Really nice use of space. 4 theatres in one. A main stage. Cabaret in bar, studio theatres. Very nice staff, Donna and Shelley are the sweetest.

One of the few true Indie theaters, its a fantastic place to lose yourself for an hour or so. All of the plays that we have seen here have been extremely riveting and the time passes so quickly. They are extremely eclectic which adds to the experience; you may wind up with something better than you expected. They also have a stage and put on Burlesque from time to time. Theres a bar, too! Highly recommended.

I love how cozy the exit theater is. I enjoyed the magic show very much. I adored the concessions lady and her attitude and attentiveness. I never thought I would have loved a magic show.

The Exit is always fun. Usually multiple shows going on at once. Small Cafe with beer, wine and snacks at reasonable prices. The people and the productions are top notch even if the stages and the budgets are small. So much creativity and enthusiasm! Close to Powell BART. Wheelchair accessible. Its in the tenderloin but thats never really a problem. Dont hesitate to go see something if you see a show that appeals. Dont fail to catch the Fringe Festival.

Cute little hole in the wall theater!!! Its in building with some other theaters as well, however I only saw Exit Theater! We saw a show by Left Coast Theater Company and it was outstanding. I loved the intimate vibes the theater created it has lighting effects for Im between acts! They didnhave a bar that was stocked and even got pretzels and you can bring them into the theater so during the show you can eat and drink!! Would definitely see a show there again!

The theatre is bare-bones and the staff are average.Sparkling wine was advertised as Champagne and sake was offered with silly accents.Although we were advised that the bar would stay open during the show, the bartender decided to pack up early, disrupting the show with the various clanging and counting. This continued even after the audience tried to shush her.Ive never seen theatre staff have such a misaligned attitude.

Ive produced theater and acted in these spaces, I will always have a special plave in my heart for The Exit Theatre. The people are great and they are what makes this place special. The surrounding neighborhood is not the best at night and your audiences are having to contend with that when coming to shows here. Parking is also a bit of an issue but there are parking garages very close by if youre willing to pay.

Really great facility with four performance spaces. Ive worked with the Exit as a performer and producer in addition to attending shows as an audience member. Its always been a positive experience. The last block from Powell and Market is a little dodgy, but its worth the adventure.

Home of the San Francisco Fringe festival. If youre a lover of independent theater go no further. Funky place with a funky vibe. Raw, uncensored theater where ART thrives and creativity is King.

Great theater performances, but not the best location. Sketchy people outside, but amazing actors inside. Go here for alcohol infused humor when Leela improv is playing, and the once a month burlesque is always a blast. Cash bar, but friendly staff and comfortable environment. Cozy chairs to await your show start with a cold glass of bubbly in your hand and free pretzels to nom on.

If you have any interest in the thriving small theatre scene in San Francisco, this is a great place to come. They have several performance spaces, so shows will go on concurrently and many different groups and companies use the space. If youre a theatre maker its also a great place to look into renting if you have black-box/cabaret type production.

Lovely neighborhood theater, though the neighborhood itself isnt the greatest. I like the tiny bar/kitchen and the staff are friendly. Bathrooms have multiple stalls. Both stages I have seen are well-lit. I like the bar for your drinks in the audience risers in one of the rear stages.
