Way too expensive for anything. No reason a movie should cost this much. And the food is not that good for what they charge. I want the old place in the mall back. Was actually worth going then. I don’t like going here much

I loved it!!! I saw ONWARD! It was so cool sad funny adventurous and loving!!! My dad passed last year...Its been really hard on me and my family. I was 11. Now that Im 12 life gets harder. When I saw that movie I cried tears of relief. THANK YOU to the creators of this movie. RIP dad love you ehman.

Easily the best theater in North West Michigan. Comfortable stadium seating, great sound and large screen with great picture. Cant wait till it reopens I miss my movie weekends

Visiting Traverse City, I had to stop at the cinema. There are those days that everything goes perfect, the movie, the snacks, the sound system, the quality of image, and the clapping of the audience. I know, when Traverse City, I will visit again.

Great service! Theaters are large, ample seating for everyone. Tickets and concessions are expensive, but it is worth it for the occasional movie outing my family enjoys. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Very nice theater!

Kid at counter was acting like he was being put out by waiting on us.Ask for Pretzel bites, said we could not get them. Said he and Manager were the only ones on.We were the only ones at counter at that time.We are regular customers every week. Pay for the premier membership.Spend hard earned money.Very Disappointed today.

Volume was way to loud. I understand the movie theater experience but it was way louder than that. 30 + minute of previews. Definitely not the best AMC theater out there. At least the movie was good. I expected better for amount paid for everything.

Always a great experience coming here. Being a PREMIER member is great! A++ Great snacks and drinks,friendly staff,clean and comfortable theater and clean restrooms. Never having to wait in long lines is a plus. Love online ticket purchases and seat reservations. I recommend this theater to all!

Very clean theater, young but helpful staff, comfortable seats in the IMAX theater, very clean and properly placed restrooms, and a good program for soft drinks (free refills).We are premier AMC members, which is worthwhile. You get a special line which bypass the non-premier members, although you have to more/less self-administrate being noticed at the head of the premier line. Discounts are generous, and the perks are worth the small fee to join.We purchase tickets in advance online, which allows a nice seat selection. I dont know how well the combined concession / ticket line works for those who do not do so. I suspect for those who do not purchase concessions, the resultant wait time might be longer....but it beats standing in two different lines.All told, Traverse is lucky to have a theater like this....it has big city amenities in what really is just a small town.

Tuesdays! 5 dollar movies if youre a member! Also a popcorn and pop for 5 bucks. Basically half of Tuesday. Movie theater itself is amazing. Clean, new, huge screens. A+

Tough after covid no refills cant put your own butter on but still full price I will wait till more normal times! I go for the popcorn though!

I don’t remember the name of the lady, but I do know her name started with a G.... very rude to me and my boyfriend. My boyfriend went back to get popcorn because she “didn’t hear us” and she got snotty and said it wasn’t her fault and we never told her we wanted it. I call bs. It’s her job to get us what we ask for, that is why she is working there. Not to get snotty and make me have to give it right back to her. Not sorry for that.

The experience overall was fine just very expensive. It feels like they take advantage of the fact that they are the only place in town aside from the state theater. Tickets are fine by concessions are where they get you. What was really disappointing was that they had pre-filled popcorn containers (and it wasnt busy) so that the popcorn that we got was no longer warm. Maybe I was spoiled growing up near a theater that was reasonably priced but my experience here did not encourage me to become a frequent customer.

Unhappy with the fact that you have to wait in ticket line again to get any additional food or beverages during your movie experience. My movie started and I left to get some additional food and drink and I was told to wait in a line that easily was a 30 minute wait! Needless to say I wont be visiting this establishment without change anytime soon.

I feel the popcorn station needs to stay open after the movie at 7:05pm last night. Love the comfy seats.

Mixed reviews!!! Im upset with AMC as a parent company, I searched for Cherry Blossom Theater in Traverse City and it took me to the AMC page. I ordered my tickets online and drove an hour into town to see the movie with my wife and kids. When I went to the ticket man I was told I dont have tickets. The manager came to assist and it seems AMC directed me to Cherry Creek Cinemas in Denver, Colorado, not even close to Traverse City. The manager was awesome and was able to switch my tickets to Traverse City without problem. Way helpful, way accommodating. Im glad they were able to get us in, as we were seeing the new Star Wars, and it could easily have been full.

Watched jexi. It was hilarious. The seats are comfortable, sound and picture are great. However, the womens bathroom and the drinks station counters could use a little more attention.

I go on Tuesday for their $5.00 deals. It fits my budget way better. It a wonderful, large modern theater which makes for a great experience.

Expect to wait in line for a long time if you are not in premier. They had 5 clerks. All in which only called premier. That line never ended.... One nice lady in the premier let me go instead of her. I was in line for at least 10 mins or longer and not once had a regular line be called. The Manager could care less when I approached him with my concern. So if you want good service dont expect it here!

Its busy, theaters are nice . Not enough employees ,. They will try and make you get In The back of the line of ticket purchasers when your in the middle of a movie and want a drink or popcorn or refill...its a joke! You would miss half of the movie waiting in those crazy lines ...just because they dont want to pu an extra person on a teller. They need better Management period!

Laid out horribly. The ticket line is the same as the refreshment line. I bought on fandango and would have had to wait in the ticket line anyway to get some soda or popcorn. Youve got to fix that. I skipped the refreshments and just went hungry for the movie. Youre losing money for sure.

Great movie theater, very clean and has good prices. Has alcohol available as well if you need it.I think the building is only a few years old so it has all the latest tech and seating for movies. The seats in even the non-IMAX theaters are leather and have lots of room for people to walk to their seat without making everyone sit up to get by.

We saw A Dogs Journey. This is a really good family for us dog peopleIt was a bit more relateable than most voice-over animal movies. Top notch cast enhanced the realism. Of course there were sad moments in this film but they were not overwhelming.

Great movie Yesterday! Funny... Kate McKinnon is deadpan. The director is brilliant. Self deprecating. All the acting is superb. Perfect movie for us old fogies who dont get out much.

We have been there and watched quite a few good movies and some of them were Christian movies and some of them werent but it was always a good time

Chairs are comfortable relaxing enough room to enjoy your drink and popcorn while seeing movie and laugh or whatever you do at the moment. . . lots of room for legs lean back ahh enjoy the show .

Newer theater with updated screens, audio equipment, and projectors make for a good experience. Chairs are comfy; specially in the IMAX theater.However the prices for snacks and drinks makes the visit somewhat painful. Then they advertise membership fees to get discounts to make the prices better but still high compared to smaller theaters in the area. I only make the trip for special movies and eat dinner before the show to avoid the drinks/snacks because its cheaper. I wish they had a line to buy tickets only because most of the wait is caused by indecision on snacks and membership sign ups.

Comfortable seating and nice to be able to have a beer or glass of wine while watching the movie.

We went to the Opening Day of Frozen at 4 pm. We had pre-purchased reserve seat tickets. There was a HUGE line for popcorn and very few workers. Disappointing. (Popcorn was very dry, too). I do enjoy the pop dispensers with so many choices.

Decent theater. But they start every movie within 30 minutes of each other so there’s a horrible line. Tonight was 8 movies starting within 35 minutes... the person who sets the start times does a horrible job.

Poor customer service and disorganized ticket purchasing process. Watched 7 groups in a row called from the premier line before calling someone from the regular line. Regular line was really long. They also allow people to bring in a plastic popcorn bucket from home. Employees at the concession touch these buckets with their equipment when filling up these buckets. Quite unsanitary.

Movies are always enjoyable, recommend getting the popcorn bucket special for frequent viewers as you save money on snacks. Weekdays are great for bringing kids as they have price specials on Tuesday.

The theater is nice, but it takes a long time to get through the line to buy your tickets/food cause of the premier line.

Great theater with many options and they serve alcoholic beverages. Seating is nice and recline some making it a comfortable experience. Only flip side is pricing they are kinda steep compared to other places of the same caliber

It is a very nice theater. The seats are comfortable and they have a separate handicap section, which is nice. The only problem is if you have difficulty walking, some of the screens are quite a distance to walk.

Movie start time is 6:15. It is now 6:22 and they are still doing commercials. It is now 6:42 and the movie just started.

Best movie experience, love I MAX. Seats are extremely comfortable and spacious. No worries about someone in front of you because you much higher than them. There is an upper and lower seating as well as wheelchair spots. You can also buy beer and wine here if over 21, but you have a limit of 2. Popcorn is great but it does cost a bit. Service is fast and buying you can pre but your tickets (I use fandango personally). When I got my tickets I bought them 3 weeks in advance and then you can choose your seats and they will be reserved. This place is a must see, and do.

The facility is nice and the staff is friendly. The ticket prices were on the high side, but to be fair, it was an IMAX movie so I expected to pay more. The concession prices are off the charts - crazy expensive. Save your money and eat before going inside. If I have a suggestion, it would be do something with the website...it is absolutely terrible.

Not being much of a theater goer, I was a bit intimidated with the lobby set up.The special line was clearly marked but it was a little confusing as to where we should be going to purchase tickets. There were plenty of counter personnel and the area was quite loud. Seems like the acoustics could have been as good as each auditorium but it wasnt. The counter person we had seemed to be in a big hurry to move us on, but there were only a few people behind us with plenty of other employees to help them. Auditorium seats were a little different than what Im used to but they were comfortable enough to keep me from squirming around near the end of the movie.

Really nice theater, has ticket machines so you can skip the waiting line unless you want to get snacks. The theaters could get cleaned better between screenings, but other than that the facility is very nice.

There is nothing wrong with this theater as long as you are not buying food. We rarely go to the movies and when we do we never buy popcorn because its so overpriced. On a recent movie venture, we paid for a matinee, so decided to spring for their smallest popcorn and just ONE of their smallest soft drinks. It came to $14.40! Thats just excessive. Other irritation was premiere customers who kept getting served first, one right after the other, regardless of the fact we were in line for 20 minutes and they had just walked in the door. Because we arent premiere members, we felt less valued as customers. We were only like 8th in our line, but we kept being held off while premiere members kept walking in and being served first. If you want to see a ton of movies and pay for a membership to do so, fine, but I dont think you should get to usurp another customers place in line because of it.

Movie was awesome. Poorly prepared theater....not enough crew for start of holiday movie crush. Waited 40 mins in line just for water and popcorn. Prepaid for IMAX tickets. Missed beginning of movie.

This is the best theatre in northern lower Michigan. The service was smooth and fast. Ticket pricing for regular screens is on par with other local theaters, but Imax is considerably higher but for obvious reasons. One being the screen is probably at least double the size of average theaters.

Theater itself is great, sets are comfy, sound system top notch but $12 for a hot dog about that for a beer, plus the lady that took my money for popcorn, never gave me back my change. Theater awesome but service is low grade RIP off.

Ok place to see a movie but since they are the only game in town they really price gauge on the concessions.

I love that I can get alcohol, I have no issue with any of its appearance. AMC has a great rewards plan. Stadium seating and IMAX has reserved seating. Concession prices are what youd expect, thats where they make their money and Id prefer they stay open.

Terrible, I had prepaid tickets. I had to wait in line for 20 minutes. Finally get tickets and get my son seated in movie theater. Go to get popcorn and was told I had to wait in line that was 50 people deep for refreshments. Everyone in that line was buying tickets to see the movies. They had an additional concessions stand that was not being attended. Second time in two weeks this exact same thing happened. Complained to manager both times, and the only thing he said was he could of done better. People who already have their tickets shouldnt have to wait in line for concessions when youre packing both people purchasing tickets and concessions in the same line. RIDICULOUS!

Nice theatres but youre going to pay for it in concessions. Large popcorn, two regs and three med pops cost 44.00. As long as your prepared for that youll be ok. Previews went way too long. Almost a half hour, no joke. 47 meters down uncaged was great. Seats were comfortable and lighting was good. I do understand why kids are so screwed up as a couple from Britan decided to bring four small children ages approximately 4-8 along with a baby in a stroller to an intense movie like that. Good luck paying for the therapist on that one.

Theres no visible management. Seems to be run by a computer server and a bunch of teens. Not good when the regular seats are more comfortable than the IMAX seats, that said, the regular seats arent that great. For Dunkirk the sound was adjusted horrible. Way too loud, distortion. Tapping on a desk shouldnt rattle the whole theater. Summation : For what this theater charges, you should expect better accommodations. Rating = sad face.

Okay, you pay a lot of money to see a movie on the big screen. No problem, however, it becomes an issue when the climate control in the theatre is set to where you are sweating in shorts, T-shirt and flip flops for the entirety of the movie. In addition, the theatre smells like sweat and urine, there are flies and some other bugs crawling around because of the lack of climate control. It was not an enjoyable experience at all. Hot, humid and dirty enviornment encourages growth of bacteria and is unhealthy. This place will never see a dime from our group again.

This place is amazing and my family really enjoys it. The tickets are fairly priced, however, the concession prices are ridiculous. $8 for a large popcorn is a bit much in my opinion. And I can get a slushie at Speedway for a fraction of the cost. But you pay for the experience and memories. My children will always remember watching Detective Pikachu in 3D and that to me is worth it.

Probably my favorite theater Ive been the seating reclines and the arms between the chairs all go up so its easy to get comfortable however you want to sit and having IMAX is a decent plus for some people Im sure but onto of whats physically there the food choices are so diverse it might as well be a small restaurant and all at 2hat I would consider an average price I think to see a movie not in IMAX with a large drink regular popcorn and and order of soft pretzel bites was around $33.

Prices were about $2 cheaper than what I expected (only 10.99 instead 12.99). Comfy seats with decent screens. Food prices at what you’d expect for a movie theater. No one checked for my ticket, though not sure if that’s a bonus or negative (I had bought a ticket). It was opening night of the movie, yet not to crowded, so that was nice.

Like this new theater. I like to sit in the higher seats. There isnt a bad seat anywhere .

This theater is pretty nice and moderately sized, so its not too crazy busy most of the time Ive been there. I think that maybe all bets are gonna be off around Christmas time when the new Star Wars movie comes out, though! Im looking forward to that!

A place that really makes it right. The IMAX is always clean and fantastic. The staff has always been just great to deal with. They make you feel welcome. Every time.

I try to shop local with the State, Bijou and Elk Rapids Cinema but I have to say AMC has treated me well. As usual with movies days days I took my child to one that was much more violent then the reviews I read and they actually gave me complimentary tickets for another show.

There should be a line for tickets and a line for food/drink. Was in our movie and decided wanted a soda and was going to have to wait in line for 10 minutes and miss my movie! That is very bad customer service.

The theater was very clean. We went on a Saturday afternoon. The staff was friendly and there were enough people working so things moved quickly. The seats were comfortable as well. Popcorn was a bit chewy. Prices are crazy, though - over $30 for one adult, one child, sharing popcorn / pop.

Seats are comfy and the refreshments are good. But having people buy tickets at the refreshments counter is a terrible idea. The line is always horribly long due to this lay out. Hey AMC, not everyone wants popcorn. Some of us just want to grab a quick ticket. Plan on showing up early.
