Very clean establishment. Great staff, much more attentive than other casinos in the area. Highly recommended if you want a good drink and chill atmosphere!

I like this place not just i work there as the graveyard shift cook its camaraderie that we all have there with the customers and with ourselves food is good so you should come down and visit us...

Some times you win, sometimes you lose. Had the best dance floor for Top 40s and now it has the best fried Shrimp, besides the Bleu Note.....

Its a large group of people, so large and uncomfortable to walk through to get inside. The reason it’s so uncomfortable is because a lot of people don’t smoke and walking through that group you inhale a lot of second-hand smoke.Now admittedly I dont frequent casinos. This may be a significant difference between my review and the review of other people who may frequent casinos. Being in the military, and being somebody who doesn’t drink or smoke, often results in me being a designated driver. So the only thing for me to do at this location was to eat. So pretty much everything I notice about this place has to do with food preparation, the crowd, or the appearance of the building inside and out. That is probably something that most people arent going to be looking at and they probably dont care about as much.Lastly this place did have a fairly nice dining area, it was too cold to use but there was outside dining available as well and it looks like it would be very nice to sit out there. It was nicely located on the property of the casino.Enclosing this place was fine. Although I dont gamble, it looked like there was a lot of different gambling games that were not represented there. So if youre going to this place with the purpose of gambling, it would be worth it to check online or call ahead to make sure they have the games you want to play.

This casino has a very friendly vibe every time I go there. They just added a sushi bar and the sushi is fantastic, get any roll for $8 or 2 for $15. Mexican Roll,Spicy Tuna and California Mango are my favorites

Rick, WE ARE OPEN! The Great American is launching Summerfest 2020 on August 1st. Same exciting table game action, special food and beverage offerings and same great promotions. Come play it safe with us!!!This is the text I received on July 26th and thought, what a great idea to get people to come out to play because it will be in the open air of the parking lot. But when I tried to call Aug 1st I got no answer, then I stopped by on Aug 4th and was told by a Security Officer (In a Red car) that it would open today (Aug. 6th) so I stopped in to play and was told by an arriving worker that they havent received the Permits from the City of Lakewood to open yet. He said it MIGHT BE open on Monday??? I understand the frustration of not opening when you promised but, since you have no problem texting and/or Emailing us mundane information daily and/or weekly, you could of sent out updates on your reopening via Email / Text or at the very least had the info on your phone recording. I hope you have let the powers that be from the City of Lakewood that One; the waiting period for permits is unacceptable and Two; that there is an ELECTION coming up! Good Luck whenever you finally open!

Food is average, atmosphere is pretty good. From what I have seen its a place for the older generations. Live bands are ok, sometimes they play some good up lifting music. The night i wrote the review must have been reggae night. Not really food for party music. Its a good place to eat and drinks with friends. I had fun dancing when the band took break and they played newer music, some of the older folk had fun dancing while the band was playing. Good vibes, good experience.

The restaurant cook has trouble reading orders. Ordered 2 prime rib dinners and a chef salad to go. When got home had 2 baked potatoes for 2 prime rib dinners. However only 1 prime rib dinner and 2 chef salads. Most irritating

First time visiting this place. Vast menu options that included American, Vietnamese and Japanese. Tried the Lakewood Roll and Edamame! Very flavorful and will be back at the Sushi Bar soon!

Everything is awesome! Food was absolutely amazing, drinks were affordable, and a nice pool hall! I dont gamble so I didnt check out the card tables, but from a few glimpses it looked really neat, organized, and professional.

Was really surprised at their live music venue. A cool stage with dining and dance floor. This is only available on Friday and Saturday so be forewarned.I do like the fact they pull down a large screen and show the Seahawks game on Sundays with an assortment of ballpark foods. Very friendly atmosphere and lots of fun during and after the games.Oh yeah, there is gambling too. Only card games, but a cool layout. Bathrooms are usually very clean and the decor is pretty cool.There is two pool tables hiding over by the restaurant in the rear. The restaurant (not associated with the casino) is black Bear diner.The staff is great and the bartendars are friendly and knowledgeable. Sarah is my favorite and she works Friday-Monday evenings...

Me and my girlfriends were in the casino having a great time, when it came time to leave there was a gentlemen outside causing a ruckus, the security person Chris shut him right down, so nice, calm and professionally he definitely made us all feel safe as we got to our cars.. what a great employee you got there..

It has been our go to dance place but since new owenership the calendar has not been updated. Its a guess if they are having a band or not . was here on a Friday night 10/25 , with a good band and the place is dead . Time to get someone to update and maintain the event calendar

Great get away for the grown ups

I am so glad to say I am glad I found this hidden gem, I didnt know how good the food was until a co-worker mentioned it to me and stated all the different items they have tried were all great. My 1st visit I chose Steak and Eggs they were great my only complaint is my hash brows were pretty soggy and I personally like mine crispy on the outside but soft in the center. The 2nd visit I ordered the Top Sirloin Steak entree and it was great, I was glad however that I added on a Cesar Salad because the Mash Potatoes and Steamed Veggies were rather small portions. Staff are friendly, wait time is under 20mins, and the prices are very comparable to other local casinos.

I worked here as a cocktail waitress and had to relocate due to military. Im all the way in Hawaii and miss the wings, the baked spaghetti and the people! Loved all my co-workers, it really felt like a family. The type of Management makes a HUGE difference!

Went to pick up an order. This was my first time there. I went up to the bar to ask about the order. The place was dead. The bartender looked disgusted that I interrupted her while on her cell phone. I went to waiting area. I stood there for 12 min while the girl in the back was giggling and chopping it up with a male (heard them talking) cook I presume. until a manager walked by. So I stopped her to ask about the order. The manager came out with the same bag that I saw sitting on the counter from the moment I walked in. Poor service!

Literally sat in here for 30 minutes and wasnt I.D. nor offered anything until I approached the bar. Tons of workers but no one working other than the bartender.

Its 10:12 pm on 14 December service is terrible we went though the first set of band and there are no waitress anywhere to be found first time ever I sat through a whole set and not be served. We finally stopped someone to order was told go to the bar I have been coming here for 6 years on Friday and Saturday night, this place has gone down hill bad not sure if its ownership or what I have noticed alot of the regulars have disappeared time to move on to EQC and Muckleshoot

I have played blackjack in Arizona, New York, Missouri, Wyoming, and California. Most casinos are fun whether I win or lose. This casino was different. I agree with another review here that the dealers seem shady. One dealer wouldnt speak at all even when spoken to repeatedly. This casino seems like it it has the potential to be great. However, they need to educate dealers and staff that people come to have fun.

I was only in and out to use the bathroom so I cant really say much about the overall casino. But the bathroom was kind of gross when I visited. One of the stalls was completely trashed with a backed up toilet containing an impressive pile of #2 and toilet paper. Yikes.

Love this place if you looking to play some pool on a late-night its definitely the place to go

My wife and I came Saturday for the live music and had a blast. Sonic Funk was awesome and the crowd really seemed to be enjoying themselves. We thought the music started at 8pm but upon arriving realized 8pm is when the doors open to guests and music begins at 9. We didn’t see any servers taking orders as they were just coming in themselves so I went to the bar to place my drink order, the bartender was very friendly and got my drinks made quickly, as the night progressed we still hadn’t been approached by a server even though we saw multiple in the room. It was quite busy so we waited a bit longer understanding the servers were possibly frazzled but still nothing or no one. I saw a young lady dropping off some food to another guest so I got her attention and addressed my frustrations of “why I had to keep going back and forth to the bar for my drinks?” She apologized and offered to get me something but I had just gotten a drink from the bar so I declined and she left. Soon after my wife and I were approached by one of the supervisors (Nina) who stated she had been informed of the situation and wanted to make sure we enjoyed the rest of our night and had the service we needed. She was very polite and seemed to be truly concerned about our less than stellar experience. Nina personally brought over our server, introduced us and told her what we were drinking and said she she’d be back to check on us in a bit. Much to our surprise she did come back multiple times throughout the night to make sure we were taken care of. The rest of the night went on without a hitch, our server (Amy) was very helpful and polite, The food was GREAT and the drinks were comin! To have supervisors/managers/higher ups in this type of establishment/environment that really care about the satisfaction of their guests is hard to find. My wife and I really appreciated the effort made by all the individuals involved and it is the main reason we will be back in the future. You got some good ones Great American!

The most depressing casino I’ve ever seen! The bear restaurant in the front is nice and there’s a cute little area as you walk in with old fashioned slot machines and very clean nice bathrooms but it ends there. There’s only at most 10 tables and a bar in the “casino” part of the place and everybody looked at me like they didn’t understand why I was there, mostly guys and maybe they even knew each other but someone who worked there even asked me if I needed help finding something. I wonder if my eyes didn’t look dead enough to be there... not really I was trying to look at something called the balcony view which was supposed to have a balcony bar but which the employee informed me was already closed for the day at 7:30 pm oh what a nightlife! Second star for everything till you get to the casino part which was nice, nothing special but nice. Also I’ve eaten at bear diner at other locations and they were really good.

Have you tried the wings though? I know this is random but if youre a chicken wing fan like me, this place has fantastic, giant, delicious chicken wings! I have never gambled here, I only come for the Thai style wings inside their bar/restaurant! They make great cocktails too!

It is a great place to get together for a meeting. Plenty of room and Im told to rent the room for the meeting is the best price around. Friendly helpful staff too..

The staff is always friendly and efficient. We go with a large networking group. They do a great job keeping track of everything. There food is good, and I love their breakfast buffet option.

One of my favorite places to go if i want to play table games. The dealers are all really friendly, helpful and talkative. Theyre always happy to comp you a meal for gambling. Nice environment and good bar. Its really a fun place to go.

First time there. We were in the back with the live music. We enjoyed the band and, even though we were there to remember a friend who passed away, we had a good time together.

2018 My New Years Resolution is to have a drink once a month for a whole year! This is a perfect spot for me, very nice and chill. I went on a Tuesday which is karaoke night! I kicked it at the bar.. My bartender, Angela is such an angel! She really made me feel comfortable and special. Angela had me try different wines to find out what I like best even though wine isnt her preference. They have Taco Tuesdays there, Ill try the tacos next time! XoXo

Food and the live band were GREAT! The waitress was very busy, but still gave us adequate attention considering. Almost got 4 stars (instead of 5) from me because the live band was too loud... Almost lost my voice and lungs trying to talk to my friends two feet away from me... But had such a great time and delicious food... I had to give them 5 stars.

Bad food & even worse waitstaff.I had to leave the nightclub area twice to go out to the bar to get my own drinks. I was there for 3 hours & saw my waitress 3 times.I didnt see her the last hour &20 minutes. Had to ask a different waitress for my bill, & still waited 35 minutes to get that. Finally a 3rd waitress who was a manager came by, I stopped her & told her the situation, 10 minutes later, she appeared & compd my tab.Thank you for the 3rd lady, however I wont be back.

The bartender with dreads is the only good person in this entire casino, every cocktail waitress I’ve had is a straight witch, if you don’t give them a $5 chip the first drink they bring they are rude and will walk right by you when trying to order a drink. There are tons of crack heads that cut in on the games and play and hand or two then leave messing up the odds.Also I wouldn’t trust the parking lot with anything nice including your wheels.

I really enjoyed the food and there were great selections at the bar. Lots of good vodka choices and very nice bartender. We ordered the pasta and it was make perfectly as well as the Bahn knots which were a awesome take on the Vietnamese pancake. Good coffee and breakfast. Pancakes were excellent.

My husband and I went in for lunch at the ripe tomato its the worst service we ever had. There were only two tables and we where one of the tables and twenty minutes later we didnt have have drinks or anyone ask if we wanted anything. If I could give less then one star I would

I went there to watch the four bands last night, came early to try to catch happy hour. It was so busy there but the staff was still friendly and the food was great. Angela, the bartender, made me feel very welcome. I will be back for karaoke.

Great American has great deals, football specials and lots of give aways! The food is amazing and most importantly the staff is very friendly and on point.

My husband and a few friends were told this place has great live music on the weekends so we decided to come check it out as we don’t get much free time. The band was ok, crowd was not very big but could have just been that particular night. Food was great and the staff for the most part was amazing. A majority of the servers I saw always had a smileOn their faces and quick to ask if we needed anything if they made eye contact. Our server however was a different story sadly. Never got her name but I’m certain she was pregnant and I’m hoping she was just tired because of it and doesn’t treat all her customers like she did us. Every time we asked for something it seemed to irritate her and she made it known by the expression on her face. I saw her do this to multiple tables and it’s the only reason I didn’t give a 5 star. Other than that we had a great time and look forward to seeing other bands in the future!
