Has new films (such as Rogue One) as well as some dates for old films (such as the anniversary showing of The King and I) as well as specials like the Metropolitan Opera. My only complaint is the sound volume (I bring earplugs) but all theaters seem to be kind these days.

The Visulite is a charming and unique venue with old-fashioned architectural character! The staff is friendly and professional. The theater is always clean and the seats are very comfortable. The downtown restaurants are a perfect pairing for a night out! The Visulite is our familys favorite theater, hands down. Perfect for date night or family fun.

Wonderful staff. Good healthy choices for refreshments along with the usualMovie fare. Wonderful choices of films. I love the film series and look forward to its return. Same with the opera. Who else in a town of 25,000 has livestream opera??? We are so fortunate to have such a great theatre in our wonderful small city.

When you look online all you see are the nice lay z boy seats however this is NOT for all films and isnt disclosed when you purchase tickets online which is the main reason we chose to see a movie here.....nice to have beer served and get to order local food but just really bummed about the seats.Update: Thank you for the update on checking the theater first thats a great idea. My wife was still super excited to eat Mexican food, drink beer, and watch hocus pocus so it still made for a great date night.

The Visulite Cinema is a delight A small town intimate theater in anauthentic historic downtown setting. Offers first releases and most important to us, before the virus, a weekly independent film series. Great entertainment, quality snacks and a meeting place in Staunton.

One of the reasons that Staunton is a fabulous small town. The Visulite brings both top-rated arthouse films and feature blockbusters to an appreciative audience. It also hosts a popular weekly art film series with a host and follow-up discussion. Great food, beer & wine, real popcorn with real butter. Cant beat it!

I have been attending the Visulite since it opened. Many of us here in Staunton were happy to finally have a neighborhood theater, and owner Adam Greenbaum quickly built a loyal following. I belong to the movie club that meets on Monday nights to a full house where innovative films are shown and discussed. Staunton is fortunate that Adam got off a train in Staunton and brought us this gem of a theater.

A true throw back to the old time movie theaters. The popcorn is freshly popped & buttery. Although the building was a little old, i still enjoyed the movie!

The Visualite is a treasure in the small city of Staunton. We regularly drive 37 miles from Lexington to Staunton so that we can see excellent art movies that never make it to Lexington. Sound and projection quality are first rate and the atmosphere is so friendly. Not to mention the follow-up gelato at the Split Banana (around the corner) after the movie--the combination makes a great date night. We love the Visualite!

This is a smaller, more intimate place to see movies. It has history, its local, and the people who work there are fantastic. You can go see a movie at a place where youre moved through like a herd of cattle, or you can go to a place where you feel welcomed.

This is a very small local theater in the heart of downtown. Give yourself enough time to figure out your parking situation, as there is no private lot. They show select current films, both blockbuster and independent, and often have current movies not found in nearby chain theaters. They run older movies occasionally. The ticket counter, restrooms, and hallways have a certain vintage charm, but you only spend 3% of your visit here and it doesnt matter. The theaters are clean and have p/leather seating that is modern, roomy, and incredibly comfortable. Also, props to the ticket pricing for not being in that weekly grocery budget and modest mortgage range.

I have been coming to the Visulite since it first opened. Adam Greenbaum the owner cares about the customers and does anything for them. The Visulite gives you a great theater experience with comfy seats and great sound. After putting in a second screen in made it even more better. And now serves alcohol which makes the movies better. I recomend this theater. And now the theater is going into its second remodel adding yes a third screen Adam is adding new for the better changes and its getting better
