Beautiful mosaic steps in Sunset area of San Frsncisco. Both sides of the steps have very beautiful a d delightful garden. You can see the view of San Francisco bay and Marina district clearly on the clear day. Upon coming on top of the steps, you can climb up a zigzag stairs up to the top of the hill where the Grand View Park is located. From the Grand View Park you can see everywhere of San Francisco, down town sky line, the Golden Gate park with De Young Museum poking through, the Twin Peaks near by, the Land End etc. It is a very good experience. Best of all, it is usually not very crowded and there are plenty of roadside parking nearby with need to pay for parking.

Beware of thieves working in groups. There was a lady out there carrying a fake baby, zipped in her coat, trying to entice people to find more stairs at the top of the staircase. There is another staircase but Id advise you to get in the car and drive it up to the next level. Also, lock valuables in your trunk.

Really cool mosaic art on the steps. There is parking on the street all around which was easy to find for us. You can get some fun photos here.

The staircase is beautiful and the view from it is also exceptional from wherever you stand, whether you’re on the stairs, on top of them or at the base. Neighborhood parking is available, although depending on the time of the day, there might be a lot of people on the stairs.

It is a fabulous spot for pictures with the mosaic steps on the stairway. Walking up and down the steps would be a good exercise for the day. View from the top let you see the Pacific Ocean. You will enjoy the great view during sunset. So get your camera ready.By the way, bring a jacket since it could be chilly and windy...

Ive been here twice. The stairs are pretty. There arent very many of them, but interesting to see and I wish more stairs were like this elsewhere in cities. There is a spectacular view from the top, almost 360 degrees and see a lot of the city at once. Great for a sunset too. Theres another small stair with mosaic nearby too. Theres also a bus stop at the bottom, so you can go even if you dont have a car.

Cannot say enough good things but for everyone to go and experience these steps. Feels like youre going up the escalators to ParK Guell in Barcelona, Spain, except there is nothing here at the top except beautiful views.

The hidden steps start on 16th and Kirkham so don’t miss that part!! There are a LOT more steps than i thought and i think it’s worth it to do all of it. Great view. bring water though. And don’t plan anything to be right after because you might not see it all or you’ll be late for your next thing.

Great spot to take in some local sightseeing. Heads up: dont leave your purse or any important belongings in your car. A group is going around breaking into rental vehicles or cars with obvious belongings in them. The neighborhood has posted warning signs, listen to them.

Dont park here! There are robbers breaking into your car and stealing your stuff. We left for 5 minutes, barely the time to take a picture and the result was: thousand dollar to fix the car, lost our flight, tablet, jewelry, documents, credit cards!! If it were Texas this wouldnt happen. Stay clear, of this trap.
