Needed a grassy area to take my dogs during a long road trip to Texas. 50% of the grass is dried out, lots of gopher holes everywhere. Broken water balloon pieces all over that was left behind and not picked up. Very cool cactus that was home for quite a few birds was in parking lot.

Could definately use an up grade on the playground equipment. The slides are blocked off due to cracks in them. I was there a few days ago it was clean but had a few weirdos hanging out by bathrooms.. For that size of park and all the kids in neighborhood upgrade the jungle gym for toddlers..

The fields are pretty beat-up but its a nice big park and easily accessible since its right off of Silverbell. The parking is plentiful but the parking surface could use a redo. Given the lack of funding the city has for parks, I think this is a pretty decent place.

I really like the layout of the park , there is variety of ball fields ramadas and parking areas. The overall maintenance of the park is good. The only drawback is that the pool has been lost.

I take my children here every week or so. A lot of grass and trees, a few baseball fields, free covered table areas and a decent park. During the week the park is usually pretty decent, but they really need to clean on Monday mornings. Between the sports and parties in the park over the weekend, it can get pretty messy... Another parent had to stop the parks worker and ask them to clean the playground. Fortunately he was pretty nice about it.

Theres always random people hanging out at the tables (not there with kids) even in the middle of the day. Many people come here to walk their dogs too...which has never been a problem. Wish that the swings had a shade structure & that they werent so far from the slides. They used to have more swings & recently (within the last year) they changed them out & took out half of them. Now theres only room for one baby to swing at a time. Big park, like the location since its close to home, just wish they would change some things.

As with most Tucson parks, it is nice to have in the area, however it would be wonderful if the City of Tucson hired someone to regularly keep it clean, or made the effort to coordinate volunteers.

Ka

Park really could use an upgrade and a good cleaning. I think its unfortunate that due to the area it seems to get neglected because the kids in this neighborhood/surrounding ones could really benefit from a clean safe place to play. The fields for softball/baseball seem to be kept up well I see a lot of the coaches picking up stuff around the fields keeping it nice for the players which is great. When the pool is open it adds an awesome aspect to the park as that is included and doesnt get the foot traffic or homeless/addicts etc the other areas do. The bathrooms are always leaking also. All in all its a good location and they have a cool workout,/gymnastics style playground for the older kids balancing beams, bars for flips, scaling wall etc but even there you can never even feel safe letting your kid take his/her shoes off

Great park on the west side of Tucson. Several ball diamonds, swings, covered picnic tables, BBQ grills, open space for frizbee. Dont sit on the grass, its really a carpet of burrs and it will ruin your clothes. Hard on the dogs feet also ..

Nice park however city needs to do a lot of maintenance on the grounds. The play area for kids is rather small for that size of park. The pool is still closed due to funding. Too bad the city council cant find money for the west side park.

Large park (several acres of grass and four baseball fields). Ramadas and several picnic tables, climbing frame and swings. The City does a good job of keeping it clean but there are some overgrown areas where drug paraphernalia are visible and liquor bottles are discarded. Open till 10 but Id use discretion.
