Neat place, but open the restrooms! I get visitor center is closed, but restrooms are separate outside entry. Nobody visits here just because its closed? No, were from out of town, so cant wait all week until you open. Weird hours.

Unbelievably beautiful!! Im a saguaro lover & this was HEAVEN!! Center isnt open right now, but the bathrooms are open from 8AM-12Noon. There is a lot of smoke cover from CA fires so the views arent the best. Im going to come back when it clears. Im also going to visit their gift shop. Lots of cool items in the windows.

The visitor center is small and has ample parking space. The rangers are very helpful. We couldn’t watch the park movie as there was a ranger program happening. That was the only disappointment. There are restrooms outside the center. The visitor center has enough shady places at the back to rest and also a overlooking patio. The cactus garden trail is very close to the centerThe visitor center had exhibits explaining the desert ecosystem. Dial to know more about each and every living being in the desert

The staff were friendly and helpful. The Red Hills offers the wonderful views of the Saguaro at the balcony in the back. The small desert garden on the left is excellent. We got the Park nap at the center. The officer suggested that I could take a car to do the Bajada Loop. The Bajada Loop is an unpaved road. I wish I could have more time at the center.

This is the visitor center for the west part of the Saguaro National Park (the east part is on the other side of Tucson). Anyway, we stopped off here before doing some exploring. Parking is a mess (even at 9AM) so we ended up parking somewhat illegally in a loading area - along with 10 other cars. The visitor center is nice, but not very well laid out - it was difficult to see anything. That said, we found a super helpful park ranger who gave us a lot of great info and even advised us on a road nearby where we could go for a walk with our dogs (dogs arent allowed on trails in the park which makes sense).

The rangers here were so friendly and helpful and were even telling us jokes and riddles. My kids had a blast there and we loved learning about the cacti, desert ecosystem, and enjoying some simple hikes. It is a unique place. The store at the visitors center is small and we bought several things. It is run by a separate group and the employees there weren’t nearly as friendly or as family friendly which I thought odd since they are in the private sector and should be more accommodating to paying customers, not less than the publicly employed rangers. Anyway, like all National Parks, this one is worth visiting, particularly in the non-summer months. Bring lots of water to drink whenever you choose to go.

Found out that this is the much busier of the two visitor centers. Rangers well all pleasant and helpful. Only bad interaction came when I suggested reusing the bag we got at the other gift shop the day before. The guy seemed upset about that oddly enough. My ten year old had to point out the merits of recycling.

Friendly clean courteous and very helpful a really nice Visitor Center. Beautiful views of Picacho Peak with many Saguaro cacti. This is the ranger station for Picacho Peak State Park. It is very hot here most of the year. It starts to cool off in October and it warms back up in March. I was there in October and it was in the upper 90s but Pleasant and arid. This would be the perfect place to go for winter camping and hiking.Exceptional photo opportunities with Saguaro and Picacho Peak backdrops Picacho Peak is very traumatic if you are a photographer or a painter or a Sketcher incredible views from all different angles especially coming from I-10 either east or west. And on the grounds the views just keep getting better and there are tons of Saguaro everywhere

This is the spot with the highest density of Saguaro cacti - a literal forest if Saguaro. The Visitor Center has an excellent film presentation. We did a nature hike with a naturalist in the garden in front of the center. This greatly helped us when we went hiking trails later in the identification of plants and animals. I would highly recommend stopping here on your journey!

Saguaro National Park offers a variety of nature exhibits and hikes. These hikes range from quick walks around the Cactus Garden Trail (just 100 yards) or longer treks like the Hugh Norris Trail (4.9 miles). Be sure to bring plenty of water, and dont forget you can fill your bottles at the visitor center. While youre at the visitors center, be sure to stop by the Park Store to pick out a souvenir from the large selection of unique artwork and other knickknacks. For the kids, check out the classes and tours offered by the visitors center!Stay hydrated and have fun!

My Aunt flew in just to see the cacti blooming and was not disappointed. At the visitor center we watched a 15 minute video about the land and saguaro cactus. Then waited for the 35 minute talk with a man who worked there for many years and is now a volunteer. He was so knowledgeable and taught me a lot that I didnt know and I love here! We bought shirts, chocolate, earrings from the center and had a great visit. :)
