Presidio Dance Theatre moved into the Presidio Performing Arts Center, 386 Moraga at Arguello Blvd.....located at the Presidios Main Post. Same contact info. Presidio Dance Theatre consists of a professional Dance Company, Youth Company, School, Community Outreach and co-location space for a variety of dance companies. PDT has had five international tours to perform in Russia, Turkey, Hungary, France, and Belgium. A 2015 tour is planned for Germany. Its a great time to enjoy the expansion of arts education programs and performances. Beautiful new facilities! The specialty of PDT is cultural diplomacy through dance. Besides a rigorous classical ballet training, students learn character, folk, and ethnic dance. They have been featured 3 times at the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival. As a performance-based school, children have opportunities to take the stage many times in the most prestigious venues. Watch for PDTs WORLD PREMIERE, The Little Lantern, a full length storybook ballet, coming June 2014.
