was merry merry. I loved the experience and will make sure that the next time Im in Virginia Beach, Ill drop at the club for more shots.

Im not sure if Mermaids is a Gogo Bar in Virginia beach, a strip club or gentlemens club...honestly I dont know the difference. All can say is that my husband and I had had a great time with our friends and the service was great!!!

I came for the 2013 Pole and Floor show to see Miss Bambii, Ivory, Sin, and Micah. and had a BLAST! DJ was kickin, music was on point, girls are so diverse and sexy. Got your edgy, kinky, punk, and country girls, rockers, cutsie, all kinds of girls, and theyre so talented. Nice-sized 2 Pole stage, small elevated cage beside the bar (HOTTT bartenders and waitresses!!!) and a full sized cage + swing with a private circular lounge behind it for a little TLC. awesome place, kickass bar and management and amazingly talented ladies!
