When I was a teen they used to have an area in the foothills mall, and during the holidays the winter train scene was unbelievable. Well now they have their own huge building, need I say more. They are a non-profit organization, and donate their time, and raise fund through their gift shop. If you have kids, or are a big kid its a must see.

This place is really cool and fun. The only thing is that most of the train tracks are elevated, making it hard for little kids (who I would think is the main audience for this venue) to see. But tons of really cool displays with working lights and sounds and buttons so that people can operate the different parts. Odd hours (only open once a month or something) but worth a visit if youre into trains or have a little one who is. I even learned that they have a scavenger hunt which would be fun for the grown ups while the kids are captivated by the trains.

Alot of macro detailing and creation by a bunch of fabulous people. All those who work there are so kind and they take there time to explain to our questions. Kids love this play. My son was just 18 months and he was enjoying it so much. There are some play area for kids to play with some train too. And u can even celebrate birthdays with prior bookings.

I highly recommend Gadsens for all train lovers; children and adults alike. We easily spent 2 hours there pushing buttons and looking at all the different villages and trains. Our children truly enjoyed carrying around the step stools that were provided (thank you) to each of the different buttons to see what each one did. It was a really lovely way to spend a few hours. Also, the owners of the train sets were on hand to patiently answer all of our questions. They were so nice.
