It is a really well-run organization. The sailing school and the racing program are top-notch. Nice staff. They’ve really done a good job of reopening safely during the pandemic. There is no better value in sailing.

Cruise N Learn with Nate was extraordinary, but I am afraid that the extra of the ordinary cant be express in a review. You are going to have to experience it yourself and then youll enjoy that extra quality in his way of sharing his experience, his knowledge and his skills. Nate knows how to create the exact tension and balance that allows you to go ahead and be in charge of your learning process while at the same time he is in charge. Absolutely a must take course with him.

Can’t say enough good things about SSC. I moved to Seattle during the pandemic and joined SSC right away. They accommodated a COVID-compliant check-out day soon after I joined and my wife and I have been sailing every week since! Boats are well maintained and it’s easy to reserve a boat.

Why deal with the hassle of owning when you can be a club member with a variety of boats to sail maintained by professional and skilled staff. Take it from me, its the best way to sail in Puget Sound and beyond!

We had a great time sailing, but the sailboat needed repairs to its engine, gas gauge, transmission, and breakers.

Ive been a member for almost two years, and Ive been nothing but impressed with the amazing instructors, friendly staff, and large selection of boats. This is the best and most cost-effective way to sail the Puget Sound.

This is a great place. From the condition of the boats to the quality of the instructors, you can not get a better deal for your money. I received my ASA 101 to 105 certifications while I was a member there and I took advantage single handed sailing their boats as much as possible. I always received great assistance when docking and there was somebody always around to answer my questions.I eventually got my own sailboat and Im no longer a member. But, the experience that I received there was invaluable. If you want to learn how to sail, you can not pick a better place.

This is the best time you can have on a sail boat....the staff is friendly and they teach you the ropes and you get to steer the boat and be a Captain for the moment. Bring your family and friends!

This was my second course this year. Both of the instructors were excellent and emphasized doing things the right way over and over again. I learned a lot of information and look forward to applying it to future sailing adventures.

I took ASA 101 and 103 on consecutive weekends. The classes were both very well run and a lot of fun even in the soaking January rain. Im a teacher so I appreciated Justins relaxed personality combined with clear, thorough instruction. He was very patient in both classes which had people who were completely new to sailing along with some like me who had some sailing experience. We sailed on 3 different boats that were all well maintained and provided us with a variety of experience. I would recommend Seattle Sailing Club to anyone who wants to learn to sail keel boats. Im looking forward to sailing a J80 on some dry, and maybe even sunny days!

Great facilities and wonderful folks! Just finished my first lesson. Everything went like clockwork. The lesson materials and instructor were fantastic, and we had a great time out on the water as we took our first steps to becoming sailors. Cant wait for my next lesson!

Went there for an offsite team building event with my coworkers. Everybody had an absolute blast. The staff were friendly, easy going, and patient with our group of beginners. We even got to race against each other! The boats we sailed (J/80) were very fun and easy to manage. Would definitely do this again!

Just took ASA Instructor courses 201-205 with Beth Steinkoenig at SSC. Super impressed by Beth (amazing instructor!) and all the SSC staff I met. Very professional operation, well maintained boats - and perhaps most importantly, the overall vibe is casual and very welcoming of newcomers. So impressed that Im now hoping to teach there, which was not my original plan!

Ive been a member for a couple of years - their fleet is fantastic, the staff is fun and friendly, the rates are excellent and competitive. Even at peak season they have enough boats that theres usually something available when you call. Theyre accommodating and knowledgable, outstanding in every way... I almost didnt want to write this review, just so I could keep them to myself ;)My Credentials: In the last two years as a SSC Northwest Club member - Ive taken my ASA 101, 103, 104, 105, 106, booked ~50 day sails, and bareboat chartered a 7-day San Juan Islands trip. Through their instruction, those skills also let me safely sail the British Virgin Islands, Bay of Islands New Zealand, and the Croatian Islands in the Adriatic Sea.If the SSC courses had been a bad experience, I might never have had those adventures!
