The performance of Julius Eastmans Gay Guerilla was transcendent. This organization continues to attract the most dedicated, skilled musicians.

I have followed the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players (SFCMP) outstanding work since the organizations early years in the 1970s, and I am honored to be a current Board member. It is imperative to continue supporting the organizations work in the present and future, because all arts organizations are now facing very challenging times, and being a leading organization in the contemporary music field, it is especially essential to support SFCMP. They commission work by emerging composers, established composers, and foster the development of young artists through their excellent Music Education Program. Easily the most exciting and fascinating modern music experience to be had in San Francisco. Beautiful and acoustically impeccable concert spaces. Exemplary musicians. Excellent modern and contemporary compositions. Low ticket prices (compare Soundbox, which is outrageous). And the audience is a remarkable assortment of musicians, intellectuals, students, and music industry folks, pleasing to both the eye and the cerebellum.

These are exceptional performances by highly skilled musicians of compositions by leading composers of contemporary music. The music is unusual so you need to come with a very open mind but if you can do that, you will be rewarded with a sound experience second to none!
