My familys trip to Vichy Springs was incredible! The staff was so welcoming and helpful. It was so refreshing to feel complete relaxation in the mineral champagne baths. Theres so much beautiful scenery around and inside the resort. The cottage we stayed in was so cozy and comfortable, with the perfect amount of space for my family. During our stay, we also got to go swimming in the pool! Overall, our trip was an amazing and unforgettable experience, and I hope to visit again soon.

The resort has a great country feel. The champagne baths were such a unique experience. You can feel a bit cold if the weather is not too hot but we enjoyed it anyway and warmed up with the jacuzzi afterwards! We also had a nice hike to the waterfall and enjoyed the feeling of being in the wild.

The healing waters were amazing!!! The champagne baths were very interesting... You can feel the fizzy water doing something. It felt weird to be honest. And I loved the hot spring hot tub. Would definitely go back for a hot stone massage. It was very beautiful. Got the 2hr package and it was perfect. Would love to stay at the resort when the weather is warmer.

Some may say it is a little pricey but I think it is worth every penny for a night or two stay since you are really paying for the opportunity to experience the amazing champagne baths after all the day trippers have left. Very unassuming and relaxing place. We got a cabin that was nice and private. Had a small kitchen with some very basic stuff in it. Living room and bedroom were comfortable. The hiking was really nice and so were the views. The Springs are absolutely wonderful. I could spend all day in there. I liked the temperature of the springs but some found it got cold after 30 min or so. So we would jump into hot tub for a few min. The massage and facial were below average. Breakfast was standard / basic stuff and fine. The music at breakfast was almost enough to make me go postal so there was that.

My husband and I went to Vichy Springs for our 20th anniversary. My husband doesn’t like to travel, so I was surprised when he said to book it. It was the best gift to ourselves EVER! When we kicked back in the tubs, it was the first time I was able to completely empty my mind and relax. It was like time and commitments didn’t exist and I could just soak until I was a raisin. There was the champagne tubbing, where the water is effervescent and tickley. There were the mineral baths that were tepid water tubs, and the hot tub. I went from one to the other: bubbles in the sunshine, then the hot tub, then to enhance my skin in the mineral tub. The only drawback was the daytime shooting range shots, but after a while, it became like white noise. Thankfully by sunset all was serene. The room was amazing and cabinesk. Breakfast was full of a variety of fruits, and pastries along with hard boiled and scrambled eggs or yogurt and granolas. Of course, there was tea, coffee and orange juice. I had such a relaxing time that I stayed again a couple months later to work on my master’s thesis. No distractions and the tubs were my rewards every two hours.

The champagne springs are wonderful, yet a little cold for me at 90°. The 104° hot tub is very big and warm after the baths. The environment is beautiful. But....we had 2 thin towels for each of us. Taking one for the baths, then one for a shower afterward left us with 4 sopping wet towels to use if we wanted to go to the baths a second time. So in the am we got 4 more towels at office for this morning baths, then will get more in afternoon. They should have towels by baths to use to dry, and leaving them there....then there would still be dry towels in room.Room. For $316+tax double room creekside, you do not have TV, nor do you have a coffee maker for in morning. The breakfast was delightful with lots of varied fresh fruits! The bathroom tiles are very slippery so we had to use one of the dry bath towels on the floor. We only had a portable electric oil heater for heat. But, if you calculate that a full day bath cost without ar is $75 per person, the rooms can be viewed as costing $150 a night - with no amenities. Thats not bad. Will come back when we get up enough coins, just for the wonderful baths alone!

The surroundings are beautiful. Be prepared, the champagne baths are wonderful and unique, you’re covered in effervescent bubbles but we went in December and the water is not hot. It’s somewhere around 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit so it felt very, very cold. There is a warm hot tub in the middle with filtered mineral water. I imagine the tubs would be a great destination in the summer with warmer weather when other hot springs may be too hot during that time of year. $35 for 2 hours, $65 for the day.

Vichy is one of the most relaxing places I have ever been to. The world famous mineral baths are like nothing you have ever experienced; they are warm and relaxing while remaining clean. The pool is fantastic, not too warm, not too cold, and though there are a few insects floating here and there, thats only because the spring is totally surrounded by nature. There is a hot tub, but it is not for the faint-hearted, as the temperature is cranked up to the max at all times. Sadly, there are no restrooms bear the spa/mineral baths, so one must walk a short distance to relieve ones self. The rooms are clean and well-lit, and if you rent a suite, then expect a full-sized kitchen as well. The breakfast bar may be restricted, but what they do have is divine. The staff is warm and helpful, so you can ask anything you want without fear, even if you are shy like me. All in all, I would recommend Vichy Springs Resort to anyone, regardless of age, as long as you cann afford it. Five stars!:}

Quiet, exhilarating champagne baths. When I visited, it was not very busy and that is good for relaxing. The natural baths are calming and the champagne baths feel incredible. Be careful tho, if it goes in your nose it might have a slight burning sensation, same with the thin skin around eyes. It does not hurt, but I would not sumberge my face for a period of time. Besides the baths, offered are hiking trails, rooms to stay in, cottages and a pool. Edit: After reading my review on this a year after my visit, I wish I could snap my fingers and visit again. If I recall correctly, there are only three places worldwide with natural champagne baths, this being one of them. Should you visit, it is very memorable. As for pricing, I wouldnt afford to go everyday but, it is within reason regarding the available things to do and experience.

This place has true California *natural * rustic *charm. You have a lot of options for enjoying a soak in the sun: there is a large cool swimming pool, small individual mineral baths, and a good size hot tub. My friends and I will often get a day-pass and go back and forth between all of them. The staff is warm and friendly. In fact, on my last trip I got stung by a wasp and I was freaking out a little and the staff sprang into action to help me with ice and antihistamines and it was above and beyond - and the exact sort of behavior you would expect from an establishment that runs on FAMILY vibes. Im already planning my next long weekend here with all my girls.If you want something super fancy and high end, that feels like a Four Seasons resort - this is not that vibe. The prices here are more low key and the feeling is more personal and rustic. For me, this is the kind of place where I feel like Im getting great value for my money, and where I feel like I get to taste that beautiful California nature.

What can you say about a location that has served people for 150 years.Ive been once, I wasnt sure what to expect. You will be greeted with friendly staff, Then you are on your own, do whatever you want on this beautiful property.The springs are a tad cooler than I would like, I have a hot tub, the tubs I believe run around 90 degrees here, not tubs run 97-104. Keep in mind, its natural, cant do anything about temp!!Its a ancient yet simplistic system that runs on pressure, gravity, tubs are rustic, some dating well over 100 years. The water come straight from the stream, the minerals, they call Champaign are neat.Over all, relaxing!!They do have a community type of spring tub that is hot, without that, I wouldnt highly recommend because it would be cold to many folks.P.S. come with your suite on, changing options are available but limited.If it was good enough for Mark Twain, it will work for you!!

Not for winter. Private mineral bath is too cold to soak in and relax. I felt it was around 85-90F. I ended up staying in jacuzzi. There are also not enough light to walk in the evening. I could hear what neighbors are talking... the location was very nice, peaceful and silent.

This is a warm spring. The spring water can be filled into a bathtub. Its likely nice during warm months, but in December, when you really want to warm up in a hot spring, it leaves you feeling cold and rushing to the hot tub (they know it) which is not geothermal heat. Bathing suits are required and day use is more expensive then similar facilities in the area. Go to check it off your springs list. They do boast antique original redwood pipes, if thats interesting to you.

The staff was super friendly and hospitable, even though we werent staying. The site was beautiful. The springs were not what I was expecting, but I could feel my body tingling. Because you have to stay still in order to get the full bubble champagne bath experience, I found myself relaxing much more than I thought I would. Vichy Springs Resort is a beautiful Resort tucked away in the hills near Ukiah. The primary highlight is the champagne like bubbling water. Its not Actually hot water but its quite interesting because of the effect of the bubbling water, which has high sulphur content. There are also great hiking trails tucked away in the back, such as one that ends at a waterfall. For the price, $249, its a bit pricey, but not so bad considering it includes usage of the Vichy baths, hot tub, and pool. A great place for one or two nights.

The carbonated spring water is definitely unique and there is probably few places to get this type of experience. But do set your expectations accordingly. It is lightly carbonated, not like bubbling soda water. It is also about room temperature water, so you will get chilly in it after a while. There is a hot tub to warm up in though, but I found myself in the hot tub longer than the carbonated springs. The owner is a nice elderly gentlemen and joined us in the tub. He told stories and gave a lot of insights about the site.

I would recommend going in summer though as it can be a bit chilly at other times and there is probably more green when it is spring or summer versus winter. Review №92

The baths are undeniably wonderful: soothing, relaxing, great for my edema! However, I think it is all really overpriced. It is $65 for day use that ends at 7pm. If you stay at the resort you can use the baths until 2am -- its really cool to lay in the tubs and look at the stars! The rooms are pricey though, Ive stayed in the cheapest with 2 twin beds for $250/night. But it was very clean and comfortable, not fancy but bright and pretty. Last time we rented one of the historic cottages for around $600 but they had put in tacky granite counters and the shower/tub was one of those inserts with the sliding glass doors so it wasnt charming like I would expect. It just seems like there are lots of missed opportunities in the rooms to make it feel like you are somewhere special and justify the expense. But if everything were cheaper then there might be an uncomfortable amount of people, so possibly it is priced just right. So far in my experience the crowd has been manageable but I can see how it could become a problem since all of the baths are singles (except the hot tub) so you might have to wait for someone to leave. But the guests seem cognizant of the need to share and keep things moving so we did the same. A really special experience for sure, the Vichy springs are not your average hot springs and not just because of the tiny bubbles either, the therapeutic benefits are very profound and lasting. I just wish they had some sort of frequent flyer program!

I took my girlfriend here for a getaway weekend, and we both loved it. We only stayed one night but we were able to take advantage of the facilities. The resort has some open air and some closed and private (two baths) champagne mineral baths. The water is only lukewarm, but the champagne-like bubbles and mineral baths feel really good on the skin. We went at night and first went into the enclosed bath because the four open air ones were taken. After a while we moved to the open air one, and it felt very relaxing to sit there and look up at the beautiful night sky; the sky was full of stars and you could even spot the milky way. We also saw a good amount of shooting stars. Afterwards, we went to the hot tub which was much warmer. It was cold at night and we definitely felt cold getting out of the mineral baths but the hot tub warmed us up well. We didnt make use of the swimming pool, but it would have felt nice during the hot day. During the day, there are a few short hikes around the area. We only did one short loop (30 minutes) around the pond and back. Lots of little lizards and some bees but it was really nice. Breakfast is provided and is just basic fruits and pastries, but its nice waking up and having food available. There are no restaurants there so we had to drive out to the town to eat, but luckily it is close by. There is WiFi throughout the resort and one pokestop. :) Overall, we found exactly the relaxing weekend getaway we were looking for and enjoyed our time there.
