Reminds me of my dark days in engineering. My advice to freshmen....run as fast as you can out if this dorm

While the facilities and equipment are amazing the staff isnt.It seems that there is not enough training given to the staff members as to how to operate the equipment and how to troubleshoot problems. Not all staff members but some are very rude as well. This is not all of them .. I have met really nice people but I have seen two staff members being very mean with my friend.

Great place to hang out and work on projects in the makerspace! There are study spaces, a game area, the makerspace, a sound recording studio, and a photography studio!

Great place to create, play, study, and have fun with other HFS residents. Its more than just a maker space, or just a sound lab, or just a gaming area, or just a place to study, or just a place to rent equipment. Its a community that you cant really find elsewhere on campus.

Great place to not do all of the studying you should be doing

Access to games such as ping pong, Foosball, pool, computers, and consoles. Access to music and recording rooms. Access to study spaces with full suites of software. Access to a dabble lab that includes 3d printers, a laser cutter, mills, soldering stations, sewing, and an assortment of premium hand tools.

Very fair prices for access and cistron supplies, and an all around great place to work on projects or relax with friends.

A fantastic new addition to the resources that UW student can use!
