We had the most wonderful time @ the Mini Time Machine Museum! So many beautiful exhibits to see. My daughters had so much fun with the fairy hunt. And they already had some amazing Christmas displays out. I would budget 1 - 2 hours to make sure you can soak it all in. They also provide stools + flashlights for the littles to ensure they can see the higher displays and really enjoy the experience. Just ask at check-in.

Cute! Nice way to spend a few hours indoors. The Enchanted Forest was my favorite part. All of the miniatures could start blurring together, it’s a lot of peering at little details but the museum is just the right size. Any bigger and it would probably be a bit too much on the eyes. Inspired me to try building a miniature room! Cute tiny gifts in the gift shop.

OMG this place is so cute and beautiful. I love it. There are so many things to look at and that fantasy room is gorgeous. I know with the Covid thing it is hard to go but they make it super safe everyone is keeping their distance and wearing face mask they have hand sanitizer stations and if you are a family or just someone who has ebt or wicc you can go for a super cheap price $1 each person. It is awesome I definitely recommend.

This place is quite different from anything else in Tucson. They have miniatures of all kinds, from periods dating back to 1740. You get a lesson in history here, along with the full art museum experience. And the variety of miniature creations is impressive — endless houses in different styles, fairies, tiny paintings on coins, scale replicas, Christmas towns, mice scenes — the works. Its a quiet place (in my experience) with extremely friendly staff to help you every step of the way. The lighting is low; though you cant use flash photography, you can use your phone flashlight to see better and take pictures without the flash. The lobby includes an adorable gift shop full of small things. Some are pricy, some arent. All different price points. If youre looking for a unique experience for all ages, a place to get out of bad weather, and to expand your mind a bit, check this place out. For the truly impressed, they offer memberships.

The museum was quite fascinating. They even had doll houses from the 1800s, which gave me insight to what doll houses in that time period looked like. The only problem was that some designs looked a little cluttered, so it was hard to appreciate them. Otherwise I saw fascinating sets. They had an activity for children where you can find a fairy throughout the exhibits. Which is not that difficult. If you are a muniture enthusiast I would recommend visiting.

Its not often that I give a 2-star review, especially for a museum, but I felt so inclined for this one. When I visited here with my family, I approached the young woman at the front desk and asked her about the place, etc. I had normal questions about the place. The woman didnt have much to say and referred me to the hand-out trifold brochure every chance she got. Well, I dont want to sit and read the trifold brochure; Ive got three kids. She didnt mention that theres stools you can borrow for kids to use. (Again, I had to discover this fact buried in the brochure.) And she also didnt discuss the price with me, but simply said, Its $35 total. I asked her if I could have a small pencil (you know the type they give you at putt-putt golf thats 2.5 inches long and barely writes), which was sitting in a box directly next to the counter top. She replied, you can BORROW one. At that point I understand that shes the irritated librarian that you feared when you were in grade-school. Shes been working in a sound-insulated environment too long and she should walk outside and realize that the world is LOUD. I get it, its a museum. But if theyre giving scavenger hunt maps to kids in hopes of attracting new business then they should consider hiring an employee that is more kid-friendly and understands that parents sometimes need to hear it verbally because theyve got toddlers spinning them in circles. Im not the cater-to-me-parent either. I dont expect hand-outs for being a dad (or mom), but I would recommend coming here and knowing that YOURE KN YOUR OWN AS SOON AS YOU WALK IN. And to be clear, Ill probably go back here someday, but I want the owners to know that they should pay closer attention to their staff. (Still a cool place to visit. )

Oh my stars and fairies! This place was so fasinating!! The child in me wanted to shrink and walk inside all of these houses! I cant imagine how these miniatures are created??!! The historical room was also impressive! Such a beautiful collection of doll houses! I spent three hours there and could have stayed longer! While its sweet for children to see and all behind glass, I did notice younger children moving along fairly quick and parents wanting to linger longer. I am going to bring my grand daughters when they are at least 9, with patience enough to take in the wonder and talent! The museum was very clean and wheelchair friendly!

I visited this museum thanks to the Blue Star Program. Thank you for participating in this program to expose our active duty members to the arts. Some of our military need culture, and this initiative is a great way to provide an assist.Okay. I was not a fan, but that does not indicate it was bad. These miniatures are an amazing display of human creativity. The displays were well placed and the flow through the museum was smooth. It was amazing to see so many different miniaturized depictions of life. Of course I dont think I would go back, but if you desire to see miniaturized versions of things, this place is for you.

And more of the art on display for sale. The staff were super friendly and welcoming.

This is a great place...once. There are so many fascinating and unique models to choose from to look at. Some are absolutely exquisite. Some are abysmal. Regardless, I believe its worth a visit. I took wife and kiddos and we spent a couple of hours looking around and checking all the models out. I think they have done a pretty good job of laying things out and providing a lot of variety. Time periods are covered well so I feel there is something that will appeal to everyone. We went on Thursday so the price was right. It was $24 for all of us and we are 4.

So cute!Pros: This little place is so big, and offers a lot to explore. I was in a trance the entire time. The docents were correct when they said you have to come back several times. It was exciting and overwhelming all at the same time, but in a good way of course. I am already planning my next visit.Cons: The guess seating around the exhibits are limited, and this made it a little tough for those of us with disabilities and physical challenges. Overall, a wonderful museum to visit nonetheless.

Great way to stay out of this Tucson heat and still keep the kids entertained. Small place but still managed to spend 3 hours there. The staff in the back are super nice, Maria let my 4 boys take a look and feel for all the miniature things she makes. Also very informative of all the displays. While one of the other staff with such a great imagination took the kids on a seeking adventure which keep them searching. We sealed it off with arts and crafts totally free, they make tool box and tools out of household items. Very neat place we will be visiting again.

This place was great for both kids and adults. I loved studying all the details poured into the many works of art scattered throughout the exhibits. The kids were so antsy while my wife and I absorbed the adult aspect, but once they got to the enchanted area, they could hardly contain themselves. A must see if youve never been. We spent about an hour there and I could have spent about another hour to real study the miniatures and all their details. The kids lost interest which caused us to leave. 2 and 7 year old.

The museum is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. My family enjoyed ourselves here and would recommend. I say 2 hours at most and that is with stopping and talking about the scenes and with kids small kids in tow. There is a wide variety of stuff to see here. I was most excited for the fantasy room, because I love that kind of stuff, but I was mostly disappointed that most of those displays were collections of mass-manufactured childrens toys. There were a few imaginative artistic dioramas in the fantasy section, but not many. The rest of the museum is filled with all different types of miniatures, most depicting different styles of architecture or interior decoration. The style and quality varies widely, but even someone who generally does not have an interest in this sort of thing could probably find enough stuff to keep them interested for an hour or so.

Our nine year old great-niece was visiting from out of town, and we thought this was something she would enjoy doing. The adults were going along for the ride, so to speak. We were all very pleasantly surprised! The museum isnt a tacky, dusty attic-like venue, but a very upscale and well maintained gallery. Our niece loved it, and we adults (including the men) found it very enjoyable and worth the price of admission. The displays are amazing works of art and fun to look at. There are plenty of benches scattered about to sit on when the elders need a break, and although we went in the cool month of February, would imagine it would be a nice escape from all the many outdoor attractions in the heat of summer.

This is an impressive collection of miniatures and dollhouses! Ive never seen this much tiny stuff under one roof. While some of it is sort of forgettable (I can see the full range of Department 56 Christmas village pieces at a store), others are unbelievable -- tiny works of art rendered in stunning detail. I would say plan on no more than about two hours -- thats enough time to see most if not all of it, and honestly, after two hours of looking at ornate dollhouses and tiny artifacts, youll reach a saturation point where your eyes start crossing and uncrossing and your brains start leaking out your ears. But in the meantime, it is an amazing experience!!
