The Palace Theater is a gem in SW Connecticut. We who live there are fortunate to have it and must make sure that it continues to thrive and grow to attract more attendance from more places. The theater is surrounded by good places to dine, within walking distance and the parking could not be more convenient.
A nice place to see a concert when things get back to normal
Love this place. Always bring in great shows and entertainment.Staff is friendly, building is beautiful! A lovely night out every time.
The Palace is a great alternative to schlepping into the city. Ive seen Broadway touring companies, operas, concerts and comedy shows there. I recently brought friends to see the musical Once. The production and talent were top notch. The box office staff were so helpful (Ill never buy online again). They helped me find the best seats for the price. Then, a few days before the show, they surprised me with a phone call informing me that since the tickets they sold me were now partially obstructed due to a last minute set change, we were to be upgraded. Now thats amazing customer service!
A very nice looking building that has a large two floor theater for events. It has a small place in the lounge for waiting. Specific seats are given when purchasing seating.
Historic theater, great for live performances. Easy to get to, affordable and surrounded by many different dining options.
Very nice theatre in the downtown area of Stamford. It has a very elegant and classy feel. Can feel very crowded at times. I have not gone to a multitude of shows, but the ones I have gone to were a good experience. Doesnt seem to be a bad view in the place. Facilities were clean. Parking is a pain but thats city life.
Saw Styx here May23, 2019 with a Meet N Greet with the band!! 2nd row, right side center, on Tommys side!! Ended up stalking the bus parked right out front...I found an open door and, they just let me in...I got a face to face, a signature, hug and 2 pictures with Tommy!! BEST NITE OF MY LIFE!! I aint been the same, since...on a #StyxKick X 5!!!!
Saw an amazing performance of Rocky Horror show Friday night, every member of the cast was outstanding. Very well done. I believe the cast was from the Phoenix Theater group? Correct me if Im wrong
Wonderful concert. Michael Stern has moved the orchestra to a new level.
Good acoustics but some lousy chairs! Insist on orchestra seating or center mezzanine. Just heard a fabulous concert featuring Rachmaninov Piano Concerto #2. Love Stamford Symphony!
Beautiful venue! they do have a concession stand and allow concessions in the theater! we bought food and then ate it quickly before going in but should have just brought it in with us!
Very nice place, intimate setting. Not a bad seat in the house!
Not bad place to have your meeting/conference.
Extremely nice Venue. Easily accessible from I -95. Plenty of parking in the area Including directly across the street at the Landmark Garage which is capped at $3.00 on weekends. The Theater is Beautiful inside, is Handicap accessible. It has Restrooms and a nice refreshment area as well. There are Plenty of shops, (Stamford Mall)Lodging, and restaurants within walking distance. Catch a Show, make it a weekend getaway. Plenty to do.
This place is gorgeous. My goddaughter had her graduation here. Absolutely wonderful.
Nice place. Looks like theaters used to look 40 years ago.
The audio system needs work. The vocals at the last three concerts I attended were not very clear. Hard to hear what is being spoken or sung
Always great music in a very nostalgic setting.
Amazing place with great spots for a lovely picture. Staff are extremely friendly and the best part is the concession with varies selection chips and drinks.
Every seat had a great view! My children could see the stage, even from the mezzanine level (age 5 & 2)! Parking was right across the street and very convenient. Lovely venue! I would definitely go to a show there again!
I had a wonderful time! For King and Country were awesome! The only down side was that it was WAY too loud! Ill be back though! :-)
Saw comedian Kevin James. Great venue. Dont think theres a bad seat in the place.
Stamford Symphony at the Oscars. Absolutley Wonderful!! Beautiful historic venue. Fantastic acoustics, comfy seats, great staff and cheap $3.00 parking across the street. Im coming back.
Pretty much all seats are fair to good, mostly good.
Great place with decent seating, nice acoustics and awesome staff. Everyone is so friendly! Pricing is good, too.
Great theatre. Intimate beautiful architecture. Close parking and great restaurants in the area.
Great venue to see a show!!!! I will be back
Great place to see Christian artists and miracles
I was here because my niece graduated. I am so proud of her! The graduation was nice. The 3 rating is because I use a walker and found getting in, out and around extremely frustrating. It is an older building, maybe not up to code for accessibility Im thinking...
Fun but very hard to hear whats going on, music loud hard to hear voices.
The Palace has good acts. I subscribe to the Stamford Symphony. Its a little hard to find a comfortable place for my feet with the metal bar under the seats.
Beautiful old theater. Went to see a comedy show. They keep it uncomfortably warm in the winter. Dress in removable layers !
Great crew, nice crowd, great venue
There was no air circulating on the upper level. Seats were too small so I couldnt use the armrest. The help was seating people when the show started. The bathrooms were nice though.
The show was great. Beautiful theatre.
Incredible staff. Great performances. Must see
Amazing setup, the stage was expanded a few years ago. Saw a couple of performances here, and really enjoyed them.
I saw a comedian perform here; I sat on the mezzanine and while I could see the stage, I couldnt see the seats below me.Seats were a little narrow and uncomfortable - its unfortunate that for even trying to save a little bit, you lose out on comfort extensively. The feel from the top is cramped.Refreshments range from cheap wine to mediocre mixed drinks, grab bags of snacks (Chex, potato chips, etc.); this may differ based upon venue, but for $5 I wouldve been better off grabbing a slice of pizza next door.Sound quality was great. Lighting was great. Parking is actually really good in terms of timing and ease of access at $3, and while we had to wait a bit getting out, Ive experienced far worse in far smaller venues.
I Love The Palace Theatre! Some of my favorite moments happened there.
Tons of wasted space. Needs updating.
Worst sound Ive ever experienced at a concert. Never coming back.
The teen writing program is excellent
Ladies at the box office were wonderful. Parking is horrible though if you have any type of handicap or even injury... Horrible
Any time you get the chance get the front or close to from seats. Honestly you are so close to the people showing its great. If not your type of fun. Mid, balcony seats are still great too. Always recommend checking the place if someone you want to see is coming around town
Great place to see your favorite band.
Inside Dannys Box at the Palace, from the New Play Forum was a great experience! Staged reading was very well done.
Great venue. Small and intimate. Terrific staff!!
Nice medium small venue. Great for any type of act.
We were here with my son for a kids show. There is a parking lot on the other side of the road. The building is visible from the outside, look for the signs. The inside is really impressive. The stage is a bit small, but visible from either direction.
If youre looking for a good place to come and see live shows, this is not it. Youll get more entertainment from watching a YouTube video. The place is old and depressing with a hint of death. I regret coming to see Gabriel Iglesias at this place, but thats what happens when you visit a 3rd rate place. When I came that day my friends did not make it, I later found out that it was because of the employees who sent them away because they were 5 minutes late.Again just stay home and forget about this place.
Great venue. Non-profit. Saw Styx!
Acoustically not the best, but wonderful venue otherwise for great shows and concerts. Stamford Symphony is simply fantastic
Lovely place, attractive and clean. They are are extremely accommodating to the disabled. Great sound system.
Great historic place but updated to top notch venue. Saw Danny Gokey. Incredible night!
My family had soo much fun at the bubble show!
Went to see Shen Yun. Beautiful venue, friendly service.
Great place for a concert
The theater is nice we saw Eli Young Band there the other night. However I found the executive director of the theater to be rude. He was running around during the show telling people they couldnt record the band and the songs. I have never been to a concert where this is the case. But he spent the entire show telling people to stop. He was running up and down the aisles. At one point I was sending a text msg (checking on my kids) and he stopped and told me to put my phone away.
Great show very entertaining, truly amazing magic
Never go to a concert here, the sound system is terrible, it was so loud with a very bad quality, our ears hurt. I asked at least 10 people and everyone had the same experience.
Great place to catch a show. Everyone is super nice and Helpful! Great location and parking!!
Theatre was nice. Great seats but the snacks are ridiculously expensive. Make money but dont take advantage.
Older venue but nice not a bad seat on the floor level.
Great location. The staff could be more friendly, but maybe they were tired the night we went there.
Small, comfortable, intimate venue. Seeing a concert is a snap. No hassle. Park, eat, see the concert. They make it a really enjoyable experience.
The place is amazing, we were in the mezzanine area, really good concert. The 4 star is because the system they have seems to waste a lot of time, it creates confusion, and even got to experience customers fighting because one of them did not respect the line, and it got bad. I know we all were in a rush, time crunch for the concert, and after making the line we had to do another line to print out the tickets(thats were the fighting started to happen) all ppl got frustated, mad, etc. And then we had to make the line again to get in, then another line to go the the 2nd floor, then get in and try to find out the seats, very crazy night. I got there just in time when the artist started to sign the 1st song(so was lucky to get in just in time after making all those lines) felt bad for other ppl fighting, but based on time I did not intervine, and also its up to security to do something about it. Which honest did not see any on the outside, only after the 2nd doors -main lobby- a few, but not enough for what was going on that night concert.
A good set up. Everything is labeled good and has restrooms. Ok parking. Theres a garage close by. They have food near by.
Very nice, I havent been there since the mid 1970s
Clean well organized
Very Nice
The outside shell--lobby and ticket area--are generic and modern. However, they, thankfully, have saved the old theater, which is a real landmark. Also, the place is not huge, so there is a feeling of intimacy.
We went to see Spamalot. What a great show!
Saw Kevin James, so much fun!
Its a nice place to see a show.
Nice, cozy place
THE DOOBIE BROTHERS ROCKED IT TONIGHT!! GOD BLESS THEM.
Great small venue. Parking right across the street.
The staff were great and the performance was excellent.
Great place to see a show. Check out this years guests
