I am deeply impressed by how they handled their offered activities correctly with no hassles at all. I would definitely recommend and refer your services to everyone without any hesitation. Optimum!

A lot of fun! The puzzles were hard, but still solvable. You occasionally have to think outside of the box for answers, but sometimes you dont have to over analyze the clue to get it. My group completed the Asylum room with only 10 seconds left! So you know its challenging, but you can escape!

If Im rating on how much fun I had, this place gets 5 stars. It was challenging and required a lot of teamwork/communication. Even among some friends of friends I had just met, we were able to get out.One downside was that our game had to be temporarily stopped and the room partially reset because we were able to detach a piece of the room when it wasnt supposed to be (long story).Anyhow, check this place out.

On New Years Eve we wanted to figure out something to do and decided to book The Incredible Machine room. The entrance is only a narrow door on Market, and then you go down some stairs to the waiting room. The host gave us the rules and we were on our way. The room was very professional done and had very clear puzzles to solve. We were successful in escaping with only getting a couple hints (you get unlimited hints). If Im in the area again I would definitely do another escape room by them.

Asylum was the first escape room boyfriend and I ever tried. It was a fun learning experience and after getting three or four hints, the two of us were able to get out in 53 minutes. This escape room establishment says on the website that you may be put in a group with other people if they reserve the same time slot, but luckily that didnt happen to us.We didnt know what to expect since it was our very first, but since trying escape rooms at four or so other places, we know that this is one well go back to so we can try some of the other themes.I dont like when they put red herrings in the rooms, and were left carrying non-puzzle items around, but this room only had a couple of those. Some of the puzzles were more difficult than I would have expected, but maybe in a larger group theyre easier to figure out.I really wish there were more escape rooms in the area that would allow for groups of just two to participate; the way I see it, whats the harm in letting a smaller group try a room? Youll still get their money.

Second room done in this location. Challenging puzzles. Amazing room design. It is something you have to experience to really appreciate. Many times you can see rooms being built with gasps and locks being tacked onto random pieces of furniture or boxes. The Incredible Machine actually taps into your senses to move you through the game. Excellent games, amazing owners and Eric did a great job making our game top notch. We’ll be back for more games!

We played the paranormal experiment room. The room was good overall, with a good mix of puzzles and searching that is the hallmark of the escape game genre. Id describe it as a medium tech room with some puzzles solved via conventional physical means such as padlocks and combination locks, and some solved in more creative ways. Our group found that the mix of the conventional and technological, however, led to some situations where it was unclear if the room should be expected to behave magicallyThe atmosphere of the room was fine, with a darkness element in some parts of the room which was fun at first but, in my opinion, lasted longer than was interestingAlthough the room was meant to appear gross and spooky, I have to note that the room was filthy and grimy, and not in a way that advanced the feel, but made it feel like it is not well maintained. Almost everything in there needs to be washed, (especially those gloves, Gross!).

What a cool experience! We saw their sign on the street and I always wanted to try an escape room. A host greeted us and helped purchase tickets for the nearest game, that happen to be an Incredible Machine room. It has hard enough, but not too tough for a newbie like myself. The puzzles and design exceeded my expectations, they had some tech tech that I’ve never seen before. We escaped with just few seconds left, used only 2 hints and had a great time!

I found about this company on TripAdvisor while planning my vacation in the US. They are conveniently located in downtown of San Francisco and easy to get there by bus, metro or by foot.We were greeted by a friendly host Monica and were given rules and story of the game promptly. We played Incredible Machine room and had a blast! Room was very well designed, and all the puzzles made sense. There were a lot of audio clues, so you need to listed carefully as the story unfolds. We had a great time and I wish we had more time to try other escape rooms that they have!

This escape room is pretty fun. We did a room that is not too challenging because a few of us were not experienced with escape rooms, but everyone enjoyed it. They gave us hints when we were led down the wrong path. After we finished the room, our hosts came into the room with us and answered any questions we had. It was interesting to see where we wasted time or where we just missed something important because we were overthinking things. The waiting room is also fun with a few games.

I played all four of their available rooms (as of March 2019) with a group of friends and had a great time. As a player who has over 60 escape rooms done under their belt, finding the wow factor in a game can be tricky but ClockWise knocked it out of the park with their set design and technological integration. While the puzzles themselves were on the more simple side of things, I never felt bored or un-engaged during any of their rooms. The Incredible Machine in particular has some of the coolest set design I have seen anywhere and definitely makes the top of my list of room recommendations. Anyway, dont take my word for it, go experience what they have to offer today and see for yourself!

I found this escape room on yelp - I was looking for an escape room in San Francisco. I actually parked my car closer to Harrison because I thought parking would be tough to find here. It was a 10-minute walk.I did the Incredible Machine room with a total of 7 people. We each paid like $36 and booked online. The place is harder to find because there was construction going on next door. You have to be buzzed into the building and walk into a creepy building. But you just have to follow the signs. They made it sound like it was a puzzle that you have to figure out as a prep for the escape room! The room was more of a moderate level in my opinion, possibly because we had so many people on our team. Its listed as expert and only had a 47% pass rate. We finished with 20 minutes to spare though. I liked it because it required more than just the sense of sight. All the escape rooms Ive been to were mostly puzzles, codes, and locks. The lady who helped us was friendly. But I think she was by herself. In the middle of the game, she told us she had to step out for two minutes. But that was also when we needed a hint, so we had to wait until she came back. (Hints are unlimited here, but dont abuse it)Id come back if they listed harder rooms. The Vegas one seems fun, but too many people. I would feel overwhelmed.

Not a great experience. You want a hint? Sorry you have to wait 5 minutes because the one person running the whole thing (all the rooms) by themselves left the control room. They also take forever to give you a hint because they have to look it up. You also need to know things like (spoiler alert) zodiac signs to complete the room. Don’t go at night. It’s not a great area. This is not in their control because the bathroom is managed by the building owner but there was no toilet paper and someone stole the soap. They are getting 3 stars because they did give us extra time to complete the room and there are unlimited hints. Honestly, I won’t come back. I’ll pay the extra money to go somewhere else.

As an enthusiast that has done around 140 rooms, ClockWise is a company Id go to more likely out of desperation than excitement, but they still host very reasonable games.---Party in Vegas---3 out of 5, but on the higher end. Party in Vegas is an excellent beginner room, which had great theming and multiple fun moments that added to the immersion.Set - It felt like we were in a hotel room after a wild night. There were Vegas-themed props scattered around multiple rooms. The set was pretty basic, but I really liked the theming and how they built the Vegas party vibe.Story - Standard Vegas story, where youve woken up with a hangover with no memories of last night, and lost the wedding ring! Despite not being a particularly creative story, it was fun nonetheless.Puzzles - A lot of physical puzzles, each of which fit surprisingly well with the theme. These were on the easy side of the spectrum with a low level of complexity, but overall above average due to the integration with the set/story.---Asylum---3 out of 5. A small creep factor, and a more difficult room than Party in Vegas.Set - The set definitely felt like an asylum, with its white walls and sparse decorations. There was also a second room involved that had a very distinct vibe. Reasonably well done, but not super memorable from an enthusiast perspective.Story - This had more story than most, and there was a clear progression. I wouldnt call the story unique by any means or even unexpected, but it was there beyond the intro, which is a plus.Puzzles - Above average difficulty, some of the puzzles were multi-layered which I appreciated. There were a couple standard puzzles that Ive seen in multiple rooms mixed in, but overall the puzzles were pretty solid.---Paranormal Experiment---3 out of 5. My least favorite out of the ClockWise rooms, but as a disclaimer, Im not usually a fan of spooky rooms.Set - Sets a spooky ambiance with darkness and fake body parts. There were multiple rooms with distinct sets, but nothing truly stood out. I was fairly unimpressed especially in comparison to Party in Vegas and Incredible Machine, both of which seemed to have much better attention to detail. Also definitely doesnt hold a candle to other horror-themed sets, like those at 13th Gate in Baton Rouge or Hex Room in Anaheim.Story - Whatever story there was, was pretty insignificant.Puzzles - These were actually reasonable, but something was off about the cluing into what you were supposed to be doing at a given time. The puzzles were fairly standard, but they were at least on-theme. There were some neat interactions with set pieces, but nothing that made the puzzles particularly interesting.---Incredible Machine---3 out of 5, but on the higher end. Despite not hitting the memorable/distinctive for an enthusiast mark (required for a 4/5), Incredible Machine was a good quality game with interesting story elements and puzzle integration, and some cool set pieces.Set - There were some really cool set pieces in this room that fit well with the steampunk theme. The multiple rooms didnt have a lot of diversity, but they did have good polish.Story - We uncover a small narrative as we play the game, which involves character interaction thats integrated into the puzzles. The story here was above average and enjoyable.Puzzles - The puzzles fit fairly well with the theme and story, some of them involving unique tech. This made the game cohesive, which I appreciated.

We did the Paranormal Experiment escape room, and had a couple challenges:- The experience is in the dark, and one of the flashlights provided was dead.- We spent 20+ min on the first challenge. When we asked about it at the end, our guide told us that most people need a hint at that stage. It seems like a play-testing miss to have a puzzle that most teams need help to answer as the first challenge that gates the rest of the experience.- A couple times, the difference between successfully completing the challenge and not successfully completing it felt really arbitrary. We tried one strategy, and then later got a hint to go back and try the same strategy. We werent clear what the difference was.- Generally, the level of the puzzles felt a little too easy to us, with a couple that were arbitrarily hard to observe. There was relatively little abstract thinking or complex reasoning that was required. As such, we either solved the puzzles almost instantly or not at all. There was very little opportunity to feel like we were working through a challenge and that by approaching the problem in a novel way we got to the answer (although perhaps we would have felt more that way if wed hadnt wasted so much time in the beginning).- When we finished, the experience was really abrupt. Our guide wasnt actually sure whether we had finished in time or not. We asked whether we made it and she was like Im not sure... check the clock. We expected to see some explanations for the puzzles we had solved/missed, but we were out in 5 minutes. It would have been much better to do a solution walkthrough, even a brief one.Generally I like escape rooms a lot, but this one missed the mark for me a bit.

Ive always wanted to do an escape room and after looking at prices, reviews, and location it was an easy choice to choose clockwise. I booked three tickets online which was quick and easy. Reminder emails were sent with instruction to get there 10 minutes early and that clockwise could elect to cancel your reservation if you did not show up at a reasonable time. So I was all over my friends to be fifteen minutes early. Of course, they couldnt get their sh** together and we were late. Clockwise called and text messaged me to ask if I was gonna make it and accepted us for our reserved time even though we were fifteen minutes late and had a group of four other people waiting on us.The experience itself was challenging and fun although I would recommend you go with people you know and/or feel comfortable arguing with. And that you split the puzzles, basically have a game plan.
