Mcdonald Park has two dog runs -- one recommended for small dogs and the other for larger dogs. It also has a number of walking paths and playing fields. Beautiful views of the Catalina Mountains, too. Its a nice place to take a break.

McDonald Park is a great, moderately-sized neighborhood park with a number of amenities, including large fields, playgrounds, basketball courts, dog parks, and a walking path. The walking path is about 2/3 mile and spans the perimeter of the park. Plenty of families, older folks, and dog owners there on the weekends. Feels safe and well maintained, although the grass on some of the fields is not replanted for winter.

Removing the chairs and water bowls from the dog park.... Really hurts the elderly and disabled patrons that frequent the dog park.Removing the rocks around the water source (hose) is leading to a lot of mud as well, major slip hazard and petri dish for waterborne illness.

The park itself isnt really anything to be amazed about. The best thing about this park besides the fact that its hidden in the foothills would have to be the view. Entering into the park you are surrounded by trees and grass as you would expect, but its proximity to the mountain range in the background sets it apart from most other parks. Definitely worth a trip if you have kids or just want a quiet park with good views for a stroll. It also has a nice (off-leash) dog park for your furry friends.

The dog park is such a lively place, but the owners of other dogs seem to be rude every time we go. The sport fields are always fun, a bit trashy sometimes though. The speed bumps are high, cracked, and make my teeth hurt every time we drive over them no matter how slow you drive! Its a park though, cant expect too much.

A 10 mile 20 minute drive to check out the dog park here on the basis of a rumor that this Tucson dog park had grass. It did and didnt. It once did but hasnt been reseeded or had any landscape maintenance in several years. Another fail. And to think, 60% of Tucson residents own dogs. Parks Department is more concerned with their not wanting to do maintenance. Thanks for nothing Tucson.

This is one of my favorite parks! Its definitely the top of my list for East Side Tucson Parks. I love the walking/running/skating/scootering/bike track that goes around the park and through the desert. Plenty of fields to hit some baseballs, play soccer, football, etc. And then theres the playground - its shaded! Theres something for everybody - young and old. Theres baby swings and a little hippo and giant caterpillar for the little ones and a giant slide for the bigger kids. Theres big trees to climb and the bathrooms are generally kept pretty clean.

This park is fabulous. Its somewhat tucked away in this upper middle class neighborhood on the far eastside but if you like baseball which I do this is the park for that. Baseball seems to rule at this park. I love watching kids play the game so no doubt I will be back during the season to catch some action. Glad I wandered over here. Baseball and softball season not far off now. McDonald Park is where I will be.
