The trail is very scenic. If you want to see Joshua trees as far the eye can see, come here. Sunrises and Sunsets are amazing here. There are plenty a of rock formations to get some altitude and see God paint the sky with beautiful colors.

Have had the pleasure to hike almost all the trails in Joshua Tree. This one by far is the most family friendly and fun for all ages. If you are feeling adventurous you can climb up to the top of any of the rock piles and get a birds eye view of the whole park.

For two and a half years, friends and coworkers told me I had to see Joshua Tree. So when I planned a cross country road trip for the summer and heard they had reopened from COVID, I knew I had to add it as a stop. Its beautiful, to be sure. The trees are so unique and beautiful. Watching the sunset there was amazing. All in all though, Id say that Joshua Tree is hyped up. I think people see it as a cool spot to take Instagram pictures or to rough it but my opinion is that its overrated. If you can, stop here, if not, no worries.

Nice and easy little hike in the heart of the valley. It takes about 30 mins to an hour depending on your speed and which trails you take. As you walk you get to climb some rocks and to see different kinds of sights typical for Joshua Tree National park. Also try to pay attention to the wildlife as you walk-there is a lot of birds here. There were way too many people on the trail but we still enjoyed it. The best time to be here is during sunrise or sunset. Also the night sky here is quite spectacular! Bring plenty of water.

This is one of the best hikes in the area. Its not too long, its not that steep, but theres lots of huge rock formations to climb and make this hike strenuous and long if you want. The hike also has lots of interesting things for actual rock climbing enthusiasts, and you can see many of them in action. If you can do just one hike in the park, do this one. You get a great view of the Joshua Trees spread out over the desert scape, an amazing view of the rock formations in this area, and some great views of vegetation in the desert.

If you come here, and you want a challenge you should look up on YouTube: How to find the Chasm of Doom, in Joshua Tree! Its awesome! If you dont want to climb in tight spaces that are challenging, but you still want to hike, this is a great place! You do have to pay $30 to get a week long pass in the park, but its worth it! Also, they do have outhouses!

Superb experience of a great nature walk. Beautiful trail and scenic landscapes around. Joshua trees, desert land, huge stones, stone mountains and much more to explore. Take plenty of water and avoid going in afternoons or in severe heat. Preferably take the trails in mornings, late afternoons or evenings. We were here in Spring season and the desert everywhere was unbelievably blooming with various colorful flowers and the aroma was spread everywhere in the atmosphere.

Great one-mile hike. There are two spots, as you enter and exit, that are a little steep and rocky with narrow passages. I was carrying a wiggling toddler who was tired of walking and had to be careful so he didnt hit his head on a rock while he flailed. But we made it! The terrain otherwise is almost completely flat and sandy. I enjoyed my barefoot hike, but definitely keep your eyes open for cactus if you do it barefoot or in sandals. Or shorts. Or athletic shoes. Actually, just watch for cactus. They arent right on the trail, but you will find them if you go to any of the short side ones.

Absolutely beautiful trail. The sunset here is fantastic, however it can get very cold since this is a desert (and because of the wind) so I would recommend bringing some layers to wear. During day, it can get very hot and VERY DRY, so make sure to bring water to stay hydrated and apply sunscreen as well. Me and my family had camped here before, this place is very kid-friendly and has great facilities, except the restrooms in the camping area is very dirty and there’s often a very long line, so I would recommend using the bathrooms at the visitor center if possible. Again, I would definitely recommend this place to camp, hike, take pictures, and spend quality time with your family. a truly beautiful place, I would definitely 10/10 recommend going here.

Joshua Tree is beautiful and has lot sof trails. Hidden Valley was recommended by our airbnb host as an easy hike. It was perfect my husband and I who prefer a leisurely stroll to scrambling over rocks or a steep climb. It was essentially a loop with a little elevation near the end. There were other hikers on the trail but not so much that it disturbed the silence, nor did the trail seem crowded. The whole time I was marveling at how beautiful this little piece of desert was. Definitely going back to Joshua Tree to camp, hike, and see more of what this high desert has to offer.

Great experience to walk in this beautiful valley. Not visible from the road, it is hidden between several mountains. Great vegetation, of typical Joshua Trees. Easy hikes ok approx. 1.2 miles, with no inclination. It is doable in 30 minutes with kids. Bring enough water as it is exposed to the sun.
