Love both the story of the artists and the adobe architecture. Decorated from the time the time the Blumenschines lived there. Take time to explore and read as you go. Art displayed from many artists of the time as well as the family. One area displayed current Taos watercolor artists.

We enjoyed the house and exhibits very much. You really got a sense of the people and their lives there. Some very nice paintings and drawings. The outside of the house is a bit run down and the garden needs help badly. Really deserves a 3.5.

Taos in its essence is a less built up Santa fe. I can not recomend coming here more, air bnb will get you cheap places to stay, everything is in walking distance, bicycle friendly and laid-back. Watch out though, the single main road can back up entirely.
