I called phoenix arcade after having another technician out to look at my 3 games and not getting results. Phoenix Arcades sent someone out the next day to remove my monitor boards for their in shop rebuild. In about 3 weeks my stuff was done and back in working great. The colors are brighter and the monitors look new. I would recommend them highly and will utilize them again. Its great to have some place that does this in the valley.

I contacted Tim in 2013 for a repair on a rare arcade part which he stated he could fix. I paid the bench fee and he responded with an email that he could not fix the item. Almost 2 years later, multiple emails later, now no response at all, I do not have my item. Tim was very enthusiastic to help at first, then came excuse after excuse.I could not recommend trusting him with anything. I still have the emails to prove it. Very poor service. Took my bench fee and kept my money. Stay away from this company if you want your property repaired or better yet, returned.I held out hoping that my polite contacts with Tim would return my item. He will not respond to me at all. After reading the other bad reviews, I felt it was necessary to let others know so they do not get cheated. His excuses were very similar to others I have seen. It was in my wifes trunk, Im mailing it out tomorrow, etc.Bad business.

I called Phoenix Arcade Repair to see if they could come to my business, and my home all the way in Flagstaff, we had a emergency when our game room went down from a storm. They said that they could travel that night after there scheduled appointments and be their in the morning. They worked all morning and got all the games working! I could not believe they didnt even charge me extra!!13 games working in less than 6 hours, and then stopped by my home to fix a game I had there that I didnt tell them about until they were there. I WILL RECOMMEND PHOENIX ARCADE REPAIR TO EVERYONE! Thanks Guys!!!!

In May of 2013, I got in contact with Tim to restore my fathers pinball machine, and to build a MAME emulator arcade cabinet for me. I paid him ~$6600 for the two jobs, and he picked up the pinball machine. At the time of this review, in February of 2015, Tim still has my money, my machines, and has been refusing all communication with me for the past three months.Towards the summer of 2014, I became suspicious at the long string of excuses he was using. He always had various issues that prevented him from delivering the completed projects; He scratched the side of the pinball machine with his belt buckle. His wife was in the hospital. His mother in law was sick. He was in Florida working on another project. He had a toothache. His driver was sick and unable to make deliveries. His toothache got worse and he went to the hospital. His driver was in California on another job. Eventually he just stopped responding altogether.I eventually flat out told him that I was tired of getting the runaround, and would pick up the machines myself. All he had to do was provide the location of the warehouse and I would pick them up. In response, he explained to me that he had been dishonest with me, that there was still a problem with the machine and that rather than tell me, he had been avoiding me and stalling for time hoping that a replacement part would come in. He apologized and asked me to give him until early November to complete repairs. The date came and went with no further news or correspondence.I responded (understandably upset), saying that I wanted to pick up my machines as soon as possible, and that I no longer believed his excuses. He sent an e-mail back on 11/12/14 saying that he was tired of working on the machines anywyas and had no desire to complete the repairs. He would be in contact with me as soon as he was back in town to set up an appointment for me to pick them up. That was the last contact he would contact me.I have tried everything within my power except physically driving to his house and knocking on his front door to get in contact with him. Ive e-mailed him numerous times, Ive left several messages on his business and cell phones, I visited his (now defunct) storefront in Mesa. He is refusing all contact with me. He has my fathers pinball machine, he has my MAME emulator, he has my $6,600, and he has absolutely no interest in returning them.I urge anyone who reads this message to carefully reconsider giving Tim your business. Talk to me, talk to others who have posted bad reviews. The nightmare Ive been through could well happen to you as well. I cannot sleep at night from stress and worry.Tim, you will read this message, I am sure, as youve read and responded to others who have left poor reviews. Please return my fathers machine. It is one of the very few memories I have left of him, and if anything happened to it I would be devestated beyond words. I am available at any time. You know how to contact me.JenniferEdit:Tim has deleted this review from his facebook page. I have yet to receive any word from him.

My two experiences with Phoenix Arcade have been less than stellar, on my first encounter the technician they sent out failed to diagnose the mother board failure that was affecting my game, he was nice guy but after 35 min’s of fumbling around, he gave me a misdiagnosis which attributed the cause to a faulty power supply issue that he couldn’t address due to lack of parts on hand. The end result was that he requested the hour fee of 100.00 dollars after only spending 45 min’s on the game that he had no idea how to fix and I was nowhere closer to having a functioning machine. Ok I should have learned my lesson the first time but I thought “Hey we all have our off days and if he’d had more time and equipment like at their shop, they’d most likely do a better job. I’ll give these guys another shot by allowing them to take another game I was restoring to their facility to evaluate and repair.” The end result of that effort was a lot of unreturned calls and missed commitments for the scheduled pick up of the game and humorously the demand to be paid up front at the time of pickup. Of course I cancelled and after running into others who’d used Phoenix Arcade and had experiences worse than mine, I feel fortunate to have only loss 100 bucks dealing with them. The bottom line is that they have poor customer service and lack the technical skills needed to successfully repair some types of systems, or at least the one I own. Additionally any repair service that demands to be paid up front before services are rendered should be avoided. Let my loss be your gain and know that there are several other businesses in the valley that provide the these services for a fair price and will not ask for payment until the work is complete and you’ve approved it prior to them starting. Fore warned is fore armed, good luck!!

Do not go here, even if you can manage to contact them. Garage based business, not legitimate business. If you notice, the good reviews are Google users and one is the guy whom they send out to miss diagnose.

Do not deal with these people! Tim took my $1000 for an advance on a Big Buck Hunter game. A year later now and I have no game, no refund and he wont return my calls or emails! Unprofessional.
