The hilly East crs layout is interesting & challenging. It is not easy to maintain a hilly course & there are a few areas in the fairways that are almost bare but overall the course condition is good. Today the East crs greens were recovering from being aerated & sanded.

This is a really an OK track for the value! I have played the East and West courses. The East course, played today, was more challenging with moderate elevation gain. It would have been nice if my cart didn’t run out of battery on the 16th hole, which is 415 yards up hill, in 100 degree heat! Either way, expect lots of bermuda grass and hard wet sand bunkers with small rocks in them. The greens are well kept and roll true, there seems to be some integrity with the maintenance which is nice to see in a muni course. 4 stars if my cart didn’t die!

Really nice 36 hole facility. Bunkers were in bad shape and breed fans but the rest of the course is in good condition. Challenging courses require accuracy to score well. Beautifully set in the Vallejo hills

Terrible greens. There was no notification on the Blue Rock Golf Course website about their greens being recently plugged and sanded. Otherwise the East Course has a nice layout and the fairways were in good shape for October. The Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Good course, fun to play, hilly on the east course, but still walkable. Tee boxes have some tall grass, but otherwise everything seems well maintained. The bunkers are firm, and need addressing though. Cafe was really good, had the Justin Timberlake (Patty melt on rye with thousand island).

This is a pretty popular course. The green fees were relatively inexpensive. They were running pretty far behind (about 40 minutes) which was a bummer, but during covid its hard to control that. The course was well kept and the staff was great.

Been Waiting to play this course for a while. Was worth the wait. Played the west course, greens were great. The guy in the club house very helpful. Played with 3 guysvi didnt know they were great. Bring my golf buddies next weekend

Unfortunately the greens were being plugged. Normally not so bad. But the sand was not removed and it was like putting in a sand trap. Also, I was not informed that the greens were being worked on. Unacceptable.

This course is about average for the area. What is well below average is the attitude of a few of the staff who work there. There are a couple, in particular one person in the pro-shop, who exhibits an attitude that it is his course and you are fortunate that he has chosen to allow you to check-in. This is not a one time concern and is not an issue that is shared solely by myself. This employee has had many confrontations regarding his attitude over the years with many different golfers.Other issues include the ridiculous cart path only status of hole #7 on the East Course. This hole definitely has slopes, but also a clearly defined flat area that stretches the length of the hole. Most courses would just place a rope barrier along the slopes to prevent entry but Blue Rock has made this long Par 5 a cart path only for many, many years. Works out great for the huge amount of Seniors who play the course but must trek hundreds of extra yards through uneven surfaces.The parking situation is also less than ideal. I understand limited space, but when the course staff know that by 8AM, 7 days a week, parking is extended to the upper lot you would think a shuttle would be in operation. The shuttle is sporadic at best and rarely during the week.This is just a few issues with this course. There are good things about the courses but like I said the condition of the course is average, the pace of play, which is exacerbated by fivesomes, can be extremely slow and the majority of course workers have no understanding of deference to the golfers while making shots.This is a city owned course and as a citizen of Vallejo I do expect to be treated as a valued customer and to receive at least the minimal amount of etiquette from the staff members.

Everything was very good except that most sand traps were about 1/2 of dirt. No sand at all in most of them.

Over booked ,sand traps need help, bumpy greens areated . Beautiful place views and track. Nice golf carts. Reasonably priced.

Played the west course. Very challenging. Very dramatic elevation changes and a few crazy, blind shots required.

Two sides 18 holes East or West. Greens are in great shape. Prices are up due to covid-19 but its always worth it. Best weather in all of California.. and views of the North Bay..360 all around!

Hmmm, played here long time ago. Was a great experience then but I forgot about this place. This is not an amazing golf course. In fact there are 2 courses. I just played both last Saturday. Yes, both. No I didnt start at 6 am. But minutes after noon. 12 09 tee time.$57. And $25. Staff were so incredibly nice. I was prepared to walk both courses ( had to return cart after first course) however these people busted guts to get everyone a cart as much as possible. I was reminded of the last time I had played here. Not the golf but the staff!!! Yes again why didnt I remember. I digress. Simply get here. Two great courses that are simply for everyone and may put some manners on you if you dont respect them and think theyre below your level. Did I mention the staff. Best ever during this reopening and Ive played a lot of different courses.

Blue Rock has two courses both are beautiful and the courses are in great shape I travel from Sacramento to play and well worth the drive

Rolling hills, good conditions, great range, great value! Super underrated course.

Nice grass driving range that’s open Friday-Sunday. Practice Chipping/Putting green is nice for warming up. I actually left my club on the practice green and Blaine the GM was good enough to hold it for me in the pro shop for the day. I’ll definitely be coming back here.

The guys & I very much enjoyed playing the East course for the 1st time in several years.

The greens are terrible and the GM needs behave a bit more professionally. They need to have water or any drinks for hydration available. The GM was in the golf shop, when I asked for a drink he made no attempt to get me one. It was very hot and the golf course needs to be more responsible towards their guests, especially on hot days like today.

Nice clubhouse and friendly staff. Overall course condition is great! Nice view in many holes. Not a very challenging course but still you will find some fun out from here.

Holly and very windy in the east course. It was an okay course but I wont be rushing back anytime soon.

Speaking of the driving range; it is randomly closed, the turf is torn up, and would not refund bucket when all spaces taken. I will not be returning to this local spot.

Really good layout, and very easy on the eyes. Only gave 3 stars because of the conditions on the greens. I realize it is winter and wet but having some greens real furry, and some that were pretty baron made for a frustrating day. Played here a few times in the summers and the course has always been well worth a 5 star rating

I have been there many times. It’s a well maintained, challenging course (both east and west course). What you need to be aware of is the frequent break-ins in the parking lot. Don’t leave valuables in your car.

Everything is great BUT the sand. The sand is pretty unplayable on the west unless you rake it ahead of time... And they need to get sand on the East. But they know that - right now its like dirt on a baseball infield or wis worse a running track. Harsh criticism but like I said, everything else is great from the course to the cafe!

Great course, fun to play and in pretty good shape! Does get a little boring at times, seems like the only thing I hit is drive, wedge on most holes.

Foggy and cold start to the day but the sun finally came out as we made the turn. We finished the round in under 4 hours, great time with friends while keeping distance!

The golf course is in great shape. The staffs are friendly and very accommodating. And you cant find a better value for your money anywhere.

Home course. The upkeep is fantastic for both courses. Driving range has been the same since I started golf in 97 great place to practice your entire golf game.

Really like the layout of the East course but the bunkers are the worst Ive ever seen theres rocks the size of your hand in them. I think in some parts of the Fairway there are six types of grass growing which make it hard to get a good lie too. Wish it was in better shape!

Played West course. Layout a little quirky and on the short side even from the tips. Nice condition overall though, relatively inexpensive, and 8am tee time played at a decent 3:50 pace.

Great place to golf at offering two completely different 18 hole courses. Good grass all year long they dont let the fairways dry out like some other local course.

So nice to see a well run facility with nice staff. Ill be coming back again for sure.

Me and my family enjoy going there, to spend time with one another while we hit some golf balls. We always have such a good time while were out there just laughing add each other and then, we get a little competitive to see who could drive the ball the farthest.

Great spot for golf. Very scenic, well manicured and greens were smooth. The only thing that bothered me was the course was a little confusing to navigate from hole to hole. They needed a little better system to guide you to the next hole. Other than that, I would definitely play this course again.

I love the rolling hills of blue rock golf course and the driving range is nice. I have neen spending time working on my short game as well.

The greens were hmmm..okay . Could use a little tending... However ,the staff is amazing , and the regulars look out for the rest of guests ... I had lost my keys on the course and one of the regulars found them and turned them into the pro shop, the pro shop then contacted me letting me know they had found my keys the following day. Yaaaaay !!!!

The West course is in really good shape right now a both courses are equally challenging and interesting. $54 to ride at 11:15 on an October Saturday and not too packed.

Love Blue Rock (East especially, although West is great too), but didnt love my score today! Oh, well...

Got a hole in one on a par 7 before being asked to leave.

The staff for the most part are good folks although a few are surly. Lately things are not working. Their mowing equipment is broken, automatic ball despenser has been down for a couple of weeks with no ET of repair, so dont come early. Overall its an ok place.

Really upset by the ineptitude of the staff here. To say that the customer service was lacking would be a compliment. Dave specifically was rude and I would advise anyone looking for a nice way to spend an afternoon to just stay home over going here. Irritated that I cant leave ZERO stars.

Have been playing both of these course for many years. It seems like they have taken extra effort in improving course maintenance. Played it recently and the greens were consistent and in excellent condition. The West course is less hilly and a little bit easier than the East course but you cant go wrong playing either course.

Love the Eastside course here, so spacious and not one house around

Only went to driving range, place is great. Not snobby at all, and love that each time I went it was super lax.

Fun little Muni course

Golf today at Blue Rock West was awful.. I played as a single and there were 2 groups ahead of me that played very slowly and would not let me play through! There was no players ahead of them. That really sucks.

A group of 10 if us have been playing twice s month for at least a year. Today weve waited over an hour past our tee time for carts. Very poor planning around a planned tournament. Someone should be held responsible, at least management should know why we wont be playing here again.

Good public golf course. Two, 18 hole courses. West is more mature landscaping. East has some crazy holes and the wind effects the ball flight alot.
