Very well kept. Street parking along the boundary wall only. The rose garden is on one side and open field on the other. They have rest room here also. Place can be busy, people tend to put down picnic spread all over the rose garden side. The fountain on the middle was running and clean. Lot of photographers during good light times.

Great initiative, putting a real life Monopoly in the park. However, it is not as big as I was expecting and it is not interactive at all, purely decorative. You cans see it had its best time as the board lost lots of its paint. This has great potential but could really use a new layer of paint!

This is a really cool idea. The open air and the sun beating down on you as you enjoy the day. Dont try and move the dice as they are huge and possibly permanent lol. There are little statues dotting the park area. Got to see lots of motorcycles traveling around at least 100 at one point. Beautiful artworks nearby

This is a cool place to have fun with kids and take pictures, especially on a sunny day. I really liked the idea of a big monopoly, is just that it really needs a fresh painting in order to look better/amazing.

If you love Monopoly and in the Downtown San Jose area, you definitely need to visit this park. Great place to take your Instagram photos. It is located in front of the Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose. Not giving it 5 stars because the Monopoly board needed a deep clean and lots of touch up paint. It was dirty and the surface paint was peeling and cracked in many areas.

What a nice surprise to have a huge Monopoly game in the park that is located in front of Childrens Discovery Museum of San Jose.I believe that not only kids will going to love it, but even adult will love it, especially to take picture together with the board game. It happended to me, too. If I had more time, I definitely will play it with some folks. So, I just took some photos here Agree with some fellow Local Guides that said this Monopoly needs to be cleaned and painted more.

Date of Visit: Saturday, Dec 14th, 2019Because we came to San Jose - we knew we had to look for the Monopoly in the Park attraction. We had seen it many times on other peoples Instagrams and thought it might be a good roadside attraction worth visiting. It is incredibly hard to get to if you are just driving through San Jose. There is a major roadway with no parking to stop at and just grab a quick photo. We had to pull into the drop off section at the childrens museum nearby and run over to the park while someone stayed in the car.It is a recreation of a giant Monopoly board in the centre of a childrens playground. However, I assumed there would be tokens, etc but there were not. There are other figures in the park but they have nothing to do with the monopoly board. As a roadside attraction, it is a bit of a bust. It was too difficult to access, too far away from the nearest parking spot, and not really all that fun for photos. My recommendation is - DO NOT go looking specifically for this roadside attraction. If you are nearby - check it out. As much as Roguetrippers love oversized things, and quirky attractions, This one was a bit of a letdown.

The giant Monopoly board is in Discovery Meadow, which is right near the Children Museum and inside the Guadalupe River Park and Gardens. There is no street parking nearby, but there is a parking garage that is about 5 minutes walk. The board itself is around 960 square feet, and it is designed to scale. My Review Scale:️:️ (Bad)️️: (So so)️️️: (It is worth trying out)️️️️: (Good)️️️️️: (Wonderful)

The place is simply amazing. Even if it has been created for children, it is incredibly funny for the adults too. A piece of modern art in a park, more than a game. The statues around the monopoly are beautiful and, if you look around, you will find an interesting pair of huge shoes. BTW, I will not tell you where the shoes are, this is part of the fun. Green, along the river, with a road for the runners, the park is beautiful and quiet, an oasis of peace in the middle of the town

What a cool thing to do with a park... putting a monopoly board in it :-) If I lived in the area, Id be forced to have pieces to play on it. It was quite fun to walk around the board. I also liked the tables which also had checkers/chess on them around the board game. This could be such a fun place to hang out.

Mini park with not so giant size monopoly map, it was fun to see it and for some fun photos. however, theres nothing much other than that. I think it will be more fun if theres some houses model for us to move around the map. The park is kinda empty other than the monopoly map and few animal statues. It would be great if theres more trees and seating bench around.

Nice place, little playground, some animal sculptures and the main attraction-big board to play Monopoly, colorful and fun. Its easy to find this place, by the road, near Marriott and Hilton hotels. Accesibility is good (no stairs). Although Im not sure if any restroom is available there.

Been trying to book this board for weeks! No one responds but, they quickly took my deposit! No word on which of the three dates were available. No way to retrieve said deposit if i cant get the date. No phone number to find an actual human to speak to. Do not try to rent this game. Its ran by a gmail that does not respond.

Far from a must see and a bit out of the way if youre not driving. Maybe if you devise some way to actually PLAY this game with your friends as life-size game pieces, then it could be really fun! If youre in the neighborhood though, drop by for some cool pics.

Its a tourist trap ... If you have to get your photo-op in, then BYO 3m (10) step ladder. (Bad perspective standing on the ground!) Either way, you can say youve been there, and you wont have to publicly admit that it was a waste of time. There are no accompanying dice/cards/bank/etc, so you cant play, and its hot and dusty and theres no shade.

I was expecting more game pieces and something more interactive. They only have the permanent game board and the 2 dices. The tables/benches have squares on them so you can play chess or checkers. The park is located behind the Childrens Discovery Museum, next to the Guadalupe River and a parking structure. The location is convenient, just not much to do.
