Took the kids to the Carnival Food Fair held at the North Florida Fair this year on November 6-8 2020. I thought this was a wonderful idea to host in lieu of the annual fair because of pandemic. Very pleased to see how many people came out to support vendors. Didnt think it would be as crowded, but it was. Lots of people came out to get their fair food fix. The weather was perfect and the food was delicious.

The kettle popcorn was extremely long and not moving and they should have had more than one vendor selling popcorn. Also the funnel cakes was extremely long but at least that one was moving. I wish they would have had more food vendors considering we had to suffer without the full Fair experience

Beware of pick pockets and people selling mini turtles in the parking lot, it is illegal to sell turtles under 4 inches if they are not for scientific purposes, its misleading to sell them as kids pets because they are choking hazards and can get kids very very sick with salmonella if they handle without washing hands.Finding parking here is hell. The fairgrounds are small but functional. Come here for 2 hours max of fun.

Great place for family events my wife and son and I just left a Lazer light show, which was really a neat experience. We had a blast (minus the little one crying a bit)I would definitely recommend to friends.

Awesome Lazer Display!But there were so many people not social distancing NO MASKS! Im glad I stayed in my van and watched ! Its time to invest in a drive-in!

Its a little fair, but five hours is never enough to get through half of what they cram into this place!We ride lots of rides, eat, and ride some more. Lines are never terrible during the daytime.It smells like a fair for miles around! Two big Ferris wheels, tons of vendors, animal barns, fried EVERYTHING, and festive, happy people.Please remember to bring a couple dollars to give your bathroom attendant. Its weird, but its what they do here lol.I grew up going to the Western Washington Fair, which is probably 10* this size, and I have just as much fun at this fair.

I only go there for the elephant ear.

If you enjoy people watching as I do, you will have fun here. Excited children, carny hawkers and beautiful college-age women to watch. Pricey, short rides but amazing carnival food! I had a huge eclair with custard filling that was like a religious experience!

Fantastic experience, from the carnies to the rides! There are several exhibits around for those who want to slow down and relax, from art to petting zoos and even pig races. The general admission price is $5 (at the time of writing this review), and I would recommend the $25 unlimited rides pass once you’re in, unless you plan on only riding one or two rides. I only took a few pictures but the fair is EXPANSIVE, it would take around 15 minutes to walk from one side to the other. There are also food stands / trucks galore around for you to enjoy!

They had a laser show, and it was great, just wish it would have been a lil longer

Had fun and great food as usual. Had loaded pulled pork fries for only 6 bucks. Enjoyed the buildings that had displays ranging from animals to science fair. Kids love the petting zoo. Good rides for all ages but definitely pricey.

Good and crowded food fair

I had an INCREDIBLE time just browsing through each building and looking at all the amazing different types of arts and crafts that people have made! I definitely will be going again!

Nothing like it was, when I was a kid, BUT the circus is awesome and always different each year!! Thats enough to make it worth going for and spending all the money that it costs each year for the family. O, and the animals make it worth it as well!!

My kids love it. Me, not so much. I feel like its as good as any fair. The people are nice, the food is good, the rides seem well maintained. However, I just dont like big crowds, loud music, lots of smells, cold weather.......if youre good with all that though, Im sure youll love it. The circus was the bomb though.

Long lines, one or two ride were closed out, but apart from those situations, very fun, a lot to see, good selection of rides and food, but be ready to wait in line a lot. Would I recommend it? Depends on the person, if you like to get on rides and dont mind waiting a lot of time, go ahead, but if you dont like waiting Dont go. Overall Good experience.

This fair was great had an amazing time I especially love the circus it was my first time going to the circus since I was a little kid and I was able to enjoy it with my childrenas it was their first time going to the circus ever I especially loved when the woman juggled with her feet I loved how The balancing act was and I really really enjoyed the amazing duo of Brazilian couple that did the cage. I also enjoy going around seeing all the animals especially the Little pigs they were so cute my kids also loved itthe food was amazing lots of different choices which was good in many different price points as well the games are good a little pricey not too bad but however it was so great family night out.cant wait to see it again next year I cant wait to see the circus I cant wait to see what they do next .

I havent gone to the fair in YEARS, so I didnt know what to expect. I was NOT disappointed. Rides, shows, food - I enjoyed it all. Some of the workers were slightly less than cordial, but nobody was downright rude. It was worth the money for sure.

Had buy one get one free unlimited rides - excellent deal. The rides were great fun, especially the big Ferris wheel and bumper cars. The church food vendors were just great too. Dont miss the animals!

First time attending and I took the kids. Wasnt as crowed as I thought which was GREAT! The kids had lots of fun. Wish I had prepared better financially, things are a bit pricey. But the Supersaver tickets help save BIG!

The facilities was great but the gun show was terrible the prices were double what they usually are we went to a couple of the gun businesses in Tallahassee and had to get stuff there

I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. We reluctantly went while visiting the daughter n grandbabies. We watched the pig races n went to the circus! Very good fair!

Loved all the cute animals in the petting zoo! Enjoyed the Anastasini circus tremendously. My kids were enthralled. Hope they come back next year!

This is the first year as a vendor and coming to the fair and it was amazing. Definitely will be going back. The staff and ppl are so nice and overall it was a great experience :) ABC Wreaths

These days since Im no longer a kid, I go to the fair for the food. The food is usually pretty good . I like trying the new foods that have. I hate waiting in the lines though.

This place has events and fairs throughout the year. Depending what the setup is it can be great and not so great. Circus, fair, gun shows, car sales events are some of them. Plenty parking and it is always free to park. You still have to pay for events to get in.

Its okay this year a little of the same far as deals go. lines be hectic for admission and tickets also some rides . Tallahassee is quickly expanding and the fair is getting overcrowded. my advice eat before going and just buy snacks at fair some of the cash vendors can offer better on their prices on their products.

Purchased some Italian ice from Astronomical Italian ice and it was fabulous! I always look for them when I go to the fair!

Love the fair. The entry ticket location needs to be revamped on one side along with the parking on that side.

The atmosphere was fun and family friendly. I took my adult Daughters, we had so much fun and ate too much great food.

Make sure youre ready to do a lit of denying for the games if your not trying to go broke because they will be so persistent sometimes. Its fun but expensive at that. I recommend getting the 25 dollar unlimited ride pass because buying tickets is literally a waste of money.

Where did all the animals go? Lots of rides, lots of food. Everything goat...but not yoga. Great family fun day.

Whats not to love? Funnel cakes, cotton candy, caramel apples, kettle corn, corn on a stick, Italian sausages, giant turkey legs AND I got to hold a baby alligator this year! I look forward to this fair every single year and out rarely disappoints. North Florida Fair is fantastic!

For this to be the capital of Florida, seems like the fair would be bigger and better organized. Maybe the fairgrounds needs to be moved to a bigger location and in a better area.

Was there for the recent dog show and as always a great experience.

The parking is horrible. The entry cost, food and ticket cost are really high.

Always love when the fair is here. Boys are old enough now to ride the rides for small kids and I love watching their faces.

PARKING IS FREE!!! It is a fun place for your family! The people that always try to cut are annoying so make sure to guard your spot!

We always love when the fair comes to town. Lots of amazing food, fun rides and neat shows. The last few years there have been less rides which is a little disappointing, especially when we get the unlimited ride pass.

Everything was good ,but pricing was to high and need a better selection of food

Slightly disappointed this year as compared to past years. Parking continues to be an issue of pure chaos depending on the day or time. Ticket lines and entry lines are confusing and I personally witnessed near fights between patrons due to the lack of organization. The food selections and rides continue to be solid and plentiful. Security and a feeling of safety remains consistent. Prices are a bit high but overall, a fun time at the fair.

As far as county fairgrounds go, North Florida fair grounds is very well maintained. They have gun shows and boat shows in the summer months and the ground are kept very well. The restrooms are clean and the buildings are air conditioned. Parking is abundant as well

Just wish they would talk some of the vendors to lower their prices. Way too expensive.

The south entrance forces you to walk by the row of cat calling, game barkers trying to get you to play. The problem with it was that the aisle is so narrow that you can even get more than a couple feet from them. Its not a fun experience.The saddest thing I saw was when a very young boy (around 5-6) had just received a sweet tea. He took one step back and as he was raising the cup to his mouth to take a sip, it slipped from his hands and exploded on the ground. He started to cry. I asked the guy at the counter (who watched it happen) if he would replace it (because the actual product cost to him would be so insignificant) HE SAID NO, THAT THEY COULD BUY ANOTHER ONE. The father was broke and they walked away as he tried to console his son. I took pictures and shown them to the fair managers who seemed shocked at what transpired; but, who knows if they did anything. I did try to find the family to give him one and they were lost in the crowd. But anyone who brings their kids to the fair, you want them to have wonderful fun and fond memories. This child will always remember this fair experienxe with a sour note.

Fun place to go, great food and exhibits. Go early, very crowded the darker it got. Was looking forward to the Ferris Wheel, along with my Granddaughter. We got on and the operator took us up to the top, brought us back to the ground level and got us off. Very unhappy with that, I think he just wasnt paying attention to his job!!

Theres enough free shows to make the $8 per adult entry fee a pretty good value. And kids under 5 are free which is great. You can take small kids to pet the animals and to see the free circus and magic show. But if you want to do any rides, or if your kids get older, it could easily be 40 bucks per person to come here.

Great layout and easy to get around but was a bit pricey.

Its usually a good time with the rides and food but the venue is pretty dirty during the fair. I think there could also be more officers there cause it gets violent sometimes and people smoke weed around the kids.

I went with my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. We had a BLAST!!!!!! This was my first year in Florida for the fair and we cant wait to see it return next year.

Very nice Fair, attended Cattle Show to watch students from a School I represent on the School Board. East access and no traffic jams like most Fairs.

I enjoy attending several annual events there each year and always find the venue to be clean and maintained well.

Never again on a Saturday night. Stood in line to get entrance ticket then another line once inside gate for 45 minutes to wait for ride bands. Two booths, one person each booth four lines merged into two massive mad aggravated people. A friend with her child was waiting in line at the ticket booth behind us and a fight broke out and they stopped ticket sales at that point into the gate so she left because she did not feel safe . Lines at rides were 30 minutes plus. While waiting in line for a ride with three 11 year olds, the people in line behind us cursed every other word and that seemed to be the majority of the crowd in general. Disgusting. An all out fist fight turning into about 8 people which ensued about 10 ft from us while we were waiting for our kids to get off a ride. The families that were left were shooing their kids out the front gate as fast as they could. Its a shame that you cant take your kids to the fair at night with the Pretty Lights because of the rough crowd that takes over and overshadows the fun, making it more scary than fun. Go on a Thursday or Sunday and the crowd is much better even at night.
