This park, to be honest, is one of my least favorite places to hike in the Scottsdale/ Mesa/ Tempe/ Phoenix area. I could be spoiled by other hikes Ive done in the Maricopa Regional parks.. but anyhow, I was not too impressed with the scenery here in comparison.I came here in winter, and it was just the color brown all around. Brown mountains, brown somewhat muddy trails. I very quickly became bored.The positive however, is this is a great beginner hike. Theres very minimal ups and downs. Also, I think personally this trail is better tailored for mountain bikers as the trail didnt have much rocks on there and was pretty smooth.
