Nice place to walk. There isnt a lot out here. So youll have to plan on driving for food and other things.

I have spent nearly a year on these trails with my dog and I must admit these are some of the best trails I have ever hiked around this area of Kansas and this is coming from a country boy that has spent most of his life exploring nature.Dornwood trails and park are just a short drive from the south east side of Topeka which is filled with all the stores and restaurants one needs. Dont let the location fool you, I can tell a lot of care and attention has been given to them.I look forward to experiencing them more on my journey to a healthier body and mind.One of the best kept secrets of southeast Topeka.

Cute park. Water park is nice in the summer. Walking/ biking trail nearby. Baseball and softball fields still in use.

I was pleasantly surprised by the spray park they added to the park. I had no idea they had that amenity there. Thats awesome for the kids who may not be able to afford to go to the community pools. I hosted a birthday party there and the park was clean and grass was cut. The playground equipment was in great condition and appeared newer than in most parks. Im still shocked that something this nice is over here and grateful at the same time. It definitely didnt look this amazing when I was growing up! Way to go Topeka!

I went out to walk the mountain bike trails to see what they are like. This place will be lots of fun for all levels if riders.

I have been visiting dornwood since I was a child playing baseball there its like a home away from home great hiking trails ball diamonds n they is a splash park there now

Great trails through scenic woods along Deer Creek. The southeast portion of the county is distinct from the rest in that water in all the creeks is very clear and flows rapidly across a Rocky creek bed which enhlances the experience for me compared to the muddy slow flowing waters in the balance of northeast Kansas.

Older ball park but in pretty good shape. Could use being cleaned up a little. But not horrible.

I grew up right next to this park. My three brothers and I were out there all day, every day, every summer for years. We got to know the trails inside and out and the water dam I remember back before it fell. Its a good shaded walking trail theres some overgrown parts and theres some places that needs to be freshened up but overall great track trail for bikes or walking with the loved ones or your dog, has some very long extensive trails too. Compared to shunga trail it doesnt have the commercialized aspect, no concrete walkways no play areas no water fountains no sitting benches well very few sitting benches its more wild for sure... so when you come out make sure you bring a canteen or something to drink maybe a picnic and go at it its fun time.

There are three trails you can take and each have there own fun little wonders. Sadly not maintained as much as it could be trash everywhere and mostly overgrown. Be careful to wear good shoes it tends to be muddy.

Color marked trails. The landscape has changed a lot since we roamed through a few decades ago, but the mystique remains.

Love this place we were there alot when my youngest played summer baseball.

This place could use an upgrade. Theres hundreds of people in this section, maybe a thousand.My point is that there should be more offered at this recreational park.I admire and respect that which has been built so far, but Im not going to give this place a high rating.This place needs to be improved.

Quiet, peaceful... Relaxing

Was more to it than I thought. But I almost thought I was going to get lost a couple of times and was all by myself there.

I watched my grandson play T ball there and out was very pleasant

The kids had alot of fun at Dornwood Spray Park ! Their bathrooms were open and clean also. The hand soap was out but other than that we had a overall good time !!!!

I love the family atmosphere of the ball diamonds. The staff and coaches put learning and the kids first and foremost when it comes to softball and baseball. The kids really have fun

Great for taking my dog out on the trails they have in it. You can spend hours in it and still find new stuff all the while still knowing how to get back

This is supposed to be a fun place gor kids but honestly too many parents allow their children to come here unsupervised. Bullying other kids and cussing at them, please read the directions on the sign before you enter... no children should be left unattended.

Wish people would stop using the trail as a garbage can or that someone in parks and recreation would help keep it clean. In addition to all the beer cans and wrappers, I stepped over an old carpet and a ripped up shirt. Its a shame because it really is a beautiful area. It just feels like people dont really use it.

Splash Park is amazing and FREE! kids loved it, I loved watching them. Might be back daily

Love this splash pad for the kids to have a fun hour playing and getting wet. Several picnic tables for parents to sit and enjoy under the shade.

My granddaughters ball games were fun and exciting. Cant wait till next year.

Imho this park is a tranquil environment... not the ball diamonds or play equipment Im talking about the woods, trails, Creek, bridges, waterfall... yes there is a most wonderful waterfall! There is paw paw trees hiding if you can find them. SALAMANDER PONDS etc

Poorly run association!!! If you have a problem you are redirected in circles. Apparently being a board member (?) means you can behave poorly without accountability. Grass literally growing in the infield during the season. Stickers grow in the pitchers warm up areas. The bathrooms are always filthy.
