I use to visit this place when I was a kid. Still holds up strong 30 yrs later. The burgers at Waldos pub are excellent and the fries are mmm good.

Very nice and cozy. The beach view from the room is just amazing. You can hear the ocean 24/7. Service is very professional. Very close to everything we like to do on the beach from eating, beach walking, shopping, ice cream and so much more. Great price for everything you have in the area. Not updated but that is the thing I love the most about our stays here.

I loved the tile floors in our 1 bedroom suite. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathrooms were spotless. The two things I disliked were wearing a plastic bracelet when at the pool or beach and two of the three beach access points were closed for crowd control. We had an absolutely amazing weekend as this amazing resort with an absolute beautiful concept! Our room was amazing, the staff were polite, check-in and parking were easy and we had direct BEACH ACCESS! Right on the strip, with walking distance to everything. It gets no better than that! Plus, on-site restaurant Waldo’s has great food and drinks NEAR THE POOL AND BEACH! Family friendly so I definitely recommend for a couples getaway or to bring the whole family!

Excellent rooms, great view, hearing the ocean roar is very relaxing! Food downstairs at the Waldo Restaurant is delicious, and the workers are so kind and friendly! Staying here for 5 days, and so far am incredibly impressed! Its only the first night but even with the beach having been closed off and the storm going on, still a great experience. Can only imagine what itd be like if the beach was open and the sun was shining!

This resort is unique and historic. Our room # 304 was a queen studio and our outdoor seating area was quite private with a view of the ocean. It was cute although a little dated. It is rustic but with amenities, pool, beach and restaurant. The weather was not pleasant when we were there so we couldnt enjoy the outdoors like we had hoped. Went to the bar area of the restaurant in the evening but it was packed so we did not stay. If in the area again and if the weather was nice Id like to stay again to wonder around and then just sit back, relax and enjoy.

Love this place. It’s so interesting, so historic. Waldo restaurant is casual and fun. We keep coming back, the tables next to the ocean are super nice, I love the breeze and the views obviously! The travelers shrimp dish is delicious, specially the shrimp stuffed with cheese! Malibu confusion martini was great!Saturday they were having live music and it was fun!

I felt like I was back in time... no stress... Nothing but fun and leisure ahead of me. I really had great time. I recommend booking in advance and stay in one of the water front cabin.

Really enjoyed our week at Driftwood resort. The resort is beautiful, it is very unique. All the people working there were very pleasant and helpful. I had left my crock pot in the room when we checked out. The lady in the office called before we got home, and they mailed the the pot to me. I got it in the mail 2 days later.

Best place in Vero Beach, Historic Waldos is right on property. My family has been vacationing here since the 80s. The 2 pools are great and cleaned frequently. The front desk staff is always ready to help and they have wonderful activities when you are staying for a time share week.

It’s Sister property The Driftwood provides rooms for a relaxing stay.The menu has a nice variation of choices from snacks to lunch and dinner with reasonable prices.They usually have entertainment a few nights a week and Lee and Joe are always doing something to help out the community - be it a fundraiser, place to hold an event, or family reunion. This place is a “must do“ for new people coming to town.It does get busy at times and the service is always decent the food is always great and the friendliness is always off the hook. Will definitely enjoy this place. For yourself or for your whole family.

Classic, classy local sleep on the ocean. Best bar in Vero Beach. Sorry everyone else, who close at 9....busy and pleasant rough, belly up bar style with efficient and happy tenders. They love their job and we love Waldos!! Collect those plastic cups, they last a lifetime.

Liked the size of the r, but it was a little dated of course. Quiet thankfully. Nice set up.

This has been our family spring break place for over 40 years. Eclectic, unique, great location, close to shops and restaurants, and right on the stunning Vero Beach.Please note that I am a FAA Licensed UAS Pilot, aerial shots were below 40 m.

How fun! We didnt have dinner here but we very well might the next time we go to Vero Beach because it looks like a really fun place. We did shop in the little store and we were pleased at all the different and unique things there were here. This is on the water so its really an excellent place to visit if you are in Vero Beach weather for dinner or just as youre walking around and enjoying being outside on the ocean.

Super friendly service so much so...made a reservation for later this year...great get away and restaurant is wonderful.

We love coming here. Weve been twice with our kids. Some updating in the rooms would be nice, but its still a great affordable place for families to vacation.

Great location and history with live music by the pool and beach access. Food could be better and its a tad pricey, but like I said the ambiance might trump all that!! Make sure your ready to spend the whole day its a ton of fun!!

What a great place for a vacation.The Driftwood pretty much has it all, beginning with its perfect location, on the beach at Vero Beach, all the way down to both pools and the very nice bar/restaurant. Its a big place, with multiple buildings, offering studio units, one-bedroom places and even some two-bedroom units, along with small, individual cottages.Though we only saw the one-bedroom unit in which we stayed, we were pleased with it. Small, but nice. The kitchenette is probably the tiniest Ive seen with a sink, dishwasher, oven and microwave. But, youre on vacation! Youre not supposed to be cooking, right? The living room furniture was sturdy though not particularly comfortable. We didnt unfold the sleeper sofa I dont know if its as cozy as every other sleeper sofa in the world. It might be the exception. It could happen. The mattress in the bedroom however was excellent as were the pillows. The bathrooms (two of them) were of a decent size and functional, so two thumbs-up there.Its called the Historic Driftwood for a reason though. Its historic. As in old and it shows signs of its age. Renovation is most likely an on-going operation due to the harsh environment of the dang ocean on their doorstep and they do a pretty good job of keeping up with it all. And we also have to keep in mind that its whole claim to fame is the Driftwood aspect of the resort, so its supposed to be a little more rustic than the usual, more sterile places. Not all of the buildings are that old, but many of them are, so be prepared for quaint details, like an actual key for your room instead of the more common card.The bar and restaurant are both excellent and we ate/drank there more than a couple times during our weeklong stay. The drinks at the bar were generous, served with a smile and comparably priced. You cant go wrong there. The menu had a good variety and the quality of the food was excellent! Theres ample outdoor seating reserved for those ordering food thats well shaded on most days, though the umbrellas have to come down when its windy.Oh. And then theres the beach. Like, right there. Complete with sand, seaweed and the Atlantic Freakin Ocean. 24/7, at no extra charge. Is that cool or what?Bottom line: we loved it and cant wait to go back. Go. I Triple Dog Dare you not to like it. (Yes. I pulled the TDD card and Im not sorry.)

Menu had a variety of options and specials were delicious. Our party of six all enjoyed our drinks and dinner choices. Seaside eating was fabulous! Will definitely go back next time we are in Vero.

The Driftwood is a Wonderful place! Four generations of our family have vacationed atthe Driftwood, it is restorative and enjoyable.

This is just what any loving couple needs to keep the fires burning or maybe to rekindle them. We are 200 feet off the beach. The people here are very nice and helpful if you need anything. We had e been coming here for many years.

Great place to go if you just want to relax at the beach. Staff is very friendly. Food in the restaurant is very good. Live bands in the pool area on the weekend. Music stops by 9 or 10 so you can get plenty of rest.Maid service is very good. Plenty of fresh towels, shampoos etc.The beach is beautiful. Nice gentle surf. The kids on the beach were having a great time. And the adults were relaxing.

Was busy, food was good big portions. The help is a bit slow asked for stuff for our order we had to ask a few times and still never received the items and it was even charged on our bill.

Great, rustic relaxing place! Two pools, right on the beach, comfortable condos. Time share and rentals. Restaurants within walking distabce. Convenience store, post office round the corner. City park next door. Easy drive to state parks, other beaches, grocery stores. But theres lots to see and do on the property! Eclectic art abounds! Office, housekeeping and maintenance staff are GREAT too!

Came here on a Friday night. Enjoyed some yummy seafood, and a live band. Satt on the deck right off the water. Great time, definitely lived up to the hype.

We came to have dinner and watch the moon rise over the ocean. They had already closed off the board walk section and had the lights way too bright to enjoy the evening on the patio. The music was blaring, also. We did not stay. We have eaten there during the day and it can be nice, but certainly not this time.

Great place for lunch sitting on the boardwalk overlooking the ocean. Fast friendly service. Jamaican Mahi sandwich with mango salsa was delicious. Burger was cooked just right. Fair pricing.

Older hotel built in interesting style. Rooms need some TLC although it is always crowded with children. If you look for quiet and relaxing - you will not find it here. Over all to recommend. Great restaurant on the beach side.

Horrible the key opens every motel room its dirty the service is slow and I have never had such rude employees what a horrible experience and establishment plus they let their cats go in the motel rooms and thats just discusting and they didnt even have soap. And they charged for every Towel you would be better off not going their and going to the Kimpton hotel down the s or staying at holiday inn

Rustic style... Didnt stay at the resort since we own a townhouse just up the street. We end up at the resort restaurant for great food with a great view and occasionally a live band

Great place for lunch, my wife and I drove up from Port St. Lucie just for lunch. You can sit on the deck next to the pool and have a great view of the ocean. The service is top notch and the food matches the view and service. A few years ago we went on second honeymoon and stayed a few nights in the resort. This is historic place with lots of nautical things to see. We both really enjoyed our stay and both agree that this is one of our favorite local spots.
