The Foster Tanner Fine Arts Gallery, located on the historic Florida A&M University (FAMU) campus, is a unique and remarkable arts center that serves as a valuable resource for students, faculty and community members. An alumni to the FAMU Fine Arts program, the Foster Tanner Fine Arts Gallery hosted my senior art exhibition, and both the track lighting and natural lighting (provided by the spacious windows) illuminated my work, giving each piece an enhanced aesthetic appeal. I was also able to host a Visual Arts showcase to consist of wall art, body art, spoken word poetry and a live jazz band. The dual levels and ambient lighting within the space created the perfect ambiance for this epic event that I will never forget. I highly recommend this art gallery for anyone looking to have an inviting, impressive and memorable exhibition in an extraordinary space!

A wonderful art gallery with thought provoking exhibitions! Walls Turned Sideways are Bridges: Narratives of Necessity is phenomenal and a must see. If you live in Tallahassee and havent visited before, then your next Saturday trip should be to Foster-Tanner. Park for free on FAMU Way and walk up.

Over the past two academic years, I have used the FAMU Art Gallery to help students find their voice, using art-based learning to create their Poster Presentations to debrief their summer internship experience. Taking the students to the Art Gallery, was the day, I taught outside the classroom. The students and I, thoroughly enjoyed the art, the interaction with the Art Director, and the relaxing atmosphere of the gallery. Visit the FAMU Fine Arts Gallery today, it is the best!!!

The Foster-Tanner Fine Arts Gallery is an amazing resource and exhibition space here in Tallahassee! I was deeply moved by the remarkable Walls Turned Sideways are Bridges: Narratives of Necessity exhibition which showed such a powerful intersection between art and activism. There are wonderful public programming events connected to their exhibitions and I often bring my students to their gallery to include their exhibitions in my courses. Highly recommend!

Foster Tanner Gallery is consistently relevant, inviting visitors to return with well curated, informative, and interesting exhibits. The natural lighting and large windows make the space feel welcoming and warm, unlike many museum spaces which feel closed, cold, and dark. I am consistently pleased with my time spent in this museum and I highly recommend it to others.

Foster Tanner is a lovely two-story exhibition space. They offer a variety of interesting art shows throughout the year. Patrons may see nationally recognized artists, the artworks of important collectors, or the work of graduating artists. One exhibition held annually is “Pinnacle, a Nationally Juried Exhibition.”The staff at Foster Tanner are friendly and informative. I highly recommend a visit to this exhibition space located on the campus of Florida A&M University.

GREAT Gallery!!! I love when they have an opening because they also have great food then. Their curator is very helpful and informative. Cant wait to go back!

Foster Tanner Arts Gallery is a Tallahassee gem. Located on FAMUs historic campus, the Gallery is an asset to both students and members of the community alike. Including various programs such as Fostering the Arts (a free guided, art-based gallery activity geared towards children), the gallery is constantly working to engage its patrons and community. Its a space that everyone should take the time out to visit!
