Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the Jack Mackie Studio is the history of him suing people for photographing and incorporating his bronze sculpture Dance Steps into their work. This of course being a public installation that was paid for by the City of Seattle. He then went on to sue The Seattle Symphony for using it in a brochure. He also financially ruined a photographer that had taken a picture of the public art who had posted a pic that included the dance steps in some stock photos, even though the photographer had never made a dime, and neither would Mackie.If you go to this gallery, please take a dump on the floor, and copyright it so you can sue him if he cleans it up.
