I would love to actually take a tour of it but I was not there at the right time. Worth stopping to see though! A side note: as you are driving to see the lighthouse check out the little red house with the jug built into the top of the chimney! I was told it was used to let fishermen know if it was safe to go out. If the jug was howling do not go out! ***Also the care takers of the Scituate Lighthouse has done a great job of posting many interesting facts about it all around the lighthouse!***

This is one the best places to catch sunrises/ sunsets in Massachusetts. Drive up early in the morning to catch the sunrise. It does get slightly busy in the evening.

I liked because you can get close to see a lighthouse. Its not always same situation for.most of thr other lighthouses in New England

What I love about this lighthouse is not only its beautiful view but, most of all, that it is accessible by car. And indeed, history. You can park for free. There is no restroom available. There is no visitor center. You can find some local restaurants, 5-10 minutes drive from the lighthouse. You can play with your kids in shallow water on the narrowest beach next to the house to access a calmer wave. There are limited bench next to the parking lot to enjoy the view.

Nice place, although only a rather small public area. Much of the property consists of the old keepers house, which is a private residence and off limits. Unfortunately, the town has allocated most of the nearby land on the point for vacation homes -- situated in a jumble along two awful roads. Most are run down and poorly maintained

Great place for a picnic, if anyone still does that type of thing. Or just pop open a chair and enjoy the scenery. Also has historic values which I very much appreciate.

Its so beautiful & peaceful there. Grounds are clean & well maintained. Make sure you wear sneakers as it may be difficult to walk on the giant rocks to get to the end of the jetty.

Out on the jetty is a great place to just relax. The views are phenomenal. A must see.

A little gem with great view located in Scituate. Great for a little stroll, play with rocks or just sit there to enjoy the view. Plenty of parking. The lighthouse is not open to the public and there is no public bathroom. People with kids should keep that in mind. I usually spend about 1.5 hours there with my kids.

Parking lot isnt huge but it can accommodate a bus. The history with the lighthouse is great! The location is clean and well kept and a nice place to visit. A sunset over the harbor is pretty.

Its simply amazing. Once you are there you would realize this. Surrounded by ocean from 3 sides. Just amazing. I have been there several times and never feel like- this is it. Every opportunity to go there is a welcome opportunity. If you are a fan of sunrise and sunsets , you must pay couple of visits at least for these two precious moments of everyday. Just note that during different time of year the point of sunrise , sunset view changes; so some time you may not get both views from same spot but I can guarantee for breathtaking views in and around this lighthouse

Wonderful place with a historical lighthouse to enjoy. Parking lot is small but free and the views of the lighthouse, the ocean and the breakwater are amazing. It is indeed a great photo location, especially for the sunrise.

We enjoyed Old Scituate. The location is awesome. It was winter and cold but still fun to visit. Huge open grounds. Very magical and special place for the whole family

How can you not love a lighthouse? You can walk all around it, there’s a nice wide breakwater which - when the water isn’t treacherous - you can walk out onto. This is a photographer’s dream. Only downside is you can’t go up into the lighthouse but the charming and easily accessible area makes up for that. Plenty of parking, it’s free.

This place is gorgeous! Try to go before the sunrise, highly recommended!

Its beautiful & serene. The lighthouse is a nice history. The rocks may be a bit difficult to walk on but it’s a fun experience.

Love Scituate Light. Very peaceful and refreshing. The lighthouse keeper and family are very friendly and knowledgeable of the history of the lighthouse.

Quite location to watch the waves roll in and break against the large pile of rocks. The wind and the sound of the waves are comforting. Small sandy beach was present at the current tide and enjoyed the walk. Easy access road leading to the lighthouse with a surface lot for parking. Although a private residence, a path provides some historical markets, a couple of benches to sit and watch the horizon as the sunsets.

Great Light House “ lantern”.

Nice bit of history where the British were fooled off from approach by a few intrepid women making enough``sound effects`` to sound like a battalion. Fun rock jetty to walk out on. (dont miss thee painted karma stones next to the parking along the harbor side)

You can walk around the outside of the lighthouse, and theres a large rock jetti you can walk out on. Its a fun area for the kids to explore and catch crabs on the small Beach area.

I love lighthouses! This was a nice one and accessible. Take a nice walk on the rocks to catch a beautiful view of the ocean.

Scituate Lighthouse is THE classic New England Lighthouse! Always worth a trip to Scituate and the Main street area. Great place.
