Great coaches for their kids swimming classes even if the water is a bit on the chilly side.

Pool itself is wonderful and the slides are so much fun. Just think the hours for recreation swim are too limited and the rules are way too strict. My son is a great swimmer but he still cant go on the slides even if he passes the swim test, which is itself way harder than it needs to be, because he is under the height limit. For a slide that lets out in the shallow end! Parents cant be in the water with more than one child at a time, even if the kids are wearing floaties. A child under the height limit for the deep end cant even be in the shallow end without a parent in the water. Im happy theres a focus on safety but this is too much, especially given there were SO MANY life guards on duty!

For the pool, SF Fitness has corporate agreements, so basically the pool is packed with school children several times a week, so if you come during those times its hard to get space to swim. I spoke to the management at the gym, but they didnt seem to know exactly when those times were. The rest of the gym may be fine, Ive not used that.

This pool was great. I went with 2 of my friends and the pool was empty, so we had a nice quiet swim. They didnt have the slides running but we were there for lap swimming. Its 6$ for adults which is the same as Sava.Lifeguards were very nice. The pool was very clean and just the right temperature. The showers were automatic so they turn off when you walk away. They have a swim suit spinner which is always a plus.

Unfortunately, the pool staff wasn’t really welcoming nor even friendly and I will never go there again. Another dad with his son had the same impression. Too bad, because my little one loves swimming, but the staff made us feel pretty uncomfortable and we left again after 30 mins. Maybe they don’t want children in the pool? However, the staff of the other rec areas seemed really nice and I am sure you can have fun there.

This newly refurbished (within the past several years) has the only swimming pool in town with TWO WATER SLIDES. You can reserve it for parties. Also a great water exercise class weekday mornings. Senior lunch, kids summer camp. Super friendly staff. 2 blocks east of Kaiser.

The Hamilton rec center is a fantastic facility that has most of what one would expect and then some. The full size indoor basketball court is particularly impressive. Its been drawn up from high-schools to pro, so you can practice your Steph curry shot with confidence. :) There are even roll out ping-pong tables. The multi-purpose room are great for kids parties or other get togethers. The playground is better than expected if you have kids. I also like how the playground has only two ingress/egress points on a straight path so you can easy monitor the little ones if they decide to go on a solo neighborhood exploration. Outdoor facilities are also good with basketball and tennis courts and a large green field where you can play soccer or other such sports. The library branch right next to the fields completes the experience.

There is a grand mix of cultures, parents, athletes, children and families who enjoy this Center. I work out with my high school basketball players, hospital workers come there to train and children from all backgrounds come there to play sports and have fun hanging out. An all around great place to be for whatever reason.

I havent been to the swimming pool, but there is a nice basketball gym where you can ask the staff to borrow a ball. You can play pickup there and there is also an outdoor court. Staff are friendly and there is also a small outdoor playground for parents and their children.

Great facilities that are never very crowded. This is a public facility with no door charge that has two well-maintained tennis courts with lights (which is rare in this city), an indoor pool, three indoor basketball courts (as well a couple hoops outside on asphalt), and a big grassy field. Theres also a kids playground. The indoor basketball games can be pretty competitive.

I play on a kickball team on the grass fields at the Hamilton Rec Center. The fields are well kept and free of dog poop. I would definitely take the kids to the playground they have. It is a decent size and there are usually a decent amount of kids playing there.

My son (11 yrs.old) absolutely LOVES this place!!! He often goes to play basketball in the gym with friends on Saturdays. Note: IT IS VERY MUCH OPEN ON SATURDAYS!! For the most part its free of charge, although I believe swimming may cost a buck or two, which is an extremely small price to pay at a place that offers a giant indoor waterslide!! ( amazing!) I believe the woman I met our first day (several years ago) named RENÉE is actually the program manager. She was very nice, informational and attentive, I felt completely welcomed. At the time, my son was 8 or 9 and was a little shy initiating himself to shoot hoops in their enormous gym, since that portion of the program is more of and for teens. With a little encouragement from Ms.Renée and myself, he shot a few hoops and was quickly joined by others,it was such a warm experience. My son is now 11 and continues to attend Hamilton Rec.Center.
