Subpar golf was an awesome end to our visit to California! The course was challenging but fun and the expierence really was a fun way to recap all the sights we saw on our trip. The attention to detail was phenomenal, and the midweek pricing was crazy cheap! $6.50 for an adult and $3 for a second round! (Trust me, youll want to play again) 5 stars hands down.

We took our kids here to have some fun in Alameda and its a really neat place to visit. My children really enjoyed the slot car racing and the arcade. We would have liked to have tried the miniature golf but unfortunately we didnt have time. Overall its definitely worth visiting if youre passing by and a good place to take your kids for some fun. My only complaint was that either the air conditioning was broken or off when we were there and it was a hot afternoon outside so the temperature inside the business was really uncomfortable. I literally had to step outside a couple of times to catch my breath.

If you are looking for a group activity for your family or company, this is a great place for it. Alicia, the manager there, was super friendly, helpful and accommodating. We went in for a group of 30+ people and had such a great time. Food was tasty despite the fact that they were so unhealthy (maybe that was the reason why it was tasty). But they were hot, made fresh, kinda fried food that were perfect for the activity.

This place was DELIGHTFUL. 18 indoor holes themed like San Francisco. The holes are challenging for an indoor location. Holes are spread out enough so that it doesnt feel packed. Plus you can enjoy beer on the course (they have a hearty selection). Cant wait to try to food - it looked good. Glow Golf is worth it for the novelty.

The idea is good, and the course is fun. We had a nice time here until the end. While we were playing the employees cleared our beers before we were done without asking. Then the arcade took probably $10 from us on broken machines and we asked for a refund and the employees said no. Then they closed at 11:20 without warning when they are supposed to close at 12. Literally turned off the electricity while we were in the middle of playing. It was totally absurd.

My rating of 5 stars is based on the following services, staff interactions and facilities I experienced during my visit on Dec 17, 2019.Time spent at the venue: 13:00 to 16:30 PM, games played: 6.My Experience at Subpar MiniGolf:Customer Service: When I go to the US, I love to minigolf, but the listed pricing they did not have all-day rate. So call the venue and manager offered me a deal, based on my circumstances, and on Dec 17, 2019 the arrangement we was noted and honored in their records.*I am not going to list the details as this was a special arrangement and it was honors because I was by myself.Customer Service during play: Pretty good! They also informed me that they had a office party coming in and had to attend to them. But I had time so it was a none issue.Food and Beverage: The course is equip for players to carry around their Alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages, because the hole marks are equipped with cup holders. That is very innovative as I have not seen that at any mini Golf venues I have visited. They can accommodate and cater to large groups, specifically adults as I was playing around an office party while I was there. (Rating based on service observed and presentation of the catered food provided to the office party only)Facilities: There is an arcade as well as the mini Golf course, there are programmable lockers (for paying customers), as well as cup holders on the Hole markers. The layout of the course will give you an overview of all attractions to visit and see in San Francisco, as all 18 holes are based on the main tourist sites and landmarks related to San Francisco. So if you are planning a trip to San Francisco I would definitely recommend visiting Subpar Minigolf for a round of Golf.

If your planning to use your Go City Explorer pass here DONT. Offer is suppose to include mini golf plus a $10 food and beverage credit and $3 in tokens to the arcade. Attendant only offered mini golf and I had to explain what the pass actually included. Then they said they werent familiar with offer and I had to show it to them on my phone and they had to take pictures of my pass and the offer on my phone to show to their manager???? After all that they said they couldnt give us any arcade tokens and when we asked for food they said the kitchen was closed....dont waste your Go City pass here there are better options.

We loved Subpar when it was in Alameda so decided to check out the new spot in SF--courses have definitely gotten an upgrade which was nice--landmark buildings are better designed and constructed. Our experience was soured by the large group of about forty adults enjoying a work party. They were perfectly nice people and I dont begrudge them their party, it was just annoying to have to wait for them because the space is tight and they kept leaving their drinks and food everywhere so we couldnt sit on the benches while waiting for them to finish. Part of the reason we decided to go on a weekday was to avoid a crowd so this was a bit frustrating. Overall, we were there a LOT longer than I had anticipated and spent most of that time just waiting for others to finish so we could play. Not sure how this situation could have been handled differently as I probably wouldve been equally (or more) disappointed if we had made the trek out there to discover they were closed for a private event. I guess I just wish the guy at the counter had given us a heads up that things might take longer than usual because of the large party so that I wouldve known what to expect. Despite this, my son and I had a good time and I would take him again--maybe Ill just call ahead of time to make sure no huge parties are happening first thing on a weekday...

This place is soooooooooooo much fun! When I first saw this place, I thought to myself, why would anyone play mini golf indoors? But I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun I had here. This place doesnt seem that big and the course might look easy but theyre not!The cost to play is cheap (: Its under $10, definitely worth it! I went here with a group of friends, about 7 people, and we had the best time. There are 18 holes, and each hole progressively gets harder, but i think the middle portion of the course was the hardest. I definitely didnt think it would be that challenging but it was! The place isnt too big so they were pretty inventive with their course to minimize space. Its even cooler that each hole is bay area themed (:If youre looking for something to do around Alameda, check this place out!

I REALLY liked this place in the heart of Alameda. Its a great spot for a date or hanging out with a small group of friends. The space isnt very large, so I recommend not coming here with more than 4 or 5 people. The 18 holes are Bay-Area themed. One of my favorite things to do was actually guess the location of the hole before looking at the back of the scoring card to find out what it was. I managed to get a couple of hole in ones, which helped to boost my competitive ego. ;) The holes arent incredibly difficult, but some require some pretty heavy strategy, especially the ones with high slopes. Ironically, being part Mexican, the hardest hole for me was the Taco Truck one. When youre finished, play some Air Hockey.
