My 12 year old son and I just moved to Arizona during a very stressful time in our lives. This was a huge cross-country time when all of us are figuring life out during the pandemic. Hoop Code has created a very positive, inspiring, and great space for my son to start making friends in our new town. The program is very professional and the coaches are very skilled and energetic (all according to my son as I haven’t been able to see it in person given the restrictions). Interactions with the staff via email has been fast, positive, and super helpful. Communication has been very good as well. I have seen an improvement in my son’s skills and even his physical health as he is getting back into the routine of fitness that sports provide. I am very pleased with Hoop Code and would recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their basketball skills, overall fitness, and confidence, all while having positive social interaction! They have created a program that is fun for the kids but with the expectation that they are there to work hard in order to improve their skills and bring their game to the next level. Hoop code is by far the most impressive youth basketball program in Phoenix . The coaching staff is amazing! The drills and lessons learned about teamwork and sportsmanship is fantastic. Hoop Code successfully balances the fundamental improvement of their pupils within operating a club business which includes transparency and cost structure as well as consistent communication with parents. As a former NCAA Division One athlete I can confirm that I am very pleased with the direction Hoop Code is navigating my young athlete.

Hoop Code is the best basketball development academy that I have seen and experienced since our son started playing basketball. Over the past two years our son has been attending clinics with Hoop Code and he also played a total of 3 seasons on a Hoop Code team. The coaching staff is great and very knowledgeable and their hearts are at the right place with these kids to get pushed and to get better on and off the court. I have great respect for the entire coaching staff as they truly do their best to discipline and develop our kids to be better basketball players and individuals. Hoop Code is also great in recognizing and acknowledging when familys are in need of financial assistance, with discounting their fees to help the family’s with multiple kids to still be able to play sports at reduced rate. They had helped us with the fees and that is another reason why we appreciate the Hoop Code so much.

If youre looking to find a basketball league/program thats not a bunch of Dads coaching their sons, this is the place to go! My son switched from Jr. Suns to Hoop Code and in one season (3 months) has made huge improvements. They train the kids on all the skills and basics and regardless if your child is just learning or at an advanced level their program is tailored for all skill levels. Its always high energy, the coaches are awesome and my son couldnt be happier hes switched! He has so much more confidence, his dribbling, passing & shooting skills have improved drastically and just his understanding of the game is so much better! Our only regret is that we wished we made the switch sooner!! My sons development in 3 months is more than he had in 3 years in jr suns and its a testament to the owners, the amazing coaches and the program! Thank you Hoop Code!!!

Our experience with Hoopcode has been simply amazing. Their level of organization and their dedication to the sport and the kids is just amazing. My son joined the Hoop Code team about a year ago. He had played some basketball but needed work on the fundamentals. His skills have definitely improved but what is even better about Hoop Code is the philosophy behind it. The coaches motivate the kids in a very positive and encouraging way. The environment at practices and clinics is fun but productive.Having played competitive sports my whole life including a Division 1 sport at an ACC university, I have seen how coaches can either encourage or deter kids from playing sports. The coaching staff at Hoop Code definitely does the former. My sons basketball skills have improved dramatically but more importantly, his self esteem has grown.

My son joined their Biddy Ball clinics about 4 months ago. This clinic is extremely organized and well operated. All of the coaches are knowledgeable about the sport and how to interact with the children. The coaches have helped my son improve mentally and physically.He recently played with their 1/2 grade team to accompany this. His growth on the court in such a short time was amazing to see. He is obsessed with this program and is always excited for the game, practices, and clinics. They do a great job progressing each athlete at the appropriate rate.

After being a part of three various youth basketball organizations within Arizona, I can say with confidence that Hoop Code offers an experience different from any other basketball academy!Not only do they teach the fundamentals and improve skill sets, but they motivate and enable each child to meet their full potential. As a Hoop Code dad I couldnt be more happy. My sons game has gotten tighter and he is playing with much more confidence. These coaches take time to assist all the players and give advice when needed. All the coaches are very responsive and polite with an attention to detail. It can be a bit pricey but they are more than willing to help with the cost. I would absolutely recommend Hoop Code to anyone who has a child boy or girl interested in playing basketball. Sean and Brandon head the organization with a thought of caring and teaching.

I played sports my whole life and have 5 kids. Hoop Code is easily the most professional coaching organization I have ever experienced. They work on the most important skills and the kids dont know that they are working. The kids are ALWAYS moving, and doing things to make them better. None of this constant standing in long lines waiting for their turn, or listening to speeches. They push the kids in completely positive ways to be their best and work harder. My only dislike is that they only coach basketball. This is the way kids learn best.

Unfortunately we were unable you continue the Clinic or join the Code Team.Keria just turned 10 and now had an opportunity to play on the community team. Her coach wanted to know how long she had been playing. Hard work & discipline & it shows in my sons game. He has played basketball but not to the level of what Hoop Code offers & that’s why I love this organization & will continue to support its efforts! Excellent youth development! Hoop Code has a great mix of encouragement, development of fundamental and higher technical basketball skills, as well as the mental toughness needed to compete at a high level. Our son loves it and we are impressed with what he has learned so far.

My son joined Hoop Code this season in the youngest group, Biddy Ball. The coaches are fantastic and create an exciting atmosphere for the kids to practice and learn skills of the game. What I like even more is the consistent message that the kids can always control 3 things as an athlete: Attitude, Focus, & Effort.

We have been with Hoop Code a few years now. Our son is moving on to High School. Unfortunately their is no program in place beyond 8th grade. The coaching staff has always been professional, motivating, inspirational, instructive. They have taken players to a much higher level. I cannot thank Coach Brandon, Coach Lance and Coach Eric enough. Thank You all for your commitment to the development of these young athletes.

I have been with hoopcode from the beginning. Ever since the very first free clinic they hosted. Needless to say when my son first started i was just looking for something for him to get into that had strong leaders and to give him a new experience in a new sport. I wanted him to have a strong male role models. And not only did he receive that but he developed a skill set i never thought possible for someone his age. Hoopcode should be a household name. If you want your kids to really know how to play basketball and get coached by the best this is the place to be. Give it a try you wont be disappointed.

Hoop Code has many positives.. They have a very organized program and good communication. It seems like that should be the case for all clubs, but after having our sons play with multiple clubs, this is not always the case.Sean, does a great job finding tournaments to get the kids exposure to higher level basketball.The coaches show enthusiasm for the game and have always been positive with the players.Honestly, we are not the easiest parents to deal with, (maybe get too competitive at times), but Coach MarJahn was nothing but good to us and great with young players.Last but not least, they held camps during the covid scare while other clubs were afraid to let kids be kids. They did it in a responsible way and I am forever grateful that they provided some normal culture in an otherwise tough 2020.Thanks Hoop Code.

I wish there clinics like this when I was a kid. It is so fun! Upbeat energy, old school basketball jams playing during the clinics and conditioning, and great sports psychology lessons sandwiched between real skills work. It’s awesome.

My son has been playing basketball since kindergarten, and of all the leagues and clubs he has played with, Hoop Code is by far the best. The coaches are amazing, disciplined, experienced and passionate about the game of basketball. We are so happy they came to Phoenix!!
