Too crowded.I see that the museum has responded to this review. I thought it was the one in the mall when I called it a germ cesspool. But it was too crowded the day I attended. Perhaps there are days with less crowds? It is unfortunate that when one attends the facility there are always people waiting to look at or use the same exhibit. Perhaps I have only been at peak times. The crowds are overwhelming for introverts. I could enjoy it if there was a day when there were only 20 or so people there perhaps. Thank you for your response.

This place is great! More suitable for middle schoolers. It has a bunch of enjoyable and fun things to play with and learn something new. The admissions are $8 to come in. I wouldnt come here again. Its more of a one time thing. But overall a good experience!

We went here about 5 times over Christmas break. Because of our membership at our home town children’s museum/ science center we were able to gain entrance at no additional cost. Our kids enjoyed the simple generators and the crafty, hands on options. We didn’t do any of the extra cost options. It would be nice if there were some kind of marked or dedicated parking. We just paid to park in the street mast days.

This is a fun and engaging hands-on science center that kids will love, and learn a lot while having great fun. As an adult, its hard not to try out some of the exhibits, and that’s encouraged as well. The staff is wonderful. They wander around the space periodically to check on how you’re doing and answer questions. Every city should have a science center this wonderful. Bravo Mobius!

We were excited to visit the science center for the first time...we tried to find parking but all the spots on the street were taken, the one open lot was full, the other was mostly reserved. We asked three people who were parked in reserved where else we could park...none of them even had a suggestion for alternative parking....Maybe the website could post suggestions for nearby parking for those of us that are unfamiliar with Spokane. We never did get to visit the center. We ended up at Wonderland and had a blast.

We ended up having a membership at a local childrens museum in the Bay Area (CA) and it gave us free access to this museum which is located right by Spokane Falls. Its also located next to the SkyRide. We werent planning on staying long because its not that large inside, but they did a great job with the space they had. Kids (11, 9, 5) had a great time and spent about 2 hours in there. They probably could have spent longer if we let them. Theyve been to a lot of childrens museums, and they were pretty entertained with this one. The exhibits appeal to kids of all ages and teach a lot of science through the exhibits.

Our family has an annual membership to both Mobius Science and Mobius Childrens museums. I would highly recommend both but for different ages. The science museum is really most enjoyed by kids 5 and up. There are a number of fun activities and many activities are changed often so kids can return frequently and still find something fun to do. Its only a block away from the childrens museum and its just across the street from Riverfront Park.

Both of your places located in Spokane are fun, but I have a way to make it even more fun. To start, I’ve figured out that most kids like characters from little kid tv shows, their favorite being Daniel tiger. I think you should make a section about the dangers of not wearing pants.

Im giving this 3-stars because of the price; $10 for anyone over 1-year old. This would be fine if there was more to see and do, as the science center is really just one big room. Charging $10 for kids 3 and under is ridiculous because the exhibits/activities that were available were geared for older children. We saw and did everything in about 45 minutes. We have been here twice in hopes of having a different experience than our first time, and were disappointed. On a positive note, the place is clean and the staff are really friendly. If you plan on visiting here, definitely get passes for here and the childrens museum to get your money and times worth.

My son loved BUILDING things and answering questions to games. There was a MONEY exhibit - a great tool to use to teach children how to save and spend well. Plus many more...Purchase a bounce pass to visit both The Mobius Childrens Museum and Science Center in one day!

As a parent of a curious four year old, this place and the sister facility (kids museum) are absolute necessities for staying entertained in the colder weather. It’s not a huge place, for instance, the Durham Museum of Life and Science where even an adult is going to find hours and hours of stuff to do - but given the space they have to work with, they do great. The rotating exhibits and permanent ones are both high quality, we always stay for hours.

Kids are completely, 100% engaged the entire visit. Hands-on fun activities that teach STEM skills and the lab activities are also great. Good value for admission. Last winter break, we paid just a few more dollars to do the lab experiment, which was a cow eyeball dissection -- super cool! Usually only college students get the opportunity to do something like that. The young staff leading the labs are college and high-school students who clearly excel science, enjoy children, and are good communicators. So much to see and do here that even when it seems crowded, there is always something available for kids to do. Restrooms are clean and spacious. It is cold in the building; not well insulated -- but it is an old renovated power plant, so just wear warm layers. And the view of the river, falls, and Monroe Street Bridge out the west-facing windows is great. For parking, if you cant find metered parking, I recommend River Park Square garage or the Parkade (a tad cheaper) and you can then walk through the series of skywalks to get to River Park Square and then to the street level to get to Mobius. (Skywalks are especially good for cold, wet, and snowy days; and its simply fun for kids!)

It was ok. My hopes were really high because of a science center I went to as a kid, but it wasnt even a fraction of the size. Mobius is a tiny science center with barely any attractions, although it could have been due to the time of day or because of the holidays. I was going to do my daughters 2nd birthday there, but I dont think I will. She had a ton of fun in the playground part and was a lot of fun to watch, but I think a birthday there might be too much chaos.

It was ok. It was very loud in there but the kids really enjoyed the exhibits. Similar to the science center in Seatlle except on a much much smaller scale. The lady at the front desk was very nice. I was not impressed with their birthday parties which is why we were there. All the kids got to do was crush a rock to take home. It did not hold the kids interest since only one got to go at a time and each turn took several minutes. A group science experiement or demonstration wouldve been better.

This was a fun place to visit, I just wish it was bigger. Located behind the downtown mall, this one story science museum is easy to get to, but not noticeable from a major street. There is usually a craft going on for older children and various stations for kids to experiment with. On the day that I visited there were two different school groups so the place was very crowded. I would not recommend this place for littles under 3 as the activities would be too challenging and if it were to be busy, difficult to keep tabs on them. Lines did form behind each activity and my little had to wait every time. There is a small gift shop and for a dollar more each ticket, you can gain entrance to the Childrens Museum which is located in the basement of the mall across the street for the day.
